  1. I think a lot of it is a work ethic and drive to better themselves issue with a lot of these qb busts. They’ve all got nfl talent level physical skills so it’s really the willingness to put in the extra work in film study and whatnot that ends up making the difference. Some guys seem way more willing to do that than others. for some it seems they’ve played football their whole life and finally got payed so they take their foot off the gas a little. That all ties into why josh Allen was so liked in the bills locker room
  2. Josh Rosen had 0 help so I’d lean Zach Wilson as bigger bust. The 2022 jets is one of the best situations a top 10 pick qb has gotten a chance to play on.
  3. Crazy our offensive line was decimated for most of both Miami games. I don’t think the heat would’ve mattered if we had some of our olinemen available in the first matchup
  4. I think we have strategically stayed in nickel a few games when teams were running on us and I def wouldn’t say we’re bad overall against the run yet. Back in the first jets game days we were missing one of Milano/edmunds (can’t remember which) and we’d have to sub taron Johnson out to have two pretty bad linebackers on the field at the same time. against Miami you’ve gotta respect tyreek/waddle which I’m sure kept us in the nickel. There’s a pretty interesting connection between the jets/dolphins/packers coaching wise…maybe this is a bit conspiracy theory but I think those three teams’ offensive coordinators talked when working on their own game plans lol. The jets OC is Matt lafleur’s brother and Mike McDaniel is good friends with Matt Lafleur also.
  5. Idk why he’s reading so much into time of possession when we scored plenty and extremely quickly. Also if we’re playing the ‘what should have happened’ game they were gifted a td drive on an absurdly unnecessary roughing the punter penalty
  6. My dream of the dolphins missing the playoffs after all that hype they got took a hit today 😂. On the flip side if they miss still they are way into historically epic collapse territory lol they’d have to finish with 5 losses out of 6 probably
  7. It’s all injuries vs the dolphins. That defense is garbage. They would’ve gotten torched both games if we weren’t forced to play van roten at center for 4 of the 8 quarters against them. It easily could’ve gone the other other way and been a buffalo blowout 😂
  8. Oh yea they were both bad mistakes…but I’d take a bad throw over a big time mental error personally though. Davis had a step and Harrison smith got pulled by the inside route so there was a ton of room to get the ball for a td or at the very worst an incompletion. it really wasn’t a bad read by any means. Also Allen hit knox on a perfect pass the previous play that he certainly could’ve made a play on. I think josh gets SOME goodwill back for the fg drive to tie it up late too (despite gabe getting away with that drop) idk I’m not that high on that mahomes play. He sees the route isn’t there and double pumps the ball and the pressure is coming so he’s like ehhh let’s just throw it anyway. It wasn’t like taron jumped the route out of nowhere, mahomes completely telegraphed it. If pressure is an excuse for bad qb play then josh gets way more points added than mahomes because our offensive line is poop 😂 certainly not trying to minimize Josh’s mistakes…he made too many in that second half. But mahomes blew that bills game every bit as much as Allen blew the Vikings game imo
  9. Looked like oliver and Milano were playing hurt also…Miami has really benefitted from buffalo injuries this year. Idk how they can allow an 8 point comeback to a team with van roten playing center lol
  10. I don’t think the mahomes game ending int against buffalo was any better...honestly I think it was worse. Davis was open on a post on that ot pick vs Minnesota and Allen just missed the throw badly. It really wasn’t a bad read he just threw the ball like sh*t and it was way behind Davis. I’m sure it was at least partly due to his banged up elbow. An overwhelming majority of the time that’s an incompletion or a td. mahomes’ pick he held the ball way too long to make that throw…it wasn’t a good decision and if you’re gonna double clutch a throw like that there’s a good chance the defense is gonna jump the route. Once he pumped you’ve gotta eat that sack or try to throw it away.
  11. I don’t think the mvp voters get too into individual game performances like that but if they did josh did blow that Vikings second half sure, but he also pulled off quite a few impressive comebacks against good teams where he put the team on his back. KC has kind of been bumbling along just edging out bad teams If buffalo and kc both win out, I’d expect mvp to go to josh assuming he plays well. He will have a win over just about every team in the afc playoff picture and he will be likely leading his team in rushing. Not sure how much this effects things but hurts might miss a couple games down the stretch here; I’d expect him to sit week 18 with the 1 seed locked up and he could miss the Dallas game due to injury
  12. This is true and it’s stupid haha if josh had mahomes’ offensive line he’d win mvp easily. It’s honestly pretty crazy he has been 95% as effective as mahomes with an exponentially worse offensive line.
  13. A lot of it is injury related…like everything else this year lol. It’s pretty normal to be down an offensive linemen but since we were down boettger and bates too, van roten gets forced to play center when Mitch morse gets hurt. We were doing a great job against miamis front 7 before morse went down…it felt like josh had all day to throw the whole first half couple that with the fact that there just aren’t many good offensive linemen coming out of college anymore.
  14. Most qbs drafted early get picked by horrible teams and I’m like hmm maybe in the right situation they would’ve developed. Zach Wilson is definitely not in that situation 😂. The 2022 jets are one of the best situations for an early qb draft pick.
  15. Seems like people disregard defense entirely from the convos like this I’ve had about the dolphins in this thread 😂. On offense they’re doing about the same as us with the same talent level…josh is certainly better than tua but they are way ahead at wr2 and our banged up offensive line hasn’t been as good. On defense though, man they are doing a lot less with pretty similar ish defensive talent
  16. There’s 0 truth to it. This division being close for awhile was a mirage created by scheduling. We had all our road division games before playing any home ones and Miami didn’t hit their difficult stretch of schedule until the end of the season and went 0-3 in that stretch. This is as comfortable of a division lead as we’ve ever had. Miami got lucky against us twice with our offensive line being ravaged by injuries or we would’ve blown them out both times. They are at the end of a rebuild after mortgaging a ton of resources on tyreek hill. Their team is just not set up well to compete with the bills long term. the jets are more on the right track but they have a ton of question marks also. Miami is a one year wonder unless they have a huge defensive shakeup what evidence is there that the bills are going to trail off? We were missing just about every high impact player on the defensive side for a big chunk of the season and we were still winning games. seems like people are under the false assumption that Miami/NYJ can continue to make these big splashes in the offseason and they really can’t. Miami traded a ton for hill/Chubb and lost a first rounder from tampering. Both those teams will draft later than they have been too. It’s really more about what coaching staff can develop talent and seeing as the dolphins have ran a talented defense straight into the ground I don’t have much faith in them in that regard
  17. I haven’t seen a single actual nfl analyst say that play was controversial so they’re really reaching on this one 😂. It is still absolutely baffling because Kohou 100% irrefutably held on the same play and got called for that too. We would’ve had a first down if the dpi was called or not the dolphins are the 2021 pats…beat us once mostly due to external factors, played us pretty tough once and lost, struggled against quality opponents down the stretch coughing up the division lead, and will likely be stomped by us in the first round of the playoffs if they make it
  18. We had a third string guard playing center against them for 4 quarters across both matchups and we got lucky? Lol they would’ve gotten blown out both games if that didn’t happen. McDaniel is a great offensive coordinator but he’s not a head coach. They are last in points allowed in the AFC and have a whopping one net point despite being loaded with playmakers on both sides of the ball
  19. Every player makes everyone on here nervous 😂
  20. With how bad the pass blocking has been, josh running the football is protecting him if anything. Lots of rib injury/concussion injury potential when you’re taking a hard hit on a sack which is why the nfl has been so aggressive with enforcing roughing the passer rules.
  21. It’s lookin like the jags could bump out the titans too
  22. It is completely clear that mac was carried by a strong running game/defense and they were able to make the playoffs thanks to an easy schedule. Their offensive line regressed a bit and the whole team has now completely fallen apart
  23. Where is that Miami reporter that said the bills shouldn’t have a team because it could snow 😂. Gonna have to get rid of the packers and bears too lol
  24. Spreads don’t account for losing your starting center and being forced into having a third string guard play center midgame. Saturday night was an easy cover if morse finished the game. Browns game and second jets games really weren’t ‘close’ by any means. They were both back door covers. It seems like Vegas just straight up whiffed on Detroit since they had a historic midseason turnaround…it is not surprising at all that that game was close given the results of their last 7 games (their only loss was to the bills). This was very much not a ‘the bills barely beat a bad team’ scenario. bears also backdoor covered vs philly with a late garbage time touchdown. I wouldn’t say the 9 point spread is proof a blowout is coming…the spread is set there because Vegas wants half the bets to be on the bears +9. It is evidence that a comfortable win is very likely though. Philly lost the turnover battle 3-1 and still won comfortably because they are a much better team than Chicago seems to me like the psychological torment the bills have inflicted on us for years has caused people to not understand what a close game is haha. That bears eagles game was not very close 25-13 with 4 minutes to go in the 4th, outgained Chicago 421-248
  25. I can’t even fathom this. Kohou held before the ball was in the air and got called for that, then clearly interfered when the ball was in the air and got called for that too lol. This wasn’t one call that could’ve gone either way; it was too obvious penalties on the same play that were both automatic first downs
