  1. Of course we do. You get the lower seeded team and have higher priority for home games. If the 1 seed got upset, would keep home field until the Superbowl.
  2. The 2 seed is a realistic possibility now! Take them down and we're a little less than one game back. And the Steelers will still have the Colts and Browns left. Would love the 2 seed.
  3. I've said it all along the biggest win of the season was the victory over the Pats*. Some may not realize that as a signature win but it was. And it is coming into light how significant that victory is, if the Bills had lost the whole dynamics of the season change. The Bills at 8-4 would have a slim lead over the 7-5 Pats* and still have to play them again (and then would lose the tiebreaker if they lost to them). The wild card would also be tenuous. I agree, lets have the Pats* lose to the Rams and be done with them. And then even root the Pats to beat Miami.
  4. First off, true about that 1st TD drive, I saw that error. But to his defense later in the game he didn't get fooled and stopped the play for a loss. Second, while I agree it looks like some is scheme based, one thing I like is that they are adjusting their scheme to this more aggressive style. Having Klein be a factor in shifting the D philosophy to more attacking is not a bad thing IMO.
  5. If it's an either/or situation than I am inclined to go Klein. Klein has come on, a combination of him getting acclimated and the DC figuring out how to use him. And I like the way the D operates when they use Klein effectively. They have him attack. He has made several TFL and several sacks. While using Klein the D is now aggressive/attacking. There seems to be more turnovers and sacks. IMO, in complementary football if a team has a good offense, an attacking defense is better. The bend don't break 2019 stuff was good for that mediocre offense. It's now time for a more aggressive approach. Klein seems to help.
  6. Actually, I'm hoping maybe someone can start a positivity thread after each win, where negative comments aren't allowed (they permeate most other threads). I would seek that out. After a win I like to rejoice with other like minded fans. Those who don't like it could always just not read it and go to the other threads - yet I doubt some posters would be able to resist and the thread would need monitoring. I really wished we had one after the New England win. As a long time Bills fan, I was ecstatic. Could be the signature and defining win for the Bills - a division winning, changing of the guard type historic win. Yet most of the threads were depressed. What a letdown. And in retrospect that win continues to be significant - they beat the Ravens and AZ.
  7. One example of that was on the offensive pass interference play. At one point the announcer said he thought it hit the ground, and then followed it up with "it doesn't matter". What? The refs didn't review it. It was less than 2 minutes to go. IMO, they should have taken a look. Shades of "let him have it" with the Pats* years ago.
  8. It may help to temper the expectations of some though. Because I don't want to have to rely on the Holiday spirit of some here. They already reluctantly gave out a pass for the last 10 point win. I don't know how many more of those passes they have in 'em.
  9. I agree. A raw pick is developing beautifully. The QB and the OC both deserve credit. I don't think the opinion that Daboll stinks is shared by the league. Teams will inquire.
  10. My comment was not "the media is out to get Josh Allen". It was this article was out to downplay JA's achievements and improvement. I gave an example of how the slight by his referencing of the pass interference call as "phantom". It was a blatant pass interference in a game where an atrocious interception was called. I think you are confusing how Josh Allen is being portrayed in the general media with the specific article being reviewed.
  11. My thoughts on the article: 1. The title says "The Pressure is on Josh Allen". The pressure is not on JA anymore. JA's pressure this year was to improve and hopefully bring home a division title. JA is well on the way to achieving those goals. 2. The article seems to diss both J Allen and McDermott. I don't agree. 3. McDermott is dissed by being cast as the man that wouldn't allow the Pegula's wish for Mahomes. The extension to McDermott suggests any bad blood is buried. Year over year improvement can do that. 4. The article is more sneaky about dissing J Allen. Trolling J Allen gets clicks. The article underscores J Allen's improvement and accomplishments. One example is the description in the Rams game. "A phantom pass interference penalty" . That's a troll job. That was a clear grab at the goal line.
  12. Good teams can use draft picks that can be developed and moved into the starting lineup. Espensa is a prime example. He can develop and then move up the chain. This can allow the Bills to move on from a high priced lineman and use the money in another area. Murphy looks like he will be gone. The team will save money and get younger in the D-line. If you want your drafts to be successful in team building you have to have some patience. The 2 RBs need to be incorporated. You don't draft another. I could see another try at TE. And while quality o-linemen can be had in free agency, they don't come cheap. You want to create an o-line that has consistency from year to year. Adding a good developmental piece that works into the lineup is a great way to get a unit that doesn't have a lot of turnover from year to year.
  13. I think the bolded above (MIami is going to be really good for years to come) is really just hype. Real division competition in this day and age requires a good QB. There is no indication that Miami has that key component - and personally I do not think they have it. If Tua is not the answer, Miami is a ways away. They will have to test Tua - and that will end this season in mediocrity. And then even if they figure it out for next season and pull the plug on him, there will be another couple of seasons to bring in another QB and then get them up to speed. Improvement isn't linear. It is easier to go from terrible to mediocre, than it is to go from mediocre to good. Without a real QB they are not div title contenders. I did not buy into the hype and do not consider them good now. Adding to that we are watching the whole QB fiasco blow up in their faces as we speak. Good times.
  14. Using any free league can run into this problem. You just need your league to vote and accept, one player - one designation. If multiple exist it goes to highest, ie QB>RB>WR>TE. This problem has occurred before -back to Colston as TE days. And then again with Webb as a QB and WR.
  15. I agree with the OP for the most part, the game is great today. The conditions have made it more offensive oriented and that is fine by me. Plus, of course, the Bills are doing well and that makes it all better. And now there is so much more coverage, and the computerized fantasy football can make all games interesting to me. Still room for improvement though. Get the politics out. And get crowds back in.
  16. New England. People here have discounted that game all along. Huge, huge win. Biggest win of the year and it was extremely tight. People here have discounted the significance of that win all along. Discarding it like NE doesn't have talent. New England isn't dog meat. Just beat Baltimore. Lost to Seattle at the goal line, and of course the tight loss to the Bills.
  17. Well, if Norman had been in there, this would have been a Bills victory.
