Simple when NE and TB play, root for what's best for the Bills, and that's a Bucs win. Divisional losses by the Pats, Jets, Dolphins is always a good thing.

Brandon Beane end of season press conference 1/27 11am
Greg S replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What would you want him to say? He isn't going to reveal his plans going forward. He isn't going to throw anyone under the bus publicly. Beane and McDermott are pros at talking a lot but saying very little. -

Exactly. Look at the Bills teams of the early 90's. They were just as successful passing the ball as they were running it. Thurman was the key to the no-huddle. When he was having a good game that made Kelly's life so much easier throwing it to Reed, Lofton etc etc. Allen will be much more dangerous with a strong running game to compliment him. Plus you need to be able to run the ball at certain points in the game. 3rd and 1 to convert a first down. Have a lead late in the 4th you want to run it and control the clock. Sure its a passing league and Allen throwing is definitely a focal point of the offense but running the ball will always be needed. -
What if the Bills had scored before halftime?
Greg S replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
KC was/is a better team right now. The Bills had a fantastic season but their is a gap between the Chiefs and Bills that Beane/McDermott must close if the Bills want to beat KC in the playoffs. Even if the Bills scored a TD before half they still would have lost the game. KC outplayed them. Simple as that. -
How can the bills afford Diggs and Allen

Not surprised. We all knew the Cap would go down. -

Curious to see what the salary cap will be next year. The league did take a financial hit this year. -
Was that our easiest playoff loss to take?
Greg S replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think anything playoff loss is easy to take as it puts you into a long offseason. If I had to pick one I would pick Jacksonville a couple of years ago. That Bills team wasn't very good but they got in at 9-7 with some help from the Bengals. I was just happy to see them get in and end the streak. I had no expectations of a playoff run that year. -
Obviously they had a great season and a lot of the talent is in place especially at the most important position. But there are concerns with this roster which have been pointed out by many posters. They need to upgrade the lines on both sides of the ball. Next season they have to have a more balanced offense as they were one dimensional this year. Think of how much more dangerous Allen can be with a running game. Defensively they need to do a better job in rushing the passer. I do think the future is bright with Beane and McDermott though. Hopefully Beane can make the necessary moves to improve this roster to help them take that next step and win a Super Bowl. This offseason with the draft and FA figures to be an interesting one.

Things could get messy in GB--- Rodgers wants a new contract

I still go back to that play inside the 10 where he had an opportunity to run it in. He needs to take his share of responsibility for this loss. -

Rodgers does have one Super Bowl championship with GB. I would sign up for Josh winning one with the Bills. -
I don't see it with Tua. He is accurate but he throws little 3 yard passes so him being accurate isn't that impressive. He doesn't have the arm strength to make all the throws you need to make as an NFL QB. Their is a reason why the Dolphins have been mentioned in talks to acquire Watson. If Tua was someone they truly believed in then they wouldn't entertain the thought of trading for Watson. I know the Bills would laugh at Houston if they called and wanted to trade him for Allen.
-
I am shocked Rodgers didn't try to run it in. One the one play it looked like he had a clear path to the end zone. If he did get stopped it would been inside the 2 yard line.
-
Any team that gives up a 1st must think they could win the SB now. A team like the Jets wouldn't do it since they have many holes to fill on both sides of the ball. They aren't winning or competing for a SB in the near future.
-
He is going nowhere. What team would give up a first and 2nd round pick for a 37 year old QB. Granted Rodgers is a great QB still playing at a very high level but that is a lot to give for him given his age. Rodgers will finish is career in GB.

How does Josh work on his nerves...?

The Browns can throw and run the ball. Buffalo can only do one of those things. -

Allen has been very good during the pressure moments. He has had quite a few 4th quarter comebacks so far in his career. He helped the Bills win two playoff games and was a big reason they went 13-3, won the division, and got to the AFC championship game. KC is a better team than Buffalo. That is the reason they lost not Allen's nerves. -
Bills play at Tampa Bay and KC next season
Greg S replied to Ned Flanders's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wasn't suggesting week 1 Miami and Buffalo. Two teams in the same division with 13 and 10 wins respectively I could see one of their games being in primetime at some point in the season. I like the primetime games for one reason. It means the Bills are good. -

Greg S replied to Ned Flanders's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I predict 5 primetime games for the Bills next season. This year we had 5 and that was coming off a 10-6 season and a WC loss. The Bills usually enjoyed being overlooked and flying under the radar. That won't be the case anymore. 13-3 division champs, Allen has been one of the more exciting players in the game to watch. The Bills also bring in strong ratings which the networks obviously love. If fans are allowed to attend next season get ready to have to get to Bills Stadium on a Monday or Thursday, and a SNF game as well. I could definitely see KC as a primetime game and I also think one will be against the Fish. They are an upcoming team coming off a 10 win season. Showcase a long time AFCE rivalry -
He has been in the league three years now. The first two seasons during normal times with sellout crowds. Going into year 4 playing in front of fans shouldn't be an issue.

The chiefs are 15x better than everyone else
Greg S replied to Teddy KGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was hoping the Raiders would be one of the teams that made the playoffs this year. Maybe its because both teams hate each other being an intense AFCW rivalry but the Raiders match up well with the Chiefs. They usually put up a good fight against them and give them more trouble than most other teams. -
Better not be an issue. When things (hopefully) get back to normal the team will be playing to packed stadiums both at home and on the road. Last night KC showed they are a lot better than the Bills. That is why the Bills lost.
