In all seriousness, tying a competitive advantage to social inequality efforts is just stupid in a league which is supposed to promote a fair arena. This is no less dumb than giving higher picks to teams that donate the most to charity, or whose team has the least amount of players arrested in the offseason. It’s just dumb. Regardless if you think the inequality is an issue or not.

Wow, you’re very sure of things you can’t prove. -

Sure. I know you’re talking hypothetically, so am I. His post June 1st hit next offseason is quite reasonable. Cut or trade. I’m not saying their cap hit will be zero, but it’s affordable. We really are treading water still on this lol. I agree with you that it’s really LaFleur vs Rodgers. And we aren’t there behind closed doors. I think there’s an aspect of belief that Rodgers’ talent at this point in time doesn’t excuse his behavior. 5 years ago, LaFleur may have said “okay Aaron, we’ll do what you want.” But at this point in time, that organization is not playing softball with him anymore. Rodgers is closer to an Alex Smith when the Chiefs got Mahomes. They are gambling on their next QB. We will see what happens. -

You didn’t see the beating they took in the NFCCG, huh? They weren’t tanking. They are paying Rodgers a zillion dollars. They lost some decent FA’s and signed others to replace them. Rodgers cap hit doesn’t make it easy. So are you telling me they should have drafted Roddy and not Rodgers? They can get out of Rodgers contract next offseason. This is going to be his last year in GB. Rodgers’ play has declined, he is an ass to every coach he’s ever had. He’s already clashing with his new coach, who took a 6 win team to a 13 win team. If you are working in GB, it’s easy to see why they are planning an Aaron Rodgers exit strategy. -

Brett Favre was a legend once too. The 2005 Packers drafted Rodgers over Roddy White and the Pack went 4-12. They should have drafted Roddy so they didn't hurt Brett's feelings and send him into retirement or demand a trade! -

Isn’t it? I actually was surprised at the correlation myself. -

Rock and hard place with Rodgers IMO. Don’t extend him and lose him for nothing. Extend him, draft his replacement and move on in a few years. Then they win 6 games and they decide to accelerate the contingency plan. -

Did the Packers throw in the towel when they drafted Rodgers? What are you arguing? That they are tanking now? -

I’m not sure anyone is arguing that taking Jordan Love increases their ability to win a SuperBowl this year. He was a pick for the future. They are hoping they win a Super Bowl in the future with him. It worked for Aaron Rodgers. -

Excellent point. No one will argue this point, but will definitely argue they should have taken a WR anyway to not hurt Rodgers’ feelings. -

Because they cut him when they had the #1 pick. Everyone knew he was being replaced by Luck prior to draft night. -

Converstion maybe, but he won’t win. The history of the league tells us this. It will be the team with the #1 offense. Whether that’s LJ, or Mahomes or Brady. Even 12 wins may not be enough. 10 of the MVP winners in the last 15 years won more than 12 games. -

Sure it’s a bit different. But we all watched Rodgers get spanked by a Super Bowl quality team twice last year. Flat out embarrassed. And he’s on the tail end of his career. The Packers regime today is not the same one from the last 5 years. They have a new HC and their new GM joined last year, when the Packers were terrible. So the Packers are cutting bait one year early rather than one year too late. That’s the NFL. Hell, they walked away from Favre when he still had some ability left, seeing as Brett still played at a high level in Minnesota. The FO you are blaming got fired last year. This is a new FO. Aaron for all his greatness QBed a team that won 6 games the year prior. You are welcome to disagree with their approach, but your way is hardly the only way. -

The “story” is less relevant than you make it seem. Since 2005, the MVP OVERWHELMIGLY is on the team that is basically the best or second best offense in the NFL. Of the 15 winners, Peyton x2 and AP were the only winners who weren’t on teams with arguable #1 offenses. The 4 of the last 5 winners were on the #1 offense in points. The exception was Brady, whose offense was #2 in points and #1 in yards. The 5 prior to that again were 4/5 #1 in points except for AP who put up one of the best seasons in NFL history and dragged his team to the postseason. Even when Shaun Alexander and LT won it, their teams were #1 in points. This Bills team is a long shot for #1 in the NFL in points. We are not going to be lighting teams up, that’s not our team philosophy or personnel or coaching style. For Josh to have a shot at MVP, we would basically have to have the best record in the NFL. Which is possible I guess but again, unlikely. -
Anybody want to go on record about Josh?

Calling Bills fans delusional on a Bills board because of their homer takes gets you attacked. Another shocking conclusion. -

Add Daniel Jones if the Giants won the NFC East convincingly. Really if anyone in that division plays really well and wins the division they have a good shot, IMO.
