  1. Hamlin played much more the Johnson and was a key reason the Bills run defense was terrible in 2022. He was constantly taking bad angles or whiffing. I don’t want to harp on the kid too much because of everything he has gone through but he did not put a lot of good tape out there. Splitting hairs if he was mediocre or bad also does not interest me. I don’t think he’s a starting S at the NFL level. He’s exactly what he has been, a backup late round pick.
  2. 1. I don't think Brandon Beane is finding lots of high-quality starters in rounds 4 or later. 2. BB does do a good job of finding role players and guys who belong on NFL rosters in the later rounds. He is probably above league average in this regard. 3. The problem with finding role players and guys who belong on NFL rosters in the NFL being your greatest skill, is that you have a roster that is filled with role players and not difference makers. IRT players on the active roster drafted 4th or later (not counting UDFA) the Bills have 13 and KC has 13. The Niners have 20. The Bills have Taron Johnson and Shakir (potentially) as impact players. The Chiefs have Trey Smith and Isaiah Pacheco. The Niners have Hufunga, Dre Greenlaw, George Kittle, Brock Purdy. If you are gonna make a living on late round guys, some of them have to hit pretty big.
  3. Hamlin was terrible when he replaced Hyde all season 2 years ago. Rapp is a human missile with poor body control. Spending a second rounder on Bishop and not having him take a starting job immediately is disappointing. By process of elimination, I feel the best about Mike Edwards.
  4. It’s all going as I predicted. An injury away from starting Mack Hollins (lol) as a WR in Josh Allen’s prime. to be fair, I said starting in the playoffs so it looks like I was a little overly optimistic.
  5. Can I keep my victory lap going?
  6. These posts are just delightful.
  7. Hollywood Brown is better than Curtis Samuel.
  8. Prepare to be gaslit that this is a depth problem not a talent problem. ignoring that the argument has been how deep we are for MONTHS lol
  9. I think there’s lots of dudes with crotch rot in NFL locker rooms.
  10. Hollywood would walk in as the #1 outsider WR in Buffalo today.
  11. Araiza managed to not incriminate himself on a tapped phone? Damn this is wild.
  12. Most of the board lost their minds when we picked Allen. What does this tell you?
  13. DE is bad luck WR is bad process, imo.
  14. That’s the real problem. beane has his wires crossed. He spends 2nd and 3rds on RB’s and 5th’s and 6th’s on WRs. He should’ve been doing it the other way around imo.
  15. Correct on all accounts. the Araiza thing sucked. It’s easy to be brave and stand for due process when you don’t have to experience any of the consequences. Ultimately, it was a tough decision to can him and I won’t judge them for it.
  16. It’s actually sad because this is the most pressure we have ever put on Josh to carry an offense since 2018. Which is sad because that’s a sentence that we should have never had to utter. 2019 should have been the bare minimum effort in a receiving group year after year.
  17. The Niners have Kyle Shanahan, Deebo Samuel, Trent Williams, Brandon Aiyuk, Nick Bosa, George Kittle, Fred Warner, Hufunga, Dre Greenlaw. We don’t. I agree that if the Bills had 2 great WR’s, an elite offensive coach, a HoF LT, a top 4 EDGE, two of the best linebackers in the NFL, a top 3 TE, and a really good safety, maybe a backup QB could do some damage on this roster.
  18. I don’t know man. Maybe early we have some success as teams are feeling out Brady. But sooner or later, teams with the horses are gonna get in their grills and test if they can get off the line. Brady will need to be ready with a counterpunch. We have all seen what it looks like when the OC doesn’t have one,
  19. Can we get an update on CJ’s march to a 2k yard season? He’s gotta be getting close.
  20. Man I just do not know what to expect with the WR’s. I guess I’d expect us to be near the lead in the league in bunch sets? It’s hard to imagine lining up both Samuel and Shakir on non-bunches and finding success. I like the idea of lining up in traditional 12 then motioning into a bunch set with Samuel and Kincaid and playing find the LB. Ultimately, this team feels like they need an elite mismatch guy and a creative OC and they can be pretty dangerous. Whether that’s optimistic or damning with faint praise is hard to tell
  21. Rousseau being given more time, even though decisions have to be made about his long term future with the Bills like… now?
  22. Imagine if the Bills and the Chiefs had the best and the second best records in football because they had the top 2 QB’s in football. That stat says more about Josh than Beane, imo.
