  1. You said nothing of what sort? That you "know" we can be better? (talk about an oxymoron) Are you even reading my posts lol. I gotta be honest, continually calling me a "loser" does it make it tough to have a civil conversation. See you back in 15 years when we all agree Josh was great but Mahomes just a little bit more great and the better QB/coach won a lot more because the better QB/coach always wins a lot more as a fact of life in NFL lore. Not a lot of dynasties with lesser QBs and lesser coaches but hey. After Josh stopped giving the football away, we scored two quick TD's and never trailed again.
  2. So kinda like how the Bills stopped turning it over, scored two quick TD’s and ended the game? lol
  3. I think it’s BOTH. I think Mahomes is better than Allen. I think Reid is a lot better than McD. But I think Reid is a lot better than the field in the AFC in general. that’s the thing. I also think BB was a much better coach than Harbaugh or Cowher or Tomlin or Dungy or Caldwell or Kubiak. What I DON’T think is true is that if anyone of those guys got fired in the middle of their QB’s prime, they would have supplanted the Pats dynasty. Won a single game in a single year because of a difference in strategy and shot in the arm? Sure absolutely. Outcoached BB over the course of 10-15 years? Never ever. It’s why I completely agree that firing McD and bringing in a different dude could be a viable strategy to get a single SB. I also think that a lot of those coaches got at least a single ring eventually anyway without being fired because of the fatal flaw that they couldn’t match the best QB/coach in football year after year. I think I had more interest in BB when he got fired than a lot of folks did because if you are actually looking to guarantee to close that gap in coaching for more than a single instance, your best bet would be to hire BB and hope he remains non-senile. Are we not a worthy competitor to the Chiefs? I believe that we have one of the best records against them in the regular season in the last 4 years, right? You could argue the Bengals have a stronger case because of that singular playoff win. But again, that’s one game. i think if you polled NFL fans or media of who has been the biggest rival to the Chiefs in the AFC, the Bills are right up there. The Colts and Pats were a rivalry for much of their QB’s careers when the hardware was very one-sided. Yes, it was. Reid clearly didn’t have the offense ready to play, right? Lol wishing does not make it true. I admire your optimism. I hope you are right. Just like Colts fans hoped they were right and Brady was just lucky and eventually everyone would realize Peyton was far better all along. History doesn’t care lol.
  4. I’ve realized that hyperfixating on one drive in a playoff game we won may have been a silly argument: The Post
  5. It wasn’t actually inconceivable lmao. It’s football bro. Some crappy QB having a single good drive happens literally all the time. EJ won his first start with the best drive of his career. In fact, the Chiefs opened that playoff year trailing the hapless 9-8-1 Steelers 7-0 until 5 minutes left in the second quarter. Sure, they ended up winning but maybe they should have forfeited and maybe we would be Super Bowl champs by now.
  6. Well it happened. Still counts in the W column. Color me shocked that a single drive in a single playoff game that we won has not swayed me to write off our HC lol.
  7. I’m not saying the team should lay down. this may shock you, but I don’t play for or coach the Bills. My thoughts and what the Bills think are two separate entities. I don’t think the Bills should say, “Aw shucks they are just too good” lol. I think Mahomes and Reid are the best coach and QB in the AFC. Do you know why? Because the last AFC QB to win a ring since Mahomes started playing was Tom Brady in 2018. Because Mahomes is, you guessed it, 15-1 in the playoffs against QB’s that aren’t the undisputed best QB in NFL history. Like I said, all this hand-wringing stems from you all wishing we were the next dynasty. We aren’t. You all think if the chips fell differently, Mahomes would be ringless and Allen would’ve been to 4 SB’s and won 3 of them by now. I don’t. Just like Colts fans thought Brady wasn’t better than Peyton and it was all twists of fate that he won a couple before Peyton got there ONCE. Where are all the Colts fans that think Peyton was better than Brady now? They have passed like rain on the mountain. Because Brady was the clear clear clear best. And it’s inarguable now. It will go down in history, inarguably that Allen was elite. A truly dominant QB that I believe will waltz into the Hall of Fame. A QB that was unfortunately playing in a time where he was the second best QB in his conference for much of his career. Just like Peyton. I don’t think that Mahomes and co are unbeatable. I think it will take some luck, some stars aligning to beat them or get past them to win a ring. Just like what happened in Brady’s career. You think Eli proves your point. What’s hilarious is that it really proves mine lol. Omg they allowed a single 68 yard drive in a playoff game up double digits that we ultimately won. Someone pinch me, it’s inconceivable. How could this have happened? We should’ve just forfeited right then and there. Broski…..
  8. Sure man. All the Steelers and Ravens and Colts needed to do was churn HC’s and then Brady doesn’t retire with 7 rings. Whatever you need to tell yourself lol. The back 7 has not really been cheap though. Tre got paid. Poyer and Hyde were cheap initially but then got around market level deals. I doubt we were even near the bottom third in the NFL in back7 spending. I’m torn on this take because I believe that you need stars to win rings, and I also believe that a defensive coach should be able to coach up a lower cost/talent pool to greater heights.
  9. Fortunate like getting a free 18 points off 3 TO’s? Lol. Thanks for making my point. It wasn’t a competitive game without easily avoidable execution errors and sloppy TO’s. Parading Skylar Thompson for his “elite drive” is actually comical. We also ended the game with back to back stops. So by definition, it wasn’t a turtle or a choke at the end. I get it. When the subject is fire the HC, your playoff wins become “almost losses” which invalidate them. But your “almost wins” also don’t count for whatever reason. It does when your argument is “i’d rather him play literally anyone else than the Chiefs in the playoffs”
  10. Just look it up for yourself next time rather than knee-jerking into wrongness. from “nuh uh” to “it doesn’t matter” in a FLASH.
  11. Yes he does. He’s 5-6 in the playoffs. 5-3 vs non-Chiefs. SEE YA
  12. That’s because he has a winning record in the playoffs against teams that are not the Chiefs.
  13. I like McD's odds against the field of the NFC vs the Chiefs again in a big spot lol.
  14. The Jets had that two year stretch with Rex.
  15. Then it wasn't a perfect run, was it?
  16. Eventually. Allen’s best game wasn’t good enough when Mahomes had two HoF targets to throw to. That 2021 team was more talented than the current Chiefs. And from a football history perspective, if we keep getting cracks at them in the playoffs, we will eventually win. Football adages aside, stranger things have happened. You say things have to go perfect, well sometimes they do. Flacco had a near perfect run once. Nick Foles played at a level he should not have been capable of for his SB run. Peyton Manning was a shell of himself and won one. Maybe Mahomes tweaks something and misses the playoffs and the Ravens knock out the Bengals and then we wax Lamar like we always do and get to the Super Bowl. ***** like this happens lol.
  17. Yeah that’s the thing. Imo that’s what is gonna happen. All this hand wringing about the Chiefs losses in the playoffs is silly. Tomlin lost to the Pats, multiple times. Harbaugh lost to the Pats, multiple times. Same with the rest. The best QB’s of that era still got theirs eventually (except Rivers who was the worst of the best, objectively speaking) At what point does winning a game despite 3 turnovers resulting in 18 points become a coaching success vs a coaching failure?
  18. 15-1 15-1 15-1 15-1 Oh no. I have long called that McDermott’s greatest sin and our own personal curse of the Bambino.
  19. They have played and lost to the preeminent dynasty 3/4 runs. Brady and co didn’t make or play in the Super Bowl every year. They were still usually the class of the conference. in 2019, Josh Allen nor the Bills were good enough to make an SB. Hold that against McD if you want but I don’t view that season as a missed opportunity to make a run. Ditto for 17. It’s very funny watching history repeat itself. Folks would argue the Pats and Brady weren’t that good until they were blue in the face. They’d start out 2-2 and folks would call the dynasty over (sounds a lot like the Chiefs last year eh?) Then they’d rattle off a couple more SB runs lol. I’m just ahead of the curve. All the other AFC top tier QB’s are gonna finish their careers with non-stellar playoff records because of Mahomes and Reid. In 15 years, we will all agree that they were beasts in the AFC and an all time NFL dynasty. And that guys like Josh Allen and Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson would’ve had a few more titles between them if they didn’t exist. Just like Peyton and co. would have without the Pats. Its living history of the NFL that you are denying lol.
  20. 15-1 against non-Brady QB’s. I don’t particularly care about his numbers vs Buffalo. He’s the best. He beats everyone. It’s just the truth. I know everyone anointed the Bengals and Burrow as the Chief Killers but they won exactly one playoff game against them and then lost the next year. It’s no different than the Ravens getting a couple against the Pats over their 20 years of dominance. It’s impossible to be perfect v everybody but the Chiefs, like the Pats before them, are about as close as you can get. We have lost to the guy who beats everyone in the playoffs 3 out of the last 4 trips. All the divisional trip critique is Bills fans upset we aren’t the preeminent dynasty. We don’t have the best coach in football or the best QB in football. Neither did Haurbaugh with Lamar or Flacco before him. Neither did Cowher or Tomlin with Big Ben. Neither did Payton with Brees. Neither did Dungy or Fox or Kubiak with Peyton. They all eventually won one or multiple, but also had their own fair share of playoff defeats at the hands of the Evil Empire. Just like we do currently. I didn’t say anything about being happy. It’s just reality, which folks fail to accept. Weird take.
  21. Rivers and Brees both mostly played under Marty? What? Brees played for 4 years with Marty of his 20 year career. Rivers started exactly one year with Marty. Rodgers played 4 seasons with LaFleur and was drafted in 2005 lol. It really is just Kansas City. 15-1 in the playoffs against QB’s not named Brady. I know this reality is tough to accept because Bills fans thought they were the new Pats. We aren’t. That dream is dead. We are gonna have to scratch and claw and get lucky to get past them in the postseason, just like the Ravens, Texans and Bengals will have to do too. Most of these teams will fail to do so, and most already have.
  22. This is why this argument is so funny. We have the second best QB in football. We aren’t gonna get that 15-3 record. Mahomes already has it, and has some of those wins by beating us lol. Big Ben is 13-10 in the playoffs. Peyton Manning is 14-13. Rivers 5-7. Drew Brees 9-9. Rodgers is 11-10. It’s not because every single one of their coaches was a failure fraud loser lol. It’s because when the best coach and best QB get together, they beat EVERYONE.
  23. Oh sure. If you go for it and don’t get it, you have to make a stop and score a TD. If you kick a FG, you have to make a stop and score a TD. Come on bro.
  24. Team led by HoF QB doesn’t show up in the AFCCG against a far inferior QB, gets mortified and blown out. Check. coming off a bye in the divisional round, team again doesn’t show up, offense scores 10 points and loses to that same inferior QB. Check. Kicks a FG down 8 from the opponents 8 yard line with 2 minutes left, playing against another HoF QB. A truly horrific and indefensible coaching decision. Check. And hey, you’re entitled to that opinion. I just think you’re wrong. And if I have to annihilate 1000 LaFleur’s to prove it, I will!
  25. I don’t think he’s great. I think you think the delta between McD and a league average coach is approaching zero or even negative. I think it’s positive. You have a far higher opinion of “insert random NFL coach” than is warranted. Imo.
