  1. I think he probably is with the right talent, just like Daboll was.
  2. Completely willing to give Von a pass due to the injury. What's not acceptable is that the coaching staff, either Washington or McDermott, keeps thinking it's a good idea to trot him out there week after week so he can do less than nothing. Rehab is done on the sidelines, not in the game. He's had multiple games to ramp up, it hasn't happened, that's okay. Injuries are what they are. It's not okay to put your head in the sand and put out ineffective players on your defense.
  3. He's a classic example of "good coordinator who can't cut it at HC". His ceiling is coordinator, and honestly that's fine.
  4. McDermott thought Nate Peterman was not only a rosterable QB, but starting caliber. So I would say luck definitely has something to do with finding our way to Allen.
  5. Maybe Cook should have gotten more looks as a pass catching RB over the last 1.5 seasons. Beane and crew talks the talk but until Brady took over Dorsey never used RBs in the passing game.
  6. Sounds like we are on the same page. I do think part of the problem is trusting Gabe with option routes at all, because he and Allen clearly haven't been on the same page all season.
  7. McDermott is awesome at stacking moral victories. Actual victories this season? Not so much.
  8. I'd put a lot of money on that being Gabe's fault. If you're 1-on-1 with no safety help and you're the only deep man you should always break inside, so you don't have to contend with the sidelines.
  9. Bigger markets always get the calls, and personal bias comes into play HARD when it comes to refereeing. The Bills likely have a reputation as undisciplined and they are being treated as such, unfairly so. Combine that with characters like Phillips, Dawkins, even Allen and you can see that they’ve made up their mind about penalties before the flags are even thrown. It’s the same problems with police and any other position of authority. Subjectivity and bias is going to make a huge difference in your perception of how to enforce the rules.
  10. I’m losing it over seeing jabronis say the offense needs to do more after this loss. An absolutely brain dead take. Brady has gotten the offense humming. Allen looked like a superstar again out there. He was by far the best player on the field, and McDermott and the defense failed yet again. This has to be so draining on Diggs, Allen and Cook. Cook was once again the scapegoat getting punished to the extreme for dropping a ball in the rain. Meanwhile Von Miller is taking snaps away from players who can actually do their job. So frustrating.
  11. I couldn’t care less about investing in the defense at this point. We’ve already replaced White with Douglas who is arguably just as good. Go all in on offense and watch this team shine.
  12. If we can’t rely on our defense to close out a win, then what’s the point of having a defensive HC? Allen has another incredible game that’s just wasted. Dorsey was only part of the problem it seems.
  13. That would have minimized the suffering at least…
  14. McDermott won’t quit it until every team in the NFL has an “instant classic” win against the Bills. It’s incredible how consistent he is at losing in big moments. 0-6 in OT, by luck alone we should have won at least 1. We are consistently defying statistics and losing games that nobody has ever been dumb enough to lose before. It’s incredible if you aren’t a Bills fan.
  15. There’s about 10 tapes of him losing in similar ways. I think the tape is out there.
  16. I feel like I need to have a grief counselor on retainer in order to watch the Bills this season. Holy god is it soul crushing. How many times do we need the same song and dance from McDermott when the pressure is on. He’s whatever the opposite of clutch is. You could fire him tonight and I wouldn't blink. I’ve never seen a winning HC beg to be fired so badly as McDermott. Literally the same mistakes week in and week out. And the kneel with 20 seconds left!? WHAT?! You’re the coach who lost to 13 seconds. You’ve seen what a confident team can do, and you chicken out. That in itself should be fireable.
  17. I mean, the Eagles lost to the Jets in a very similar way to how we did in week 1 and the Chiefs should have lost to the Jets. 30 PPG will win you most games in the NFL, regardless of opponent. That doesn't have to be the case in these upcoming games but I'd feel pretty comfortable betting the Bills if you told me they were going to score 32 points.
  18. Moss had maybe the worst vision I've ever seen a RB have. He's clearly improved a lot. Singletary seems pretty much the same? Just more opportunities given the offense.
  19. If they play like they did yesterday and get 30+ PPG they'll likely win at least 1 of the 2, if not both. Certainly not a sure thing but I have a cautious amount of confidence that Brady is going to get more out of Allen for the rest of the season.
  20. 32 points with an OC who had ~6 days to prepare and call his first game for the team against a top 3 defense. The whole team just looked more in sync and Allen looked more alive.
  21. Pretty wild turnaround considering what Allen and the Bills looked like last week. Was it all Dorsey? Did Josh need a wake up call? Can't say for sure, but it seems pretty safe to say that moving on from Dorsey was the best decision. The tablets are safer, anyway.
  22. Shakir is considerably faster than Davis, at least in game speed. I think Knox is still a great RZ target, but Kincaid should get the majority of looks on the field. It will be good to move on from the 6 O-Lineman Jumbo package and back to 12 when we're close to the goal line.
  23. I heard on WGR, from Sal maybe, that Harris was contemplating retiring after that neck injury.
  24. Agreed. There was a lot of rumbling in the fanbase that Dorsey should have been shown the door in the off-season, and rumors that it was part of what Diggs was so frustrated with before training camp. I think it’d be better to move on from McDermott, if only because I don’t see him radically shifting philosophy to make Allen and the offense the focus, and his game day blunders are pretty damning.
  25. You go 7-0 or 6-1 in the stretch here and I’ll hear you out.
