  1. So every coach in the league played in the league (hint: they haven’t)? And you’re right, he never actually played in the league but did have stints with several teams-Seahawks, Steelers, and Saints Once again, knowledge and talent to do it are not the same thing.
  2. What does playing at OSU have anything to do with coaching NFL QBs? Knowledge of how to do/coach something is different from having the talent to do it. The guy played in the league, he understands what to do
  3. This is a really bad take….im guessing you’re a Michigan fan?
  4. We all love Josh but let’s be honest, him and Mahomes are on equal ground when it comes to embellishing some of these hits. I do hope they are watching the grabbing by CBs during the game though
  5. I appreciate your giddy optimism, but it’s not happening. By you thinking he will means you’re either blinded by this optimism or you just didn’t pay attention when he signed. It’s not a wasted spot, he’s doing the exact thing he was brought in for
  6. He might feel bad about the season, but he doesn’t feel “empty” by his coordinators taking head coaching jobs. Why would he?
  7. They have shown plenty of times this season a “killer instinct” even as recently as Denver. One game doesn’t worry me too much
  8. What do you mean handle it this way? How should they have handled it? I get it, you love how the guy plays, we all do…but at this point with his injuries clearly he is much more valuable for his mind than what he can actually do on the field
  9. This has been said since literally the first day he came back, why are people still surprised about this?
  10. So it means that Jackson and Clapp have a chance of playing tomorrow while Spector definitely isn’t
  11. I sure hope this comment is tongue in cheek You know who else is planning potential parades right now? Buffalo, Philadelphia, and Washington
  12. I have to assume that’s probably a standard price for a beer around the league. I went to a Phillies game last summer and they were charging $16 a beer, I saw a beer at a Dodgers game this year will be $35. It’s certainly not cheap to go to a sporting event any more
  13. So just to play devil’s advocate, would we not think the same way if the Bills were in the same position? Even now, we get offended when someone doesn’t think Josh is the best QB in the league. I think it would be easy to say “no, we wouldn’t be like that” but I think if the Bills had won 3 of the last 4 super bowls and had just gone 15-2 (with really only 1 loss) there would be a lot of us thinking the same way. That being said, it’s going to be a lot of fun watching them come back to earth on Sunday
  14. Is Watson a former pro bowler that I don’t know about? I keep reading about him in this thread and that Josh needs to avoid him. Honestly asking, am I missing something? Or is it just that he was the starter, got injured, then came back?
  15. I think I saw a stat that said Mahomes has actually not done well against the blitz for a while now. That being said, the Bills can't blitz someone like Hamlin, who seems to get blocked every time he blitzes. So if they do blitz, they have to get home.
  16. Perhaps if the Bills had turned the ball over in those games I might agree with you, but I don't think these games made them change anything. Yes the defense did not do well, but I honestly don't think they changed much up in terms of "ball control" philosophy
  17. Even with those 2 in the lineup it's not like they have been a juggernaut on offense. They can be stopped for sure
  18. makes sense - he knows Brady from both Michigan and Tampa Bay, he has Brady's trust, now he gets an opportunity to prove himself
  19. So after reading this response, I believe that we are looking at things from 2 different directions. I was looking at it as a league driven problem, which clearly I don't think it is. You're looking at it from an outsider influence problem, which I will certainly agree that can be an issue. With the amount of money that's being bet, it is certainly plausible that an outside influence can get to a ref (for example) to try and influence plays and games in a "favorable" way. We saw it happen in the NBA with that ref several years ago, and I wouldn't be surprised if at the very least there have been NFL refs who have explored that route.
  20. Ok so then 2 questions-who is this one person? Is it 1 ref each game who does this? Someone from the NFL office? Also, why KC? If it’s a greed/money thing why wouldn’t someone choose Dallas/Chicago/either NY team/LA (you get the point) a bigger market team that would make a lot more money for someone? And before you mention Taylor Swift, people were calling conspiracy before her and Kelce started dating
  21. Here’s the thing with all of these conspiracy theories. You would need all 32 teams in on the conspiracy. So 31 out of 32 teams would have to sign off on not winning the Super Bowl. 15 AFC teams would have to be fine with never even going to the Super Bowl. The amount of people who would know and never go public with the information would be huge. But sure, there’s a huge conspiracy just to get the Chiefs there
  22. I would love to be up enough late in the 4th where he doesn’t have to use his legs. He’s a weapon though, can’t gameplan to not use him
  23. Not sure the irony part, but Brady is a HUGE fan of Josh so yes, I would love to hear Brady call the game with Josh involved
  24. I’m sorry I’m still confused-do you think there are guys who are taking this too seriously or not seriously enough?
  25. I have to ask-is there are part of you that actually thinks the players don’t know what they are playing for this week?
