Does Allen hold some accountability for personnel decisions?
Ya Digg? replied to Johnnyp566's topic in The Stadium Wall
No, he’s just the QB. Of course he’s going to give his input, why wouldn’t he? I’ve said this a 1,000 times before and I’ll say it again-Beane is also paid millions of dollars a year to make these decisions. Personnel falls on the front office and the coaches. Josh didn’t sit in a meeting with Beane and say “you better pay Dawson $12 million a year or I’m out”- 39 replies

The mental hoops some of you guys jump through to make Diggs sound like a malcontent, miserable, diva, etc is quite alarming. He’s said lots of times that Josh is his QB, he wants to win here, everything you guys want…you sound like a kid talking about his girlfriend in high school “yeah but she hasn’t said she loves me since last week, I think she’s cheating on me with some other guy 😭😭😭😭” next thing you know people are going to be breaking down the pauses he takes when he speaks, the inflection he uses-it’s getting out of control

Has Diggs himself ever come out and said anything?? NO Why some of you want to drive the Bills best player out of town is amazing to me. To say that he needs to grow the F up or call him a drama queen is the message board equivalent of a 3 year old throwing a temper tantrum

Why do you have such glowing confidence in the other teams and have no confidence in the Bills?
-
Just wondering, why do you not think the dolphins are pretenders? Is it because of the threat of scoring?

Bills vs Broncos-Monday Night Football

We live in such a weird world-everyone on here is allowed to talk about the money these players make. However, because it’s so much money the players get criticized any time they talk about money, as if it’s supposed to be this taboo thing now that they have it -

Yeah it’s weird that I’m looking at the team I root for optimistically. You see the warts the Bills have, we all do, and there’s nothing wrong with that. The problem I have with what you’re saying is that it doesn’t look like you see warts on the other teams. You’re part of this weird subgroup around here that thinks the Bills can do nothing right and the other teams can do no wrong. The AFC games I watched today, I didn’t see anything that makes me go “the Bills can’t beat those guys.” I’m not sure you do -

Alright genius, so the Texans, who lost to the Panthers (their only win this year btw), falcons, and colts are light years ahead and running circles around the Bills like they are nothing. And the Browns….the browns? You mention cap issues for the Bills but completely ignore by far the worst contract in NFL history that will keep the Browns in cap hell for a while. It’s fine, just take the L on this one-you can admit you overreacted, everyone can see that already -
So then what’s your point? Did you want the Bills to keep him? Which would’ve meant paying millions for a “replacement level” player

Holy crap is this an extreme amount of hyperbole. Lap the Bills? Light years ahead? I get it, you love doom and gloom, but breathe, take a Xanax, go for a walk…it’ll be ok -

Singletary??? The guy had like 200 yards rushing the entire season 🤦♂️ -
This take is a little too much “get off my lawn” for me. Brady taunted guys until the day he retired, did he still have learning to do? Everyone is down in the team so everyone is looking for things they can nitpick about them. im fine with it because he’s on the Bills, probably would’ve been really bothered by it if I wasn’t a Bills fan 🤷♂️

Absolutely not. He’s had some good games, but Stroud doesn’t have Josh’s ability. Give coaches the rest of the season and then an off-season to figure him out. Not saying Stroud won’t be good, but you’re making a comparison for a guy who has played 9 games -

What you’re describing is pretty much every team with a top QB salary in terms of free agents. If you looked at Most of not all of the teams with a top ten paid QB they are dealing with the same issues or will be VERY shortly -

So why does Tyreek never get called for his peace sign he constantly flashes? -
Has he ever said that he wants a coaching job?
-
They mentioned during the game how Kincaid dropped a ball because it was thrown so hard and how Gabe Davis gets bruised hands because of Josh’s throws
-
It’s not-watched the game, know what I’m looking for. Watch his effort on the TE touchdown, there was no effort. He was beaten BADLY by Chase on that deep ball, got lucky it was severely under thrown. Was completely turned around by Boyd on the ball at the goal line that Boyd dropped. Again, this game was the final straw for me, it wasn’t just this game. He’s good enough for a backup role, but shouldn’t be playing as many snaps as he does because he gets exposed. Like I said in my OP, good thing Douglas is here to take his starting spot
-
Never said he was the problem, there’s plenty of threads talking about the offense. If you’re watching him play and don’t think he’s a constant liability then you haven’t been watching at all this season
-
Mine complaint is probably more of a compilation of his play over the course of the season, and maybe I was just looking for that one final thing to put me over the edge. I thought he got lucky on the plays he did break up, and I feel he is the king of always being right there when the receiver is catching it Johnson has also played quite poorly. Obviously it’s all linked-the def line isn’t generating as much pressure which makes the corners jobs even harder
-
I said in a later post I know he wasn’t initially guarding the TE, but his effort to try and tackle him was really poor I get it, Jackson has his fans…I’m just not one of them any more. At least not a fan of him being a starter and getting most of the snaps. He’s fine as a backup, but in my mind he’s been exposed as a starter
-
If I'm off the clue me on to plays he made last night
-
Watch him on the Sample TD. No it's not his guy - he is initially covering Chase, then peals off once he sees the pass go to Sample. He puts in such little effort to get to Sample (and Rapp makes a terrible attempt at a tackle) then gives up completely.
-
If he was, then the defense played worse than I thought. He was terrible. Again, the one play he made last night he was beaten badly by Chase and did not skillfully break up that play, he got flat out lucky.
