Von Miller IG story about Beane trading up for a WR
Ya Digg? replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was gonna say pretty much the same thing-people used to put on their sundays best just to go see a movie because they had nothing to do -
But he’s not an unrosterable guy. What losses are you cutting? Doesn’t look like he’s a starter but he’s fine for depth. I would much rather have him in the game than Cam Lewis
-
Exactly-Josh had been in the league 6 years now, and all we have ever heard is what a good leader he is. You would think if he wasn’t someone would’ve said something at some point over the last 6 years. I have said it 1,000 times on here and will continue to say it-SCREAMING AT YOUR TEAMMATES IN FRONT OF THE CAMERAS DURING A GAME DOES NOT MAKE SOMEONE A GOOD LEADER
-
But what are you getting for him? Don’t trade him just to get anything, that’s ludicrous. He’s on a rookie deal at a position of need-that being said he was on the bench, he was inactive, and he was on IR last year…so what could they possibly get for him? His trade value has never been lower and will never be lower
-
Keenan Allen was traded for a 4th round pick-no way is Burks worth the same. I would be very upset if they traded a 4th for him
-
interesting WR scenario posed by a friend

Giving up a first round pick for a second round pick is NOT a good idea. You’re giving up a first rounder for a guy who is definitively a second round player. Has a team ever given up a first round for a second round? I like the rest of it, but you lost me at the trade (also not completely sold on Aiyuk) -
Oh buddy, you were doing so well too. I didn’t agree with you but at least it seemed like you had some thought and logic behind your earlier posts. Then you go and say this, and now you’ve lost
-
So DeCosta is an interesting name you bring up. I feel people around here generally see him as a good GM, but he’s had a lot of misses on draft picks. They have been throwing draft pick after draft pick at wide receivers in the first three rounds ever since they drafted Lamar-have any of them been a huge hit?
-
This is 100% the dumbest thing I’ve heard since the trade was announced
-
I don’t care about impressive wins-you know who didn’t have a whole lot of impressive wins last year (and even the year before that)? The Chiefs. All that matters is they win the games
-
So the problem obviously is the Bills will have to pay him right away, and my guess would be Diggs current deal is the floor of what that deal would be. Personally I don’t know much about the guy-can he separate, can he make catches in traffic, I have read that he is a good YAC guy, but is that because of the system he was in? I also don’t want the Bills giving up their first round pick. If the 49ers came to the Bills with an offer they should listen, I’m not convinced the Bills should be calling them though
-
Sorry I’m confused-you would trade the Bills first round pick next year to get into the 2nd round this year? That idea seems very flawed
-
Wait hold on-Diggs has been quiet in the playoffs???? How has no one ever mentioned this before?!?!?!
-
I don’t buy this at all. You are giving Diggs way too much credit over Josh’s leadership abilities. I don’t believe Diggs had that much influence on how Josh led the team. I also don’t get this obsession of needing to see Josh be “vocal” on the sidelines, as if that somehow makes him a better leader. Good leaders don’t need to scream at their teammates on the sidelines. We also have no idea what Josh does in terms of leadership the other 6 days a week. Players love playing for him, they all say he’s a great leader, and this has absolutely been Josh’s team the last several years. The “no one left to challenge him” line is just nonsense
-
No matter what you think of Diggs the person, objectively can anyone say the team is a better TEAM today than yesterday? I don't think anyone reasonably can say that. It's April, there's going to be moves made, let's see how the team looks in July/August/September Also.....guess it's time I change my screen name
-
Oh I definitely agree with that. He certainly could be supplanted by the end of the year. I just don’t think the Texans are ready to make Dell the definitive #2 yet, especially coming off his injury
-
You’re gonna be that guy?
-
He’s above Dell so he’s the 2, honestly probably closer to a 1B to Collins 1A
-
But again that’s your perception of what he is saying. You have made no mistake about it, you want him gone-that’s fine, that’s your opinion, don’t have a problem with it. But are you reading too much into it? I like Diggs, I think he’s a good teammate, i don’t really care what he says on Twitter, and I read it more as someone was taking a shot at him not being elite any more, not a shot at Josh. That’s where the line is though. For those of you who want him gone, you’re looking for those types of things and perceived slights. At least from my POV it doesn’t seem like the team or Josh are really taking anything he says on Twitter seriously
-
The irony of some on here overreacting to Diggs tweets, calling him soft and a diva….because of his tweets
-
So then say the facts-his playoff victories are against the Colts, Ravens, Patriots, Dolphins, and Steelers. He didn’t play one down against any of those guys
-
So just to counter that, is it better to take the 4th best WR or the 5th best QB? Taking the 5th best QB could set back a franchise even more. Taking the WR probably is setting up Denver to draft early next year and they could end up with a much better prospect
-
Sorry but you lost me once you mentioned Herbert. The guy is talented but Lamar has done so much more than Herbert has at this point
