But there’s also something to be said about stopping drives when they need to stop drives or scoring touchdowns when a touchdown is needed. You can’t tell me that they have won 14 games and 8 in a row without coming up with crucial stops or scoring when it is needed

'22 draft class is really rounding into form

I actually really like that Josh went to Shakir on the first ply of the game-help settle some nerves. I have to admit I’m not as sold on Shakir as many others on here are, that drop on the bomb was really bad. That being said that third down catch was incredible! The inconsistency bothers me, hoping it’s not another Davis situation *yes I do like Davis, but as we all have seen with him being elevated to a more important role he has struggled…hoping if Shakir gets elevated next year to a more important role he doesn’t struggle as much -
7 points from a fumble, so we are down to 24. 1 touchdown drive started on the Bills 18, 2 field goal drives for them started on the Bills side of the field (one already in field goal range), the other field goal drive started at the 40…so yes, I still think the defense played well

They’re also down 3 (now maybe 4) linemen. This amazing offense only scored 17 last night, so they can certainly be stopped, I’m not saying they won’t put up 35, but they didn’t against worse defenses. I think they’re going to have to run a pretty quick hit offense and will have difficulty running the ball (as they have all year) which plays right into the Bills hands
-
If you mean hold the opposing offense to 250 yards, get 350 yards passing (should’ve been over 400 if Shakir doesn’t drop that bomb) and most importantly score more points than the other team, then YES

The fact that you’re against something I said let’s me know what I’m saying is correct

Cool-how does what happened today impact next week? Different game, different team
-
Who cares about next week-this weeks game has nothing to do with next week. If you believe it does you’re mistaken
-
It’s the playoffs, all of the teams are good. Some on here are so concerned about how the in looks they don’t care that there was a win. Even thinking back to the Pittsburgh game, there were some in here complaining about what happened during the game. let’s be clear, criticism is fine, but the whole “they won’t win next week” for a team that is 14-3 makes you look ridiculous. The defense played really well, the offense scored 34 even with 3 turnovers…there are positives from this game. This isn’t college football, you don’t get picked for games based on how much you can win by-it’s the playoffs, win and move on. I don’t care if they are the worst looking 3 loss Super Bowl winning team in history as long as they keep winning. We have become so spoiled that some have “white men can’t jump” syndrome-would rather look good but lose rather than look bad but win *and now I’m off my soapbox

The pessimism thread - That game didn’t go as planned

Waddle had a 30+, who else? I can think of Hill and then the running back…when did the other drops happen? -

They dropped 3 balls, relax. One was a big play the others would’ve gotten them 5-8 yards maybe -
That being said, it’s pretty incredible to take away a game ball from a guy who threw for 320+ (should’ve had 50 more yards on that pass to Shakir) and 3 touchdowns

Stop with this dumb s%*+. They won, that’s all that matters. Some of you need to let games actually be played before you start whining and pouting about the following week -
Chargers - Mike Williams and Joey Bosa hurt in meaningless game
Ya Digg? replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just picture the chargers broncos games next year with Benny Hill music and Peyton sprinting from sideline to sideline -
Yesterday was the first time I have watched him play, and I just was not impressed. No zip on his passes, and if the guy wasn’t wide open he couldn’t complete a pass to him. He also panicked several times as he was scrambling around, giving him virtually no shot to make a play. I’m not sure if this happens every game or if he was just off, but he just seemed very meh to me. That being said, his scrambling did lead to a couple of touchdowns and he had several completions when his guys were wide open. Can he bring the team back when they are down 10+ points? To me that’s the question

Lawrence isn’t there yet-I would put him in the same tier as Herbert, but not with those other 3. There’s basically a tier 1 then a tier 3, there’s no tier 2 -

I was gonna say Jeff George 2.0 -

This knocks Herbert down some spots in the great QB debate. He is not the guy -
I agree-this is the first time I got to watch Purdy and he did not impress me at all. If the guy wasn’t wide open (which to be fair guys were wide open a lot) I definitely saw a rookie who panics. Can move some with his feet but throws a lazy ball
