    no, but they’re 9-3 this year and that’s all that counts. Redzone efficiency and third down efficiency are far, far more important than whether you simply threw for 300 yards. Did you have to throw 50 times? We’re all your yards between the 20’s? Those are the important factors.

    Don’t think it’s anti-300 yards in and of itself. It’s those who think 300 yards in and of itself means something, it doesn’t. It’s a meaningless figure. Need to look ay many factors, RZ effectiveness, third down completions that lead to first downs etc... the point being made is that many of those QBs throwing for 300 yards are losing games.

    Overall I like Darnold too, but let’s face it-Darnold can’t make the athletic plays Josh makes. He wouldn’t have been nearly as successful as Josh.

    Excellent point. That’s why stats in a vacuum are useless. Look at total TD’s to get an accurate picture. The object is to cross the gasoline by whatever means.

    They’re already out of the Playoff race. They would need to run the table just to get to 10 wins and that isn’t happening.

    I’m surprised more people don’t realize this. What you did last week generally has little impact on what happens this week. Different matchups and just the way the ball bounces. How do you explain the Cowboys losing to the Jets and then destroying the Eagles? Chiefs look like world beaters and then lose 2 straight at home. As they say, it’s tough winning in this league.

    I’m not sure anyone posted this yet, but not only is Josh one of the highest rated QB’s in the 4th quarter (money time), but he is extremely effective in the red zone and has a 111 rating which second in the league. Again, I’ll take a QB who performs when the game is on the line every time. The kid knows how to win.

    Agreed. Need to know 3rd down completion rate that keeps drives alive and 4th quarter percentage when game is on the line. I’ve seen many “high” percentage passers and losing teams.

    I’m more concerned about 4th quarter play when the game is on the line. Most NFL games are decided in the 4th quarter. Let me know who produces in crunch time.

    Agreed. Always thought this was a useless stat. You can make throws to get to the one yard line and then run it in. It’s all about how you finish when down there.
