  1. Man, you can’t waste a decent Mayfield throw like that. They’re hard to come by.
  2. What are your thoughts today?
  3. When you watch the Duke TD catch you do realize what a great play design it was. Without sucking the LBs in on the run fake there’s no way you get that pass to Duke.
  4. And many lose with bad defenses. Who cares? You play the games to win.
  5. Who cares! We made the plays when they counted and they didn’t. Most games come down to the 4th quarter and the Bills have found a way to make plays.
  6. And yet we won. Who would have thought?
  7. There are certainly some great scouts on this board.
  8. Why were you unimpressed? He made probably the best 2 catches in the preseason.
  9. Then I misunderstood because I thought he did none of those things.
  10. If he didn’t practice at all, how did he get last step 4 which requires a practice.
  11. This is a bizarre take. You play your best otherwise healthy players, period. If he’s cleared as healthy he plays. Same for Singletary or anyone else.
  12. Just a theory, but I remember Beane stating in an August article that WR speed wasn’t that important in bad weather and that he preferred bigger bodies who can make catches in tough weather conditions. Could it be that Sunday’s weather forecast of rain is playing into this decision?
  13. Agreed. But I believe the league rules state that you can’t comment on someone who is technically in the protocol.
  14. I really don’t understand the “almost” cleared view of a few on here. You’re either completely cleared or you’re not. It’s like the old joke of “almost” pregnant. If he’s cleared, that means he’s fine to play. If he’s not cleared he’s not fine to play.
  15. Looked like he was throwing it away. Unreal catch.
  16. Exactly. You’re either in or out of protocol. He’s going to start Sunday.
  17. He was taking the equivalent of first team reps today. Unless he has some sort of setback he’s playing.
  18. Agreed it’s the same playbook, but you will probably use it differently based upon the QB’s strengths and weaknesses.
  19. The difference is your defense has to play a lot different if Allen plays vs Barkley. Most teams keep a spy on Allen and won’t against Barkley so it does make a significant difference.
  20. Exactly, the team can always make the decision to play or not play someone even if the protocol has been met.
  21. Actually all his passes are check downs. The announcers even mentioned his average pass goes about 3yards in the air.
  22. Interesting comment by McDermott on Jones lack of effort. https://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/2019/09/zay-jones-shouldve-become-a-defender-on-josh-allen-int-bills-sean-mcdermott-says.html
  23. That may be what the officials yesterday were looked at but they would be incorrect. If you stop your route right in front of the defender, causing the defender to go around, it is PI. Otherwise you are telling DB’s to make sure if a receiver stops immediately in front of you to make sure you contact him to get the call. That certainly isn’t the point tent of the rule.
  24. Wrong. Any act that hinders the defender. There doesn’t need to be contact.
