  1. I’m not sure anyone posted this yet, but not only is Josh one of the highest rated QB’s in the 4th quarter (money time), but he is extremely effective in the red zone and has a 111 rating which second in the league. Again, I’ll take a QB who performs when the game is on the line every time. The kid knows how to win.
  2. Agreed. Need to know 3rd down completion rate that keeps drives alive and 4th quarter percentage when game is on the line. I’ve seen many “high” percentage passers and losing teams.
  3. I’m more concerned about 4th quarter play when the game is on the line. Most NFL games are decided in the 4th quarter. Let me know who produces in crunch time.
  4. Agreed. Always thought this was a useless stat. You can make throws to get to the one yard line and then run it in. It’s all about how you finish when down there.
  5. Interesting that none of the other receivers, including Duke, have any problems catching passes from Allen.
  6. I linked the wrong article. This is the one from this week. https://clutchpoints.com/browns-news-freddie-kitchens-explains-2nd-half-benching-of-baker-mayfield/
  7. I would say he was “benched” as that term is commonly used. Even pro Browns sites are using that term. https://dawgpounddaily.com/2018/10/29/bench-baker-mayfield-for-his-own-protection/
  8. Which now shows you how silly their biases are.
  9. There was a study done (isn’t there one for everything?) a couple of weeks ago that showed Mayfield led the league in leaving the pocket early.
  10. No they’re not. Allen’s percentage is about 8% higher as his his QB rating. Add in Allen’s rushing and TD’s by ground it’s not close. Allen looks like the much better player.
  11. Man, you can’t waste a decent Mayfield throw like that. They’re hard to come by.
  12. When you watch the Duke TD catch you do realize what a great play design it was. Without sucking the LBs in on the run fake there’s no way you get that pass to Duke.
  13. And many lose with bad defenses. Who cares? You play the games to win.
  14. Who cares! We made the plays when they counted and they didn’t. Most games come down to the 4th quarter and the Bills have found a way to make plays.
  15. And yet we won. Who would have thought?
  16. There are certainly some great scouts on this board.
  17. Why were you unimpressed? He made probably the best 2 catches in the preseason.
  18. Then I misunderstood because I thought he did none of those things.
  19. If he didn’t practice at all, how did he get last step 4 which requires a practice.
  20. This is a bizarre take. You play your best otherwise healthy players, period. If he’s cleared as healthy he plays. Same for Singletary or anyone else.
  21. Just a theory, but I remember Beane stating in an August article that WR speed wasn’t that important in bad weather and that he preferred bigger bodies who can make catches in tough weather conditions. Could it be that Sunday’s weather forecast of rain is playing into this decision?
  22. Agreed. But I believe the league rules state that you can’t comment on someone who is technically in the protocol.
