  1. Agreed. He’ll be a 3rd down option for swing and screen passes.
  2. Rookie QB’s rarely play on a team that has success leading to a playoff run. A couple reasons is that they are rookies and teams that start rookie QB’s are generally weak (which is why they start a rookie QB). Jones to me looks like an immobile QB with at best an average arm. If he is playing the majority of snaps I will make a guess of no more than 7 wins. This is based upon other first year QB starters records.
  3. If that. They’ll probably average around 16 points per game with that offense.
  4. Understood. I think there is a lot that goes into those numbers, such as how many snaps the player gets and whose playing in front of him. I imagine most of those listed didn’t get the majority of snaps their first year thus contributing to limited number of sacks. Since our leading sacker last year only had 5 sacks if Rousseau gets 4-5 sacks he’ll look like a steal.
  5. That’s an interesting discussion because for kicks and giggles I just looked up this past years sack leaders and the majority of the top 10 DE sack leaders were in fact drafted beyond pick # 25. I’m not sure what stats Capaccio is referring to when he makes his claim.
  6. I think Joe may need a new watch. But to your point, he is very fast. Just blowing by DBs like they’re standing still.
  7. Agreed. How many times have you seen a DE just miss getting a sack because the QB was able elude the rush. What I’ve noticed about his tape is that his length allows him to get sacks others wouldn’t get.
  8. The stats back up that the RBs weren’t the problem with the run game. Singletary and Moss were both in the top 10 in the league for yards after contact.
  9. I give it an A based upon where they were drafting. It’s easy to draft well when you’re drafting 1 or 2, but when you’re at the back end you really have to think it through. They had a plan and stuck with it.
  10. Well, the most important factors in the NFL are your offensive passing game and stopping the opponents passing game. The Bills already have the offensive side down and now are shoring up the defensive side. Makes sense.
  11. He’s not in the same universe as Josh. Not much of an athlete and needs all day protection. He’s not at Alabama anymore.
  12. The NFL isn’t Alabama. We’ve seen Tua in the NFL.
  13. Yes, just mentioned that Wilson looks like he’s 12 years old.
  14. Completely agree. Some act as if every teams board is the same. The boards are going to be different for a variety of reasons as stated. There will be someone available at 30 for Beane who may be 20 on his board but 35 on another team’s. I really think he stays at 30.
  15. Great video. Particularly liked at the end when he said “thank you it was wonderful to have you”. Seems like a very neat young man.
  16. True that no one is perfect, but Beane is the best in the business, as voted on by his peers.
  17. Some really stupid football being played. Why would the returner not use up the 5 seconds.
