Didn’t know Daboll was responsible for the offensive linemen becoming turnstiles, or for the QB regressing back to his rookie year.
-
I think this statement may have led to today’s defeat

Ah yes the jinx theory. Thanks? -
What did you ever see from Sweeney that made you think he’d ever be anything but a below replacement-level player?

This day needs to be our "We're on to Cincinnati moment"

Just wait. 9-8 is a real possibility. Could be that may still be enough to win the division, but the team is going nowhere in the playoffs. -

Lol. Yeah and if they lose to the Jets next week we can do this sad dance all over again. -
Sad to say but yeah, this. The OL is rough this year and it seems, unbelievably, like it’s getting worse.
-
Ah yes let’s create a whole thread to shift the blame around. Sad.
-
Agreed. So where’s the option for the offensive line up there?
-
Lol. I love how it’s just one or the other’s fault. No mention of the “MVP-level” QB who looked like he lost his marbles out there today. Gotta be the coach or the GM! Pathetic.

Bears looking at replacement for Nagy. Daboll at top of their list...

As others have said, I think the smart money has to be Dorsey. He knows this offense, if it ain’t broke, etc., etc… -
report- Empire State Development downtown stadium proposal
JoPoy88 replied to loyal2dagame's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes all of us in NYS are footing some of the bill when public money is involved. But as far as the upcoming actual negotiations between team, state and county authorities the city and its boosters like Termini have little to no leverage or influence. -

I do see his point regarding timing. And obviously it’s easy to see his motive with all of his downtown investments. The downtown option seems incredibly remote at this point though. Unless somehow the other decision makers can convince the Pegulas that downtown is a better option, every signal from them is pointing towards OP. This isn’t a Vikings situation where the city is actually contributing a portion of the funding (but the stadium is still owned by the state.) The city of Buffalo isn’t contributing anything to this construction, as far as I know. Hard for me to see how city real estate developers or city officials should get much of a say at all. -

One is core infrastructure, the other is a limited-use entertainment venue. I get the passion for investment around Buffalo, but Termini’s comparison is ludicrous. -
I agree with you almost 100%. The only caveat I’d point out is it is within the realm of possibility he was tell ing truth about the allergy thing - there are ingredients like PEG in the mRNA vaccines that can cause reactions. However - given the other outright lies and deceptions he’s told surrounding this, I would not be surprised if the allergy excuse was a lie as well.

Breaking News: Odell Beckham is set to be released
JoPoy88 replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s also been floated by some that OBJ could make it clear around the league through his agent/representatives that he does not intend to report if claimed off waivers, basically forcing himself into free agency. He’d likely make far less doing that, even after the restructuring the Browns are doing to his contract last minute. But he will gain some freedom in choosing where to go, which he probably values more at this point. -
Is he though? Granted, he did have a very productive season as recently as 2019 (which shocked me, looking it up, seems like ages ago) but he’s been addled with so many injuries since then I truly doubt his “expected” value at this point.

Adjusted for inflation (and, admittedly, ignoring the cost differences based on state, location, etc.) this place would be $1.2 billion today. Would it not be in their interest to look into a non-traditional structure like Minn? It seems affordable based on the numbers they’re throwing around. FYI the Minn US Bank funding deal broke down: 50% vikings, 35% state, 15% city. The city is already late on payments.
