  1. Fine by me - if they can go out and get the W with their backups I say go out and get it. But 11 is not much more meaningful than 10. That’s all I’m saying.
  2. when’s the last time they won 10? How about the last time they won a playoff game? Shouldn’t that be the focus, instead of risking injury to starters to secure an arbitrary number?
  3. but new england has 12 wins. Chiefs can get to 12. Are 11 wins in the same “category” as 12 in some way that 10 are not?
  4. I am with you on the immediate post-loss threads, they tend to be the most hyperbolic and least thoughtful threads. But you realize what the game day threads are - they are for real time commentary. So there are going to be multiple negative comments after every negative play (and positive comments after positive plays.) It’s not overreaction, it’s just the nature of those threads and what they are there for. yes I am aware I have the over when it was 6.5. The poster I replied to said “no one here thought...”
  5. that’s cool, but they are out there. Some of them were probably just being optimistic, but others looked at the schedule closely and saw 10-11 wins.
  6. Well that’s simply not true, and you could easily look back at season prediction threads to see for yourself how wrong you are. Many, many posters (and fans in general) genuinely saw a possible 9, 10, or 11 win team back in August.
  7. yeah i would not say Allen regressed either. He had trouble with things that have bothered him all season, but against that defense, in particular, I think his improvements (especially in the 2nd half) shone bright. “Regression” in my mind describes Trubisky from last year to this. I think Allen is still playing his game, for better or worse, and still improving.
  8. Point well taken my only response would be my reply fittingly equaled the response I was replying to in effort. At least Joe B put some work in.
  9. this is always true and I am not a big fan of Joe B in general but his critiques this time seemed pretty accurate. But to some here (and you would know better than almost anyone) ANY critique of Allen is a cue to go defensive and demolish the critic. That’s more what I was trying to relay.
  10. oh heavens he said something critical of Joshie!
  11. wow. Thanks for finding this hadn’t seen it before. What a joke. Must be nice to have an angel on your shoulder like Peyton Manning to vouch for you wherever you go and then delude yourself into thinking it’s all you, eh Adam? Burn the jets down along with the chargers and start over.
  12. Disagree with their placement - Allen would the 2nd 2018 QB in my mind, not 4th (or 3rd if you still have faith in Mayfield I suppose.) But I do think their evaluation in the OP’s post is fair enough. Credit is given (as it should be) to Allen’s underneath and intermediate accuracy. The problem remains his accuracy on long passes.
  13. Apparently they scooped Turbin off the couch as well. Gonna be a timewarp backfield for the hawks in the playoffs. Good luck with that.
  14. Okay like who? Who is your choice as a future all-pro outside LB that is currently whiling away on the Bills’ bench? Since it happened that one time 15 years ago on a different team.
  15. Probably shoulda read the latest news before posting...
  16. Lol did they really say that? I had to turn it off I had enough of Al and Chris last week.
  17. Bro Allen killed the first 3 offensive drives of the game with errant throws. When the bills were playing largely from behind and McDermott’s conservative playcalling hadn’t even yet come into play. Again if you can attribute those first 3 drive-killing throws to Daboll or McDermott please tell me - i’ll listen. But I just don’t see how you can put those on them. Allen’s failures on those drives helped keep our defense on the field for most of the 1st half.
  18. sure McDermott does get conservative I already agreed with you. You can’t say it’s all coaching and then dismiss and explain away the obvious fact that he missed several open throws tonight (again) with “every QB misses throws bro”. That’s dishonest. Allen misses many. Many more than certain other QBs in the league. WHICH IS FINE. He’s continuing to improve. But don’t scapegoat the coaches as the cause of all his troubles. That’s all. I am excited to see what he does in the playoffs.
  19. is it though? Hey I am not a fan of the coaching strategy when the Bills get a lead either, but the coaches aren’t responsible for Allen missing on those throws early in the game. I think Allen himself would tell you that.
  20. yes it’s my biggest gripe too. Seems like the gameplan flips to “protect the lead” immediately.
  21. Yeah I lived in Boston too - they’re certainly not my favorites.
  22. All this. We already scored our moral victory when when played them close earlier this season. I didn’t need another one.
