  1. Don’t discount the fact of Pickens being a complete Asshat. Rodgers or not, this may well be more of a reflection on the person than the player. He’s talented, but Dionte Johnson talked himself off the team and that didn’t play out too well. What’s a guy that disappeared more than Houdini going to offer? His biggest impacts were 15 yard penalties last year. I’m surprised they didn’t make the move before the draft, but whatever.
  2. Barring injury it doesn’t make sense for either party. The Bills cannot hold back progress from Coleman for a guy whose ceiling is a #3. That’s the primary role he would be competing for. Shakir is the lead dog, you paid 12M for Palmer so he’s getting his, Coleman is second year after being their first pick last year, Samuel is the jack knife guy, Moore is a better player with more speed than Davis, so really, he’s got no place on the active roster without displacing a guy they have to give reps to. Even then, he’s at best the 4th option.
  3. I don’t know where you guys have been, Steeler fans are convinced they stole their next Big Ben in the 6th round and are competing for a title this year. It’s fun to watch other teams in the same drought era delusional states that was here for years.
  4. Absolutely. It’s no coincidence that Allen had considerably less ints last season. I like Gabe, but if there’s anything to do with an option route, absolutely freaking not. I like him in the back yard, jump ball role only.
  5. Was just thinking the same thing. He has a shot to go there and get real reps. He’s got no guarantee of anything in Buffalo. At best he wins the #4 role here.
  6. Counter point, what if Rodgers hated him and wants his own guys there, like he does everywhere? This is just clearing space for Lazard. I’m not saying that’s it, but if Pitt is willing to go all in on Metcalf to pair with Pickens, but then after the draft trades Pickens, I suspect this is more like a Diggs move. He’s been a problem since day one and they can still get something of value for him, might actually be addition by subtraction. Ha, we are on the same page.
  7. I’ll judge after the pads and the lights come on. Lots of guys look bad in shorts and crush competition and the exact opposite, so let’s see what he is this year. Rookie season was solid, last year was not, hopefully he’s healthy, smarter and stronger, ready to make himself some money with a big extension next offseason.
  8. Don’t let any get under your finger nails, could end up in places you don’t want it.
  9. I don’t want to judge too much until I see the new D hit the field, that COULD change a lot. At this point, I think Baltimore is the biggest problem with a physical running game, explosive if not great passing game and a D that seemed to have the Bills in check. They beat themselves in the playoffs, honestly I feel there was more luck there than a better team winning. KC is always something and Cinci is going to score, there isn’t a lot that’s going to be easy.
  10. That snot that Anchor Bar tries to pass off as Blue Chz is GROSS. I like Blue cheese, eat it w my wings everywhere, theirs sucks.
  11. Yes, the fact that list has him as a slot is silly. He’s an outside guy.
  12. While I’m not a big fan of the soft scheme, specifically last season’s talent level was atrocious. I’d argue the only guys who even stand a chance to start on another team in the secondary are Benford and Johnson. He got a lot from a little, but it eventually caught up.
  13. Every one of them had a career year with JA, but you say they are the same guy. I say, they all got elevated by JA. If Moore does the same, he could be an 800 yard receiver. Will it happen? Who knows in the Brady scheme.
  14. You can sure argue ball placement. Dick move by the Browns. So John Brown, Cole Beasley and Diggs all just remained the same when they got JA throwing them the ball. Oh wait..
  15. Doubt it. You let him walk and take the comp pick.
  16. And there’s the truth. This team NEEDED to restock the D with young talent, they did it. Another PS WR wasn’t needed. Now they are going to plug the gap with a cheap vet that has proven he can fill a role at the NFL level. If you know anything about me, I’m not typically a Beane supporter, but I love the strategy this offseason. I am not proclaiming to have a magic 8 ball on his individual choices and boy do I question Palmer, but the concept he executed is actually brilliant.
  17. out of curiosity, what have the Packers won recently?
  18. With valid reason, the commitments made at WR with contracts to Palmer, Shakir and Samuel make them locks, the 2nd round pick on Keon means you have to give him his opportunity. There was no more money to spend and no real talent to make any difference in this draft, they restocked the D and replaced Knox for next offseason so they can make moves on the O. What do you want? Push one of the aforementioned to the 5th WR role and still have gapping holes on the D?
  19. Well, guess you might as well give up on this year before it starts.
  20. Wait for next year, this team needed a complete overhaul of the D and made major strides to do it. The offense was good last season and they added more than subtracted, plus get a couple guys back from injury and more experience. I’m not saying I’m a huge Palmer fan, but Josh seems to elevate every WR he plays with and if the guy really can separate, then I’d bet he has a heck of a year. Shakir will be close to 1k and hopefully Kincaid is shown the weight room this offseason and comes ready to play. With the running game being featured, there aren’t a lot of balls to go around from there.
  21. The expectation of spending big draft capital on WR was silly. It’s a weak class to start and deep in other positions of need. If you look at the contracts/investment the top 4 WRs are set. Shakir, Palmer, Keon and Samuel. The 5th/possible 6 is never seeing the field in an ideal world. Like it or not, they have to let Coleman prove himself, Palmer is starting and Samuel is going to get a lot more looks, assuming he’s healthy AND they still have time to add someone or see who emerges in camp.
  22. The more I look at this entire draft the more I think it’s prepping for next off-season. They have too many DL, specifically guys that can play 3T or 1T, they have excess Edge guys, excess DBs and a TE that does not seem to make sense…. All until it does. Oliver saves money by being cut next year, Jones is already one foot out the door, don’t expect Bosa back, the DB room could be almost entirely replaced from what we saw in 2023 including the obvious one year guys. Oh and where does this big ole blocking TE fit? The Knox replacement. I’m not going to pretend I have a clue about the individual guys Beane chose, but I see a plan forming and I like it. Great plan in place and WR can be heavily addressed next draft to restock the pantry with what one hopes is a better class. As of right now, the room was too full to do much anyway with Shakir, Palmer, Keon, Samuel as virtual locks and somebody competing as ST player and WR at flex. I get it, I don’t love it, but they have to let Keon make or break this year and the contracts pretty much force their hand on the others.
  23. Goodbye Davidson? Idk, maybe they see him as a swing tackle project?
  24. I feel like the Rams become the logical choice, Stafford should be done, they don’t have the next guy in line. 4th round is a great gamble.
