  1. This is absolutely nuts to me, it seems like there might be more to this story, nobody gives up on a first overall pick after 2 games in their second season in a garbage team.
  2. He had no KNOWN/reported concussions last season. However, his play was pretty awful at the end of the year, do we know he wasn’t messed up and hiding it? He’s had so many known concussions at this point, he really should stop, but we’ll see what he chooses to do.
  3. There is an UBER Shuttle that picks up and drops off in a couple of places, the shuttle gets you way closer. Personally, I’d just rent a car and go that route.
  4. That walk was insane. For anyone who makes a trip there in the future DO NOT take rideshare to that stadium. It’s a legit 45 min walk to the stadium and we were hustling. Even better the end of the game it cost me $145 to get back to my hotel. It’s a ***** show.
  5. I do not want to see guys get hit the way he did, but you have to love Shakir’s toughness, holding on to the ball while getting drilled and popping right up to run back to the huddle, looks like an old school WR. He’s quickly turning into on of my favorite players on the squad.
  6. Yes, they scored and ultimately that’s what matters. That said, they didn’t exactly move the ball, they had a whopping 247 yards of offense and 13 first downs. The defense set the O up very well; they scored 24 pts on 180 yards, that is not possible without extremely short fields. They had one drive that would be a “normal” length drive. I’m not trying to take anything away from them, they played the game and won, but the fact outsiders aren’t impressed with the offense isn’t unreasonable. Allen’s stats for 2 games look like his typical stat line for one of his good days. The leading receivers numbers are pedestrian and the RB yardage isn’t anything special either. So I fail to see why anyone is shocked that critics are finding the offense underwhelming so far. The idea that everyone is starving isn’t far off, they haven’t been passing a ton and everyone is getting a tiny morsel. Shakir is the only one who got a decent amount of targets both games. All that said, it COULD be a really good thing. It makes it hard to scheme against if there’s nobody to target. Also it appears they will adjust the plan to the opponent. As long as points keep going on the board and wins stack up, I don’t care how they do it (as long as JA is healthy).
  7. The offense as a whole didn’t do a lot yesterday. The D really put them in great position. They scored 24 points, which is good enough, but only had 2 sustained drives. They basically stalled right where the D gave them the first TO, got a field goal. Cook broke the one run on the first play of the series after getting the ball at the 50. It was exactly what they needed, but let’s not pretend they looked dominant out there. Shakir and Kincaid were the only players with more than one catch, so that starving theory isn’t that far off. I’m not trying to be negative, but be realistic about it. So far the O hasn’t been “impressive”.
  8. It looked like it was a duck off the foot live, but I’m not sure, if it wasn’t tipped, he hit it terribly. Probably a bad hold/terrible footing of that field. Guys were slipping all night.
  9. You know what, they were available and rarely injured. So the question is, would you rather have a more talented guy for 3 games a year or good solid play ALL year. I mean… this is funny.
  10. Those bad decisions were the real difference for sure. The one thing that really concerns me is it looks like we are back to having to completely sell out to stop one facet of the game again.
  11. Well they DID, but that’s not really the case because they were absolutely going to give up more when Tua went down. They were in the 6 yard line, 1st and goal, McDaniels went desperation mode and turned it over on downs with their back up QB. Let’s be real, they would have given up ~20-24 points with Tua out there. They were also selling out to keep the ball in front of them and getting gashed by the RBs, so it’s not all roses. Had Tua not thrown the ball up for grabs multiple times, this would be a very different conversation. The success was not really on the Safteys being good so much as Tua being pretty awful.
  12. Or Diggs just does his damn job.
  13. For real, I was so pissed we brought Rapp back bc he seems to make impact plays on his own team and it didn’t take him a full half to knock out arguably the best player on D. Such a putz, I wish he would have gone elsewhere. Unfortunately, if history tells us anything, Samuel will lead the team in injury report sightings. While he has elite physical traits and a really versatile skill set, he’s never managed to be a huge contributor because the number one attribute one must have is availability. I like the guy, pumped he’s a Bill, but his contract is a reflection of his issues in the league. If he had been healthy his whole career, he would be literally making 4x as much.
  14. Oh man, could you imagine if we had him, and had kept Edmunds, 2 superstars under the age of 23 on the same team! I hope this youngster matures quicker.
  15. Another NC guy! I’m headed out at 12, enjoy the game! I’m in 217, was going to go for 118, but got a sweet deal on first row of the club level seats so I went for it.
  16. That’s more what I saw too, but I’m not sure he doesn’t have a higher ceiling. He’s super athletic, even if he’s 1/10th of a second slower than the really fast guys in the 40. Larry Fitzgerald did ok as a “slow” guy. I’m not comparing the two, but I’m really hoping for something along the lines of Brandon Marshall or Plaxico Burress type of play. A true #1, even if not THE #1 in the league.
  17. This may be the weakest starting safety duo in the league vs the most explosive team in the league, it’s a terrible match-up. McD is going to have to be brilliant to pull this one off. I’m flying in to watch the game so I’m blindly optimistic, but it’s not great. I think this could well come down to who has the ball last.
  18. If they weren’t already prepared for this game after the entirety of training camp and all off season to prepare for division games, then McD is worse than I give him credit for. This is basically the same Dolphins team from last year, they better know what they are trying to do.
  19. They were competitive w DiVito at QB, to me, this is more players than coaching, BUT you do have to coach what you have, so is it all Jones or is the play calling just not suited to the players there? I don’t have the answer, but it’s the question one has to answer to make a good choice.
  20. Maybe, but unless he guaranteed he could make Daniel’s something, I question if it’s justified (yet), that roster is weak.. Schoen should be on the hot seat though.
  21. The Browns are going to have to blow it up and start over. You could see Garrett was visibly disgusted already in the first game of the year. When the best player and leader in your team is having to be talked off the ledge on the sideline before the end of the first game, it’s going to be trouble. I wouldn’t be shocked to hear Garrett beat the crap out of Watson and left him behind a dumpster by week 8. The contract restructure makes it all the more curious, they are going to be so screwed, they can’t do anything. They might as well unload the talent they have for picks, release Watson and start over if they can’t turn it around this year.
  22. This is pure gold.
  23. You guess? Tell me you would feel the same if roles were reversed. That was a bad no call as much as the slide calls were both wrong.
  24. Yeah, I suppose that’s true as well. The product sucks for 2 weeks into the year now bc of the joke they made of the preseason.
