  1. Unreal. How the hell are they paying 2 wrs, neither a true #1, 34M a year and still doling out monster deals to other guys too.. soon to be the same mess Reid left Philly in. It will be Maholmes and the grocery baggers in 3 years. The contract conveniently lines up with having to pay the QB
  2. He's a good player when healthy, he just has never proved he can be a number 1. His chance is here, hope he crushes it.
  3. Allen certainly is the Playmaker, but I think the point is, even Rodgers, who is far more polished, but a similar physical ability type, needs talent around him to go anywhere substantial. The Bills don't have anybody else on this roster who has proven to be an explosive playmaker. Brown and Foster have ability, but Brown has only one 1000 yard season and Foster has all of about a 5 game resume. Not a lot to go on. The backfield is a rookie who was deemed "too slow", which has yet to be determined, a 36 year old and an average back with good hands, nothing exciting there. TEs are all unproven at best. It's easy to see where the questions come from, because there are no answers yet. On the D, nobody has solidified a spot as an elite player either. Theres a bunch of guys who are all pretty damn good, but I would actually argue Hyde is the biggest X factor and he's not recognized as one of the elites either. Tre is a half step slow, Hughes is old, Oliver has done nothing in an actual NFL game, the LBs as a whole haven't proved anything other than potential yet. All that said, good TEAMS are better than the sum of their parts, ask the Pats, but it usually requires a couple of real standouts at key positions for that to work. Basically Allen and a couple guys catching passes have to become bigtime playmakers every game to win.
  4. Gotta go find 2 DE and real WR, going to need some LB help and probably a corner or 3. Depending on Singletary's year, you may need a starting Rb and theres plenty of guys to extend.
  5. So what is the consequence for Jones saying screw the cap, Im keeping my guys?
  6. Be real, Ramsey is an ass, but hes also elite and nobody on the Bills is in that territory, yet at least. No Tre is not as good as Ramsey so don't bother. I would love to know what you find false, looks SPOT ON, to anyone without bias.
  7. Thats a lot. I'm sure Dak is worth 40M per then lol. Bold. I don't agree with them missing the playoffs if only because I don't think there is anybody to fear in their division.
  8. Sorry guys, the same ***** would've been said about EJ.. end of the day, is there actual NFL talent to back it? We are soon to find out.
  9. Way more likely than Bell, MVP usually goes to a guy on a team over .500
  10. Hes not as good as Zeke, plus general thoughts around the league are backs are replaceable, hes in for a rude awakening.
  11. Just the evolution of the game, Shady replaced Westbrook, now Singletary replaces him, hopefully in 10 years somebody is taking Singletary's place.
  12. I had high hopes for Bojo, he has a HUGE leg, but why can't he get consistency?
  13. I hear you on the height obsession here, there is a certain point to it, but without great athleticism to go with it, its not a huge deal. A lot of smaller, more athletic guys can go up and get a ball, so a few inches difference isn't the end all.
  14. The fact he couldnt get separation vs low level competition had to be his end. Hes a big, strong, slightly too slow guy who could find a role by masking guys off and going up for catches, but that's not as valuable in todays game. I feel like he could be a great red zone player, but he HAS to win physically, thats tough.
  15. I don't see anybody having the cap and the desire to pursue him. This looks like a great play by the Bolts.
  16. Pretty clear we should have waited a year for our QB, didn't even have to draft him.
  17. This is where I put out the percentage of throws made by Allen exceeding 15 yards in the air and the utter lack of them for Jackson.
  18. Other than both of your examples being wrong, you are exactly right.
  19. Nope. Ryan Shazier comes to mind. If he goes out and plays, gets hurt either the next contract is smaller or it may never come. Its a matter of guaranteed money, 15 vs 60M
  20. Anybody with Jackson throwing a long ball to them will be lucky to catch 50%.
  21. If you polled Jets fans, they have Buffalo under the easy win tab as well. The Dolphins, I agree, but one never knows with division rivals. Broncos, Ravens, Steelers are all just as good if not better teams than the Bills. Tend to see a game or 2 where you should win and don't, so im not going to be suprised to see losses to the Giants (Barkley more accurately), the skins or the Bengals. Allen still doesn't have a lot of receiving weapons, so Im not 100% excited for him. Beasley, if healthy, should have a lot of catches, the rest is pretty unknown.
  22. Lots of optimism here... I can't vote from my phone, but I would be in the 6-7 camp.
  23. The guy was on the streets and got the call to come in, how much more of a wake up call do you need? He had to make it here or there was NO guarantee he was getting back in the league. He better be focused and happy to have a job, most of his QB draft class is already working in another field. Im happy for him, think he's probably a top 5 back up right now, but he's invhes from being out of the league completely, he has to embrace the suck and hope to hang on for 5-10 more years if hes lucky. If he does, great career and living, if not, hes still made a lot of money in real world terms, in a short span.
