Gase has never been particularly good, he rode the coat tails of generationally exceptional talent (P. Manning) pretending to have talent himself. When put in a position to grow QBs and teams without a generational talent at the QB position he has failed to do so with three consecutive teams, (Cutler, Chicago struggled and failed 23-26, Tannehill, Miami struggled and failed, 23-25, and Darnold, New York complete failure). Gase became moreso exposed as being bereft of the skill set required, with each of those teams. There is a saying in the NFL, “You are who your record says you are” ...
