Well, being that the salary cap doesn’t matter for well run teams with willing and deep pocketed owners, this in reality is not that big of an issue for them, or frankly any well run team. The salary cap is only used as an excuse when teams don’t want to pay a given player. Don’t get me wrong on this, as Bills fans we can only hope it causes turmoil within the Chiefs organization, if so, that would be great 😁👍 Go Bills!!!

Back up O-line guys rarely “make an impact”, league wide there is a dearth of quality O-line starters and back ups, not to say there can’t be the exception to prove the rule, as is said, fingers crossed 🤞 we have one or two that are truly good, Go Bills!!!

All three have modest contracts, none of them get out right cut, I can see Beane working one of them in a trade deal, we all know our GM & HC don’t give up on high draft picks when they are still in their first contracts…, Go Bills!!!

All this noise about his re-signing is likely already settled business for OBD, and is not more than a timing issue with multiple contracts being on the table currently, or some such a thing. He may walk after this season, he may be making 15 million a year give or take, for three ish years after this season, no one here knows for certain, but back to the OP’s initial point, Marino lays it out in a reasonable fashion, with TE’s pluses and minuses in plain view…, not much else to say about the topic. My gut feeling is he gets re-signed at whatever rate that is I don’t care so much, the cap is “just accounting” and totally manipulated at need.
