  1. Excellent points, and as you said elsewhere, it might benefit our entire defense if Frazier leaves and we can adapt a more attacking/aggressive defense. You said it well in the other thread about specific players who may benefit the most (ie: Edmunds). I can be persuaded about Hughes and Addison, but as much pressure as they supposedly generated, neither "finished" (nor did many others) for that point. I liked both players too, just don't think we've got much of an ROI from our dline investments. Will certainly give the benefit of the doubt to our young guys and see your point about giving them opportunities to prove themselves, as you said we have invested alot of draft capital there. Will depend what this team sees as a bigger need to put us over the top? DE, faster CB2 (although I'm a big Levi fan, he could also be improved upon), speed at WR (could be "retooling" this offseason there), IOL, TE2, 1 tech DT (will Star be kept/Harry reupped)? I will say, Hughes brought the most juice off the edge. If he isn't brought back, I'm not sure we have another speed rusher type...if that's something this staff covets.
  2. Agree with some and don't agree with some of this. Agree: overreacting about firing McD, Beane, and Farwell. Disagree: Frazier isnt mentioned, but if he was calling the defense at the end, then he should be shown the door. This wasnt about not squibbimg the kickoff, KC could have taken that back for 6 as well. It came down to letting KC drive 44 yards in less than 10 seconds. How do we not align with press coverage, rush just 2 or 3, and bring extra DBs onto the field? This was just as poor coaching as the Jets playjng covwr 0 on a hailmary against the Raiders last season. Frazier wont be let go, I know that, but man he just lost a TON of trust IMO. Also disagree about our pass rusher situation. Maybe it's a different debate, but I'm tired of the 2-3 B grade players we continue to dump money into (ie: Butler, Addison, Trent before. list goes on). Would rather we put that money into a single difference maker. Not many teams advance to the superbowl without a stud on their dline to wreak havoc. Hopefully we see one of young DEs flourish next season, but we played a lot of backup QBs and weather impacting why our defense ended with a top ranking...eye test looked like a 10th-15th ranked defense without consistent pass rush.
  3. No season is easy. Everyone also acting like winning 2 more in a row is a "given", are also delusional. Bengals are a very good team, they will give the Chiefs a battle and already beat them (like we did). Both SF and the Rams have well rounded teams, great coaching. Both of them have super bowl caliber bluechip talent, and been to recent super bowls. I think we still lack premier front 4 players. If you look back at recent super bowls, then you'll see each team has had at least someone to wreak havoc. I hope Beane realizes that 6 or 7 B-grade players at DL, is not the same as 1-2 A listers and hoping to avoid injury. If I had to do one thing, it's to stop investing in the combination of 2-3 Vernon Butlers, Trent Murphys, Mario Addisons, etc each season and instead spend that on a single player. More risky, but we have the cheaper contracted players in Groot, Boogie, and AJ for the next couple years.
  4. In all fairness, it's his 1st game back with a metal plate in his foot. But agree he isn't as explosive yet. Foreman is the better option for them right now
  5. Cincy get a score now, and let Tanny buckle under the pressure.
  6. Absolutely need to force feed him in the 4th qtr. Cincy is moving ball just fine, need to finish this drive with a score.
  7. Must have started in 2022, because I sold several times on Ticketmaster in 2021 with none of this occurring.
  8. DPOY...he's a beast. Put him on offense too, just have him switch jerseys with his bro on possession changes.
  9. That will be all game, that's KCs defense. I like how Daboll adapted this past game against them, and recently. More trips, quick motions to get "rub" routes and 1 extra guy off a jam
  10. Agree. Two most important things to me are QB play and team defense/ability to force turnovers. I give the edge to Dallas in both. I like Dallas by 8.
  11. Just like you thought Beas was yelling at Coach last week? Kidding kidding. It was definitely a shoulder, saw him favoring it while being checked on the field but saw him walk out of the medical tent and stay on sideline. Hopefully minor, agree with @Simon that Mario can be a key piece as we play a pass heavy team next week (either KC or Cincy).
  12. I saw him come out of the medical tent, and stay on the sideline with helmet. That doesn't rule out anything serious, but would think he would have immediately went to locker room if it was bad. He was clearly favoring the shoulder and writhing in pain on field, but after he got up he looked OK walking off. Hope for best, probably.more info come out tomorrow.
  13. Feeling rooting for Steelers today... But I'll make an exception to my lifelong anti-fanhood of Steeler football. Go Steelers, give us those Bungals!
  14. I haven't heard anything, and didn't see any post game comments. At the game, I saw him come out of the medical tent and remain on sideline with helmet. That to me is encouraging, without reading into it too much, if serious would think he would've went to locker room immediately. Expect we will hear more tomorrow.
  15. We have season tix, but driving from Pittsburgh made it difficult to get to every game this season. Especially night games and driving back after the game, but WOW this was certainly worth it. 1. Weather: immediately felt frigid, but that was jumping out of the car before getting layered up. At the game, didn't feel cold at all. I previously posted what I was wearing, but basically two layers of everything. 2. Atmosphere: I'm sure everyone said this, but this was the most electric atmosphere, that I've ever witnessed. Totally electric/epic game, this is one of these games I'll always remember and be talking about years from now. 3. Attendance: game was packed, didn't look like many if any empty seats. Coolest thing, pretty much everyone stuck around to the end of game (frigid weather and a blowout at that point), awesome to see! 4. Gameplay: unbelievable seeing Josh and the offense perform like that in-person. So many great reads/decisions, oline played awesome, Motors vision was unreal and made great runs, and our WR/Knox was catching everything. Even Tommy Doyle, got in on the action! Love seeing a big man score (Madden reference lol). 5. Leadership: this was ever apparent, players coming off encouraging, Diggs stepping onto the field at timeouts to talk with the defense, Reid on the sidelines getting fired up at kickoffs, etc. List goes on and on, this team is a collective brotherhood with great chemistry/leaders. Awesome all around performance and game for fans to remember!
  16. I was at the game and thinking the exact same thing. Great post! I'd add the Micah interception, never seen a FS cover that ground and make such a great catch! Especially after the Pats converted back to back 3rd downs, which were exactly what they did against us in NE to keep the game close. That definitely was a huge swing in momentum. To clarify #2, they did announce at the game that McKenzie was ruled down by contact on that opening kickoff.
  17. I'm more likely to bet on the Chiefs covering, at -12.5. However, any given Sunday...especially a defense that's capable of slowing down a team like KC. Their prior game was an anomaly for both, as each side had key players out for Covid/injury. I think the Steeler defense can keep them in the game, but the offense will need to start much faster (they've been horrible in the 1st half all season). If an upset would happen, it will only be because: 1. Steelers relentlessly pressure Mahomes and force a couple turnovers, and FGs instead of Tds. Steelers dline can get consistent pressure with 4, I'm more worried about them being worn out by the 4th quarter if their offense can't sustain a few drives (Steelers are not a deep defense, but have a few stars) 2. Steelers offense "manufactures" yardage, KCs defense is still the same gambling/go for broke mentality that they played with last season...their corners get grabby and they aren't afraid of leaving them on an island.. Steelers need a few critical DPI and KC is still showing breakdowns in coverages....so Claypool and Diontae will need to step up. If an upset would happen, I'd expect a 23-20 type score...but more than likely see KC winning 30-17 pulling away in the 4th.
  18. Agree, ball security will impact both styles of offense. Harris has almost fumbled the pitch on toss sweeps, in both games against us. In extreme cold, gripping the ball to throw can be very challenging. Josh will be fine, Mac will certainly be tested.
  19. Here are my tips, from plenty of skiing and hunting: Torso: triple layer 1. Base layer: should be tight, but not too restrictive. I go with polyster, Under Armour. 2. Mid layer: I go with a fleece, or similar material. 3. Shell/outer layer: something wind/water resistant. I'm a big fan of the Columbia jackets. with thermal fleece shells...so an extra layer of warmth. I'll probably add a sweatshirt under this too. Legs: 1. From track days running in low temps, I'll wear under Armour tights. 2. Snow/Ski pants as outer layer Feet: Double layer socks 1. Normal socks then layer with Wool socks 2. High quality boots, and foot warmers might be helpful in this weather. Hands: double layer gloves, water resistant on outer layer. Hand warmers too. Head: I'll probably go with ear covers, a ski mask and tossle hat, seeing how cold it will be. And lipbalm, unless you want to go with the Tom Coughlin style look. And likely plenty of bourbon, for extra protection 😁. Go Bills!
  20. Don't disagree with your comments, but it's also generalizing. For example, I'm pro-vax (boostered), pro-Beas (but realize he has lot a step or two, and like to see McKenzie more as well), just didn't observe the same thing that the OP mentioned. I'm trying to bring awareness to what I saw occur, without any preconceived bias. However, like you said, alot of people make the situation/outcome fit their preconceived bias/opinion. That's exactly why I've been adamant to share what I saw occur at the game, and ask questions to the OP to make sure things weren't misinterpreted/construed. At this point, there is no definitive, people who were at the game saw what they saw (if they have a sideline view) while others are watching literally 1-2 sec clips that are certainly not definitive. So yeah, you have to excuse the people who want a bit more clarity/confirmation on the events that happened before calling this a situation. This event happening or not,, is not the big deal, as the OP said throughout the thread. IMO, I just don't like seeing recursions of how fans react and all of a sudden use this as additional fuel to run said player out of town (which is possible to occur due to his on field performance) or continue booing him. To each their own, but I'm never in support of booing our players.
  21. Not at all, just posting what I noticed too and asking to get more information. Some people are bothered by me questioning the OP because I didn't see this happen the way it was originally described. Go Bills, that's all I care about when I'm on this message board. Thanks for sharing.
  22. Legit question, did you personally see and hear what you reported, or going off 2nd hand/someone else's report of this? I only ask because you've posted many times about where you sit, and seems like it's not close to the field to "hear" what players/coaches say. See: Again, not trying to discredit, I have a great view of sideline and didn't witness this occurrence you mentioned. So trying to figure out if it's possible someone else told you about Beas situation.
  23. I can believe it, he also clocked in at 20.29 mph Week 2 against the Dolphins. OP was right, he should have been seeing this type of touches all season, and would have easily hit 1k. Just glad they are finally figuring out who their best players are, just wondering why it took so long into the season (ie: Motor, Bates, McKenzie). That will likely detail this conversation, no need to do that. Motor has been huge during this winning streak
  24. Poor word choice by the OP, if he was indeed asking for confirmation that this "supposed event" occurred. I took his post to be literally how it was spelled out... 1. this is what I saw/witnessed 2. (here is the question/topic of thread)...did this get shown or discussed on the broadcast? Your choice of words, "this is what I thought I saw, can anyone confirm?", is non-controversial but not what the OP said in his post.
  25. Agree. Also, unless someone sits within rows of the field...it would be extremely difficult to hear ...as the OP quoted Beas of saying "I'm done, I'm done". Same OP said in a prior post string, that I previously linked, that he sits on Bills sideline "right below the press box". Not hearing specific words that the coaches/ players are saying from that vantage point unless you're a trained lip-reader.
