    We already know that Beane is on the look out for a WR and DE. Beane also made it clear that he would make allowances to pursue free agents to augment the draft. The best time to do this is during the rookie contracts.

    I know. Sooner rather than later, the offense needs to definitively win a few games without expecting the defense to bail them out.They need to get going. That is why it is important for Allen to do well against Miami. Even if it is the Dolphins, Allen could build on that for tougher opponents.

    As you have probably read, Carlos Beltran has stated that he will only manage the Mets. Is this some attempt at redemption? Would he once and for all, truly lead this young Mets team and be their voice?

    I would say 11-5, but unlike years past, I cannot easily predict who the Bills would lose to. This is a different team, winning in various ways and showing many faces.

    I predicted that the Bills would win 8 or 9 games. I don't think anyone expected the Bills to be on the fast track for 10+ wins. They are suddenly ahead of schedule.

    Beltran must feel that everyone is experiencing memory loss. He always struck me as a strange dude. Yes, the media would have a field day with him.

    Sometimes I use the drive thru through at Starbucks. I can pay with plastic and throw change in the jar at the window.
