  1. Big Ted Washington should be in the HOF much less this list-if you picked an all time NFL team and you have a 3-4 defense Ted Washington is the NT-it isn't even a discussion-at his best-and his best was a long time-the guy was the perfect NT.
  2. Maybe-obviously Randy Moss at his best would be a 20 million dollar player today but so would Reggie White or LT. And Deon Sanders of course.
  3. I don't even know if he did it twice but I remember it as Willie Gault and the TV commenters beforehand talking about his world class speed and how Odomes couldn't handle him-and then Nate just manhandles the guy like he was a little kid. You certainly could be right that it was Brown-in any event what a great play.
  4. If the Bills get three players from this draft that turn out to be top NFL players it is a success-it doesn't matter what position. Here is the last 20 years of Bills drafting and number of top players drafted: 1999-2 Winfield CB Price WR 2000-ZERO 2001-3 Clements CB Schobel DE Henry RB 2002-ZERO 2003-2 McGahee RB McGee CB 2004-1 Evans WR 2005-ZERO 2006-2 Whitner S Kyle DT 2007-2 Lynch RB Poz LB 2008-ZERO 2009-3 Wood OC Byrd S Levitre OG 2010-1 Spiller RB 2011-1 Dareus DT 2012-3 Gilmore CB Glenn OT Bradham LB 2013-2 Woods WR Alonso LB 2014-1 Watkins WR 2015-1 Darby CB 2016-1 Lawson DE ?? 2017-4 White CB Jones WR Milano LB Dawkins OT 2018-2 Allen QB Edmunds LB The 20 year average is 1.55 Anyway-the point is the Bills don't have the luxury of drafting for need-it is hard enough just to get top players at any position.
  5. That is a wild picture-I would never guess WR just looking at him-maybe DE.
  6. IMO Randy Moss is the GOAT but if this guy is actually Megatron version 2019 I think he might be a good pick at #9. A lot of IFS there for sure.
  7. Also the hoodie ran the NYG defense that was great-including shutting down the high scoring Bills.
  8. I would disagree-you don't win anything in the NFL with talented, unmotivated players-this isn't basketball. You keep a star like that around and soon other players, especially young players are just as lazy and causing trouble. NE wouldn't put up with it so why should the Bills-the goal is to win not just have a talented roster on paper.
  9. I remember Flutie running around all day and then he just flips the ball super casual to a wide open Moulds who walks in for the TD.
  10. This is an interesting draft because the mock drafts are all over the place-I have seen Williams at #2 or #9 and Oliver at #4 or #17 (as an example).
  11. What I like about Pegula compared to Wilson is that this guy isn't afraid to spend his money on the Bills.
  12. The best case scenario from the mock drafts I have seen (and the trade chart) is that the Bills get Williams at #9 and then trade all their remaining picks for #17 where they pick Oliver. So Kyle is replaced with Williams and Oliver.
  13. Yes I would give up 2 #1s for Wilson if I was the NYG GM- I think he is underrated. Not easy to get a QB like that.
  14. I am surprised the hack didn't claim he has a tape of Rodgers in a Moscow hotel room-lots of zombies out there willing to swallow anything they are fed.
  15. I don't know how anybody can listen to that Schopp guy-they used to have a guy years ago named Chuck Dickerson-he was an idiot but sometimes he was entertaining-this Schopp guy must have dirt on whoever owns the company.
  16. All the team boards are different-that is why the draft is unpredictable-obviously the BPA is the guy the Bills team says it is.
  17. Another thing is that Dareus had serious weight problems-at one point he had a giant gut and looked to be over 350 for sure (way over his listed weight)-he lost agility and speed naturally because of this. People forget that these college players are very young guys and some of them have way out of whack metabolisms which naturally get worse as they get older-even while working out like crazy they are always close to becoming really fat almost overnight.
  18. If the Bills draft exceptionally well it will have nothing at all to do with team needs. You can see this by looking at the draft history-the whole game is to snag the few NFL level players in the draft (at any position). I like how Beane used FA to build up depth and competition-I don't remember the Bills doing that before this year.
  19. You seem to be missing the point that your "needs" are not necessarily available in the draft that year-some years nobody from a certain position makes it in the NFL so if you are going to draft for that need you lose.
  20. Belichuck drafted Garrappolo years ago and the guy can play-the plan was for him to be the starter by now but Kraft overruled the coach-which is why he is in SF.
  21. Favre was a top QB when the Packers drafted Rodgers-so Rodgers was on the bench. The top QB you want to draft isn't going to magically materialize just because you need him this year-so yes better to have two good ones than zero.
  22. IMO this team really doesn't have any glaring holes or "needs"-I would define a need as you are thinking the guy you drafted is your day one starter as a rookie. Using that criteria, maybe they can draft one or two but that is it-probably DT, maybe OT. This roster has a lot of B and C level talent-which is higher than most rookies.
  23. The one about Hitler disagreeing with the signing of Terrell Owens
  24. IMO Allen displayed fantastic pocket awareness and elusiveness as a rookie QB-most rookie QBs would have been shell shocked playing behind that line. He reminded me of a big strong version of Doug Flutie.
