  1. If you think the average user "needs" it you obviously haven't tried it. I don't know what % of users "need" it but I wouldn't be surprised if it is under 5% at this point-the product is mainly recreational these days.
  2. You take the BPA-other than at QB because the QB position is special-2 QBs of equal ability causes all sorts of team problems that don't exist with stacking players at any other position. Back in the day Tom Landry tried alternating QBs-it was a total disaster obviously-the starting QB can't be constantly looking over his shoulder nervously at this replacement if he screws up. At say DT it just makes the starter go harder and the competition works great.
  3. Beane was 100% right when he said FA for need and draft for BPA. FA has lots of B and C level NFL players that have shown what they can do-most drafted players will never get to the level of a C level NFL free agent.
  4. There are not that many top players in any draft-if you start drafting for need you lower your chance of getting one of the few top players available. Just because you have a "need" does not mean there is a player available this year to fill that need. Draft geeks wildly overestimate how many top players are available every year.
  5. Rodgers has carried that lousy franchise on his back since they let him start at QB-the guy could have literally gotten the same or even better results quarterbacking the lowly Buffalo Bills over that time period-no QB that ever played the game could have produced as well as Rodgers with that gang (including idiot McCarthy).
  6. IMO Rodgers is the GOAT-other than drafting the guy, GB management has been pretty lousy his whole time there-it would bug anybody.
  7. Kraft was just born too soon-15 years from now guys just like Kraft will be handled by sex robots and trafficked persons will struggle to find a customer base.
  8. Re talent, NE has always had the QB, OL, DL and TE. If you win the battle at the line of scrimmage and you have a top QB you are going to be fine-NE has shown you can win with top WR talent or without it.
  9. A lot of this stuff is just B/S-NFL Football is an extreme sport-it is not tennis. They want intelligent, violent players who will do anything to help the team win and do their best to avoid getting into trouble off the field. High football "character" means helping the team win, not necessarily being a super nice guy. Until he went nuts Richie Incognito was considered a "high character" guy even though he got caught up in that whole Dolphins thing-his teammates and coaches liked him-it was the coaches that told him to toughen up the guy.
  10. What you are missing is that Beane already stated publicly that his goal is not to assemble the most talented roster possible-his goal is to win the Super Bowl, which is something different. There isn't anybody in this draft with more natural ability to play NFL football than Marcell Dareus and Beane moved him out.
  11. I agree on Oliver-he is the same size Warren Sapp was when he was drafted.
  12. IMO Beane and his team seem to know what they are doing-lots of draft experts didn't like the Allen pick last year-it looks good now-I also like how Beane has publicly stated that drafting for need is stupid-which it is.
  13. Also Marcus Allen-his stats are great-he was maybe the top goal line RB ever-and Al Davis worked pretty hard at screwing up his career-there is a video on the whole thing.
  14. Frank Gore-considering the guy has almost 19000 yards I would say he is somewhat underrated.
