  1. I really wish we could give Josh Allen some real WR weapons to throw to before jettisoning him. I mean he really has only 1.5 WRs out there... TE's are pretty raw / have dropsies. Josh has such a strong arm, IMO, right now he is waiting for his WR's to break and see where they are going before throws (his arm makes up for the 'late' throw). Just think if he has a full arsenal of WR's and a TE that he could rely to get open for him (or at the very least he can throw it up to them and they fight for the ball).
  2. Good OP. I do NOT want to pay Derrick Henry, but we do need a power RB for next year. (Can you the DH money elsewhere on the team). After seeing Clowney play more, I think he would be a good piece on the team. A great pass rusher makes everyone look better because of less time in the pocket / constant pressure on QB. Need BETTER WR's for Allen to run to. I would like to get a FA and one in the draft (high pick) One of the top 5 hopefully. Keep shoring up the OL/DL. Bills are in a great position to excel next year with the correct new pieces. (Division crown is within reach with more offensive weapons)
  3. I would if I was New England. He's the best prospect to come out in a long time IMO. Have Bellycheck keep coaching thru the preseason... THEN he goes down with an 'illness' that will sideline him for the season... PERFECT reason for a tank. Please don't tell New England this. Thanks.
  4. I'm not saying that I don't want him on the team. I just want him for the right price because of the potential headaches he brings. Cleveland had a lot of problems last season and while he wasn't the source of all of it, he was a good chunk of the dysfunction.
  5. Would you really give up a #1 for OBJ? Dude's a HUGE head case. 2nd or lower. Again, Giants were lambasted for trading him last year... They Giants knew what they had and jettisoned it... (especially after the whole Pitt/AB fiasco).
  6. Good?? 1 - Tee Higgins WR 2 - JK Dobbins RB 3 - Jabari Zuniga EDGE 4 - Cole Van Lanen, OT, Wisc. Only did 4 rounds.
  7. My order: #1A - 4 (WR) #1B - 3 #3 - OLINE #4 - OLINE #5 - WR #6 - 1 ( I agree we need another young good RB. BUT this can be found in the mid-late draft. So, I do not see this as a #1 need. #7 - 6. I'm ok w/ special teams players and backup QB.
  8. Didn't read the whole thread...sorry. ? Ford with the 2nd round pick at the time was a good pick. He had a rough rookie campaign. Hopefully next year he will be better. After thinking about it, I bet Metcalf might have been off our board. IF he was on our board and we saw that he was slipping down the 2nd round, you know Beane wouldn't have hesitated to try and trade up into the mid-bottom of the 2nd to go and get him.
  9. The 49ers are sending a third- and fourth-round pick to the Broncos in exchange for Sanders and a fifth-round pick Would you really give up MORE than a 3rd and 4th round pick for a 32 yr old WR that is going to be a free agent next season? I was surprised the broncos got that much for him. I guess if they win the superbowl it will be worth it.
  10. If we can sign him for 7/8 Mil a year. I'm all for that. I just don't want to resign him at a higher price than his 5th year contract would have been... There's still 2 games left plus playoffs. If he get a couple of more sacks this season, I would expect the price to keep going up. Just like you said, he is trending up.
  11. If we can sign Shaq for less than 9.5 Mil a year, then ok. You never know with free agency what's going to happen. I would think 1 team out there would 'break' the bank for him. I'm more concerned with resigning Phillips and keeping the DT core together.
  12. Good DT, definitely try to resign Phillips... Shaq is a different situation. We thought so 'highly' coming into this year that we passed on his 5th year of his deal... So this year Shaq is playing for a new deal. So has he really matured or is he just balling out THIS year so he can get a good contract? Most of the time people that are only playing for a deal revert back to their 'normal' not hair on fire performance.
  13. The late 1st round picks have been gaining more value because of the option for the 5th year, which only 1st round picks get. Teams are trading up into the 1st round for that extra year and the cost is cheaper at the end of the round IF a player you love is there (capt'n obvious right ) Damn, 3 MIL over already! Yeah, time to blow that crap up, take a hard year next year and GET the #1 pick. new franchise QB... Dude's a stud and worth blowing up a year to get him.
  14. I could see Atlanta trade Julio. Like you said, they still have Ridley to be their #1. They traded Sanu to NE for a 2nd... I would NOT break the bank for Julio though. Expensive contract. Getting older. I wouldn't give more than a 2nd-3rd round pick for him. (or multiple lower picks). What Buffalo needs is a true #1 WR. Free Agent, Trade, Draft, don't really care how ya get him. We do not need more *mediocre* (in the best way possible) WR's on this team. I would be fine w/ AB on this team, but VERY cap friendly deal, all incentive based. I would be fine for trading for Julio or Green, but not for a #1 pick. They are good now, but for how long. Not worth a #1 pick. I would also like to get true elite speedy WR. Someone that could blow the doors off the defense if they are not watching. We have THE QB for this type of WR. This type of WR could be found in the draft in later rounds.
  15. Agree pretty much. Only thing I'd add for Week 17. The full team should be readied to play the Jets. **Hopefully we kill the Jets in the first half** Watch the scoreboard for the NE/Miami game (they play at the same time). If NE gets a big lead on Miami, then I'd pull the starters at halftime. BUT it would be very good for the psyche of the team and fans if we have a TIE record wise with New England. (Both win)
  16. Well, half the NFL teams are out of the playoff hunt, so those fans need something to talk about... AND this year we ain't one of those teams...
  17. Wouldn't it be nice if we had a WR that Josh Allen couldn't overthrow???
  18. I think as you can see with the Baltimore attack. A great TE that can catch and block is worth a high draft pick. I know we are kinda happy with our TE's right now, but if we can get another great one, let's do it...
  19. Houston's OLINE is very weak... We will get pressure only rushing 4. I have a hunch the DT positions will eat up the Houston Oline.
  20. AB, Higgins, and Smoke Brown, plus Beasley! That's a great WR corp.
  21. Hopefully Knox will be catching Juggs all off season... Positions of most need: WR, OL, DL, CB I'd be happy with BPA from those positions for the first 3-4 rounds. Later rounds we could use more OL, a TE, a RB, K, P. Especially a freakin' punter. Also, I'd be ok w/ Green, OBJ, or AB as long as the contract is almost all PERFORMANCE based. Small base salary, LOTS of incentives to be a good teammate and playermaker on the field.
  22. You know who is loving this OBJ taint meltdown the most? The Giants. Everyone was like "How do you trade THAT guy away?" Well, now you know. What could Cleveland get for him in a trade now??? After the whole AB/Steelers fiasco, the Giants saw the writing on the wall for this guy. They said let's jettison this headcase ASAP!
  23. Yep. Blow up the mesh point. Hit Jackson everytime.
  24. Not too worried about Buffalo's Offense. I think they will find a way to score 18-21 points. Ravens play most of the time with multiple TE's to control the LOS and are also targets in the passing game. The #1 thing is to stop the run (both QB and RB). I think there are 2 ways to attack their offense. 1) Be aggressive and attack the mesh point where Jackson/Ingram hands the ball off (or keeps it). Make Jackson make a decision early, then run it down. 2) Only blitz with a CB. Because of Jackson's speed, I think you attack off the edge with a CB blitz to try and match his speed. (also try and get in quicker). I do not think interior blitzes will be effective. I would play 5/2/4 to try and neutralize their running game and live with the passing. Have 5 down linemen (can mix LBs here too) to try and control the LOS, 2 LBs (one of these potentially a backup CB or Safety to spy Jackson), and 4 DBs.
  25. Often hurt... There's your answer, Nope. But if you wanted to take the chance. 1Mil base, all incentives up to 4 Mil.
