Bills now Vegas betting favorites to land Derrick Henry
whorlnut replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t know if it will be Henry or not, but I fully expect some movement before the deadline. I see this as the Beane and McD last gasp. If things go south, then the two of them might not be working together in the next couple months. Gotta make something happen. Can’t take those draft picks with you. -
I’m sorry…Dorsey has his flaws…but I think the real issue is McD himself. I think one of the reasons they went with Dorsey in the first place is because he’s a young guy that would be grateful for the opportunity and would do what the HC wanted. That’s why McD and Daboll bumped heads so much…Daboll did what he thought he needed to do. Dorsey doesn’t seem to do that and instead defaults to McD with whatever he wants. There are plenty of issues to go around, but I think all of this starts with mcd.

Our backups should be able to keep one of the worst offenses in football under 25. Sorry…I’m not agreeing with you at all. The pats were in the red zone 5 times all season before yesterday and got there 5 times against us alone. Not good enough.
-
Disagree. McD forced it into this and Dorsey has no authority to change it.
-
That doesn’t hide the fact that 25 should be good enough against a terrible offense.
-
I mean, they did score 25. That should be enough against one of the worst offenses in the league.

This season is a wash…time to focus on rebuild m

The injuries are a terrible excuse for todays game. The Pats have a horrendous offense and our backups should have been able to stop them under two minutes. We just aren’t as good as we all believed. -
Kaiir Elam is a liability any time he is on the field

Nope…had faith in Allen all along and have faith in Kincaid now. Thanks for asking. Keep believing in a failed prospect. I’ll check on you later… -

None of those guys were first round picks. First round picks are largely considered day one starters. However, Elam was a healthy scratch multiple times his rookie year and every game this year until our CB1 went down. Oh by the way…Jamarcus Ingram, a UDFA, finished last game after Elam crapped his pants. Am I missing anything? -

This is an excuse too. Was he graded as a first rounder? Maybe. Did he fit another team’s press man scheme? Yeah. Did he fit out zone scheme? Nope. That’s the difference. Not all first rounders are the same. He would have been decent in a scheme that fits his strengths. He just doesn’t fit ours. Beane def need to wear that. He panicked after McDuffie was drafted (imo) and now we are in this spot. -

This crap that “he looked pretty good as a rookie” needs to stop. It’s an old narrative and just has to go away. If he was so good, then the coaches would believe in him. I trust them more than message board gm’s that cry about hOw WelL hE pLaYeD aS a rOoKiE. It’s a horrendous excuse for a crappy football player. -

Totally agree that he sucks. It was a terrible pick. Didn’t fit the system was only part of the problem. The fact that he duped McD and Beane with his stupid notebook really irritates me. -

Sounds like a lot of excuses for a former first round pick that has been a complete flop to this point. It’s ok to admit he sucks. He’s had plenty of opportunity. -
It’s time for people to accept that Elam CAN be “that bad”. He had a chance to prove himself and he sucked.

At least elam can tell his grandkids he was a first round pick… -

Elam sucks dude. End of story. Accept it. -
Why can’t anyone see this? Who cares if Elam was a first rounder? He hasn’t earned it yet and it should never be given to him based off is draft position.

Brandon Beane…..you have to bring in a Corner.

You can’t argue Frazier was better…cause he wasn’t.
