I mean, they did score 25. That should be enough against one of the worst offenses in the league.

This season is a wash…time to focus on rebuild m

The injuries are a terrible excuse for todays game. The Pats have a horrendous offense and our backups should have been able to stop them under two minutes. We just aren’t as good as we all believed. -

Nope…had faith in Allen all along and have faith in Kincaid now. Thanks for asking. Keep believing in a failed prospect. I’ll check on you later… -

None of those guys were first round picks. First round picks are largely considered day one starters. However, Elam was a healthy scratch multiple times his rookie year and every game this year until our CB1 went down. Oh by the way…Jamarcus Ingram, a UDFA, finished last game after Elam crapped his pants. Am I missing anything? -

This is an excuse too. Was he graded as a first rounder? Maybe. Did he fit another team’s press man scheme? Yeah. Did he fit out zone scheme? Nope. That’s the difference. Not all first rounders are the same. He would have been decent in a scheme that fits his strengths. He just doesn’t fit ours. Beane def need to wear that. He panicked after McDuffie was drafted (imo) and now we are in this spot. -

This crap that “he looked pretty good as a rookie” needs to stop. It’s an old narrative and just has to go away. If he was so good, then the coaches would believe in him. I trust them more than message board gm’s that cry about hOw WelL hE pLaYeD aS a rOoKiE. It’s a horrendous excuse for a crappy football player. -

Totally agree that he sucks. It was a terrible pick. Didn’t fit the system was only part of the problem. The fact that he duped McD and Beane with his stupid notebook really irritates me. -

Sounds like a lot of excuses for a former first round pick that has been a complete flop to this point. It’s ok to admit he sucks. He’s had plenty of opportunity. -
It’s time for people to accept that Elam CAN be “that bad”. He had a chance to prove himself and he sucked.

At least elam can tell his grandkids he was a first round pick… -

Elam sucks dude. End of story. Accept it. -
Why can’t anyone see this? Who cares if Elam was a first rounder? He hasn’t earned it yet and it should never be given to him based off is draft position.

Brandon Beane…..you have to bring in a Corner.

You can’t argue Frazier was better…cause he wasn’t. -

The difference from before is we didn’t have depth, not to mention another first rounder to step in. -

Completely disagree with the OP. We were fine last year without Tre. We went 13-3 with him being a shell of himself. He really hasn’t been all pro Tre since before his acl injury. These guys are experienced. Let it play out.- 116 replies

Elam a healthy scratch part deux (now part TRES) (now part QUATRO)
whorlnut replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the window to trade him this year has closed unless they can get a chase Claypool return like the Steelers got. Anyone think he was worth the first pick in the second round? No way. Sometimes teams panic and hopefully Beane is on the phones trying to find the best return. -

Possibly, but 22 year old first rounders don’t do well as depth. His confidence has to be shot and he deserves a chance to restart his young career. It obviously isn’t here and that’s unfortunate, but it has to be embarrassing for him at this point. -

They’ve already destroyed any trade value he might have had before the season. Bad move imo. This might be one of the biggest myths on the board and with the entire fanbase. Do y put really think the coaches are going to make a first rounder inactive week after week if he played so well? Come on…
