It is with a heavy heart that I have to let you all know the doctors can’t do anything more for my beautiful wife. She had a massive stroke on Saturday night (on top of the massive aneurysm on Friday night) and we have decided to remove her air tube on Wednesday morning. This has taught me so much. First, how much I truly loved and depended on my wife. Second, how precious life is. Third, don’t say, do, or have actions that you might regret. Fourth, football is just a game. We all love the Bills and have different ways that we think they need to go, but in the end, none of it matters. Hold tight the ones you love. Don’t sweat financial issues, stay close to your spouse, and just flat out do the very best you can. With love…Scott and Jill Whorley

Hi guys…wanted to give an update. After my message about movement in her toes last night, there was a turn for the worse by morning. I’ll share details once I am strong enough.
-
I’m headed to the hospital right now. Had to be home for the kids last night. The hospital is 90 minutes from my house.

Just know…anyone out there who hasn’t experienced this FAMILY, that’s exactly what it is. A FAMILY. I can not tell you how humbled I am by the prayers and go fund me donations for me and my kids. Words will NEVER tell the story. We all read about the generosity and FAMILY dynamic, but until it happens to you, you can’t even fathom how meaningful it is. I never met any of you, but you are praying for my wife who also loves the bills like you do know her. I can’t even see this screen from crying and I hope this makes sense. Whorlnut from 2 days ago will never exist again. A more humbled, softer man now takes his place. As an update…we got amazing news about an hour ago. The nurses asked her to wiggle her toes and SHE DID! Praise the Lord! Please continue to pray for no setbacks and that she comes back to me and the rest of the family. Thanks again!!!

Update…she is still in a coma. Vitals are good, reflexes appear to be good. The tough part is we won’t know much for another 7-14 days to see how the brain reacts.

Thanks again to everyone. My sister is working on a go fund me. I will post a link when I get it, but please just continue praying. That’s the only thing that matters right now.
-
There is no doubt. I am so overwhelmed by all this.
-
Thank you so much. I honestly don’t have much of an appetite but the offer is amazing. My sister said she will start one and send me a link. Thanks again

You are all AMAZING and I will NEVER forget any of this no matter the outcome. This is life changing no matter what and you all mean so much to me.
-
Thank you so much sir…I don’t know the first thing about starting one of those though…

You all are so amazing. I love all of you. Thank you to all who have responded this quickly and to all that will. I’m out of options. I don’t want to post this here, but I’ve seen the amazing responses from all of you in past tragedies. You don’t know how much it means.

My wife had a brain aneurysm last evening and was helicoptered to york hospital in Pennsylvania for surgery. She is fighting for her life. The only reason I’m writing this is to ask for prayers for someone you never met, but is an amazing and passionate bills fan, like myself. I’m out of options, folks. This truly does fall on faith and hope that she will be healed. Thank you so much for reading this and I know your prayers will be felt. The Mafia is a family. We might not agree on things all the time, but we all want the same thing. At the end of the day, it’s a sport, but this is real. Please pray for my wife, myself, and our two children. Thank you.

The exact same thing can be said about wr. We have to get younger and cheaper there. I don’t wanna see gabe Davis replaced with another gabe Davis. Time to upgrade with a guy with a more complete skill set. We aren’t looking specifically for a 2 at this point. We are looking for a potential 1 as Diggs is going to be 31 next season.
-
I thought they said he plays faster than his 40 time will show?
-
I’m not sure where you saw that, and you may be right, but I saw on nfl draft buzz that he is projected to be around 4.59, which is awful.
-
I agree on all that. Legettes speed is undeniable. He’s got really strong hands, which are needed to catch Allen passes. He will never get outmuscled. Think dk metcalfe. His route running and productivity are suspect. One year wonders scare me a bit. I think if we get one of these guys in round 1 I’d be thrilled…Thomas, Franklin, Mitchell, Leggette, or Worthy. Walker is interesting and may end up in this bucket by the time of the draft. I don’t really want McConkey. He doesn’t run fast and doesn’t really fit what McD and Beane talked about the other day. I think it’s def gonna be a speed guy in round 1. But you make a great point about Polk. I just worry about an early run in round 2 if we wait. We can’t afford to wait and hope. I don’t want sit on my couch and watch all the remaining guys go at the top of 2 before we get a shot at moving up. That’s why I think they should set their board with about 3-5 WRs that they would be comfortable taking between 20-40. A slight move up or trade down depending on where they grade them.
-
I think that would be fine though. With Diggs coming back, the pressure won’t be on the rookie to be the guy right away. We need to draft a sure fire 2 that has the potential to be a 1 in a year or two. Im this case, I think a guy like Franklin would meet all the requirements that Beane is looking for. They talked for quite a bit yesterday about explosive plays. A guy like Franklin or worthy brings that. Who else do you suggest?
-
Only if we take a different wr in the first. Roman Wilson is not the prized receiver we need to be targeting. He’d be a good second guy though.

Ryan O'Halloran - Bills should go Defense Heavy in draft
whorlnut replied to BCAS Baritone's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would probably become physically ill if they drafted defense in the first. That said…I don’t think it will happen. It’s time to build the offense around Allen. -
You don’t think Thomas, Mitchell, or Franklin could be a 1?

Was the Bills/Chiefs Game decided in Week 18?
whorlnut replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
The good thing in all this is it finally seems McD gets it. He talked for a while about throwing the ball and having explosive plays yesterday. You honestly have to be blind if you can’t see what this team lacks and what it needs more than anything else. -

I agree. Well said. The point is that if we have a defense that is top 8-12, that should be good enough if you give the offense the weapons it needs to make it unstoppable. The problem is…will McD sign off on this? I don’t know if he will be ok with having a “good enough” defense. -

That’s a good point. More reasons to load up on offense and make other teams try to keep pace with us.
