  1. The OP’s name is “Araiza Curse”. Enough said. He’s a troll. The Bills had absolutely nothing to do with what happened to Matt Araiza. No team in the league would have held into him. Trolling at its finest.
  2. We have a way more balanced roster than last year when we were SB favorites. How anyone can be pessimistic for this season compared to last is beyond me.
  3. Can’t recall the number of times I wondered if edmunds had tennis rackets for hands when the ball came his way.
  4. There is zero reason to subject von to injury early in the season. Let the knee heal more and rest. Truth of the matter is, we got him for January more than September.
  5. Great idea, OP! Let’s trade a guy who is better than our first rounder just to make room for him. You might be onto something!🙄
  6. Fair…but I was responding to the post about how McD thinks he can do more with less. That’s just not true. We have invested a ton on the d.
  7. Bull. Beane and McD has literally thrown every premium resource at the d…until this year. No way you can say that. How many first rounders are on the defense as opposed to the offense? I’ll wait… Tell me about the offense last year. Tell me about how we called brown and Beasley off their couches because we completely messed up WR. Tell me about our lack of oline that nearly got Allen killed. Don’t give me that sob story about the d.
  8. Not sure how anyone can see it as anything other than this.
  9. My only doubts with this lie in the fact that McD had a top d a few years ago…and then 13 seconds happened. He has a lot to prove this year.
  10. Another solid post. Good job, and I agree. My gripe for a long time has been the use of premium resources on the d, and I think others have had it with that as well. We had first rounder, after first rounder on the d and Allen was the only one on offense. Before Kincaid, Kelvin freaking Benjamin was the only first round offensive player Allen has played with. And he wasn’t even drafted by the bills. My point is that I think a lot of people have been pulled into thinking that defense is the key based on past draft capital usage. And when we lost a former first round pick on d, many became infatuated with jack campbell, because that’s how they thought they would replace edmunds with another first round pick. Think about it…two first round corners, first round DT, three first round edge players, two second round edge players. Either way…this is 2023. It’s a passing league. Give Allen weapons and protection. That’s priority number one. Period. Enough with the defense. We have the pieces. Now it’s up to McD to bring it all out.
  11. You are 100% right and I’ve been arguing this since all the lemmings followed Joe Marino over the cliff over not getting another mlb. It’s honestly a sacrifice tjay needed to be made to make this team more well rounded. For years, the o has been neglected in lieu of bolstering the d. Beane finally spent premium picks on the o and people are upset about it?
  12. Boom. I think the addition of ford and possible resurgence of settle and getting Jones back will be more critical for our d than a stinking mlb.
  13. Give me an elite secondary, butt kicking DT, or blitzing DE over a mlb any day of the week. Not even a question imo in todays pass happy league.
  14. Thank you. It’s not imo. It’s a different league. Give me an arse kicking DT any day of the week over a prototypical mlb.
  15. He’s not wrong. This mlb talk is insane imo. I can think of just about any other position on d that is more important in todays nfl.
  16. Agree. It’s obvious that kid has nose for the ball and is aggressive. Edmunds had everything but lacked a mean streak. Give Williams a chance and call it a day.
  17. Awesome post. Great job. Totally agree. I just don’t care as much as some people. It’s silly to me that people are so upset about it. We have a hall of famer on the edge, the best safety duo in the game, Tre freaking white, all pro Milano and people are upset about our mlb? Come on. It’s dumb imo.
  18. Personally, I think you are way off. Beane wanted to add to the offense at the expense of continuing to add to the d for once. And he did that. I can bet anything campbell wouldn’t have been the pick if he was available. But we’ve been down that road before, so I’ll let that go. I just feel like no one wants to admit that defense doesn’t matter as much when the stakes are high. Look at how we exited the playoffs recently. The d completely crapped itself in 13 seconds. That was even with edmunds who everyone is crying about losing. I’m sorry…I just don’t share the same opinions on the d. Let’s get it top10-15 and make the o unstoppable. Beane appears to have tried to do that this off-season. Id personally rather have a game wrecking DT like Chris Jones or Quinnen Williams. Those are the guys that make a huge difference on defense. I’m just not with any of the doomsday crowd at MLB. Sorry.
  19. MLB is not going to be what is the difference between an early playoff exit and the SB. You know what was last year? Offensive weapons. Beane addressed that and the line this off-season and chose to let it play out at MLB with what he already had. Kudos to him for doing right by his franchise qb. Imo, that’s what could be the difference between us winning and not winning the SB.
  20. Are you sure about that? Daboll had nothing to do with Shakir. He was a rookie last year in Daboll’s first year as HC.
  21. He literally grabbed his jersey. Not sure what you didn’t see. It’s gonna get called more often than not
  22. I wasn’t a fan of the Elam pick. I felt they took him because they felt they needed one. Still do. The fact that he doesn’t fit their scheme and late rounders are getting more burn makes it even more puzzling and frustrating. Last years draft was also pretty well stocked with day 2 corners and a few day 3 guys that made immediate impacts. Guys like Cam Taylor Britt and Tariq woolen come to mind. I hope Elam figured it out but at this point there seems to be obvious deficiencies that are keeping him out as the CB2.
  23. I honestly don’t believe this at all. I think he preferred Kincaid all along. He really like Davis at WR and has been pushing this type of TE for a few seasons now.
  24. Sam Mills starred in McDs defense in Carolina and was 5’9”, 229.
