I don’t disagree. I have been really down on McD since the 13 seconds. I feel he crapped his pants in a huge moment and doesn’t get enough criticism for it. I’m fact, the sight of him makes me a little queasy. That said…he’s our best option. He has helped build the team and deserves a lot of the credit. However…I wish he would push for more offensive help to take some of the burden off Allen.

Agree. They had two shots at it and didn’t use him on third or fourth downs. But they run him in blowout wins. Can’t make it up…

McDs precious defense can’t get off the field against Denver’s second string offense. Unreal. Still can’t get to the qb against second stringers.

This is what makes the pick even more confusing for me. McDs system calls for keeping receivers in front of the sticks and making solid tackles. Elam is a weak tackler that is grabby in coverage. Still not a fan of the pick, especially when a 6th rounder is getting more pub. But…that’s been sort of the sweet spot in the draft for Beane…4th to 6th round.

Yeah I know. Just saying that they panicked and took him instead of trading down and picking up more picks. There were good corners in round 2 and 3. They didn’t NEED to take Elam. Benford is more proof that McD can coach up DBs. That was my argument against a first round corner and I still stand by it. He will be going against other professional qbs and receivers every week. They will be scouting his weaknesses and exploiting them. Don’t act like this isn’t something to be concerned about.

But we HAD to take a first round corner. More proof that you don’t draft for need, especially in the first.

They SHOULD have the best defense due to all the money and high draft picks that they continue to dump into it.
