  1. Good point…forgot about Boettger
  2. Let me get this straight…IOL is a huge weakness and we cut some depth in favor of more dline? Yep…sounds about right…
  3. Beane isn’t the problem…it’s McD. He’s the one that wilts under pressure. Not the other way around…
  4. Agree…gotta wonder if he will be moved to safety next season to replace poyer? We all thought he was gonna replace edmunds but maybe it will poyer once it’s said and done.
  5. Nobody is “reveling” in anything. There are simply a lot of people that never thought this offense was as talented as the ranking showed. Our oline is average for the most part. We have no run game. Davis looks like a better 4th or 5th passing option, knox has disappeared for the most part. We all want the same thing. Some of us just see the path to getting there differently.
  6. So let me guess…we need to load up on more defense right?
  7. Exactly. The lack of overall talent on offense is starting to show up. Allen and Diggs are our entire offense. We need to upgrade most of the other positions.
  8. I don’t see how anyone can pass McKenzie off as a viable nfl starter, but Whatever I guess.
  9. I disagree. We haven’t had a run game in a few years. Things were “opened up” last year and the year before. The problem is the overall talent of the receiving corp outside of Diggs. Hence the reason for this thread.
  10. I guarantee you if keenum sees time, they will run more. They almost have to. It would be comical to see keenum slinging it to Diggs and the rest of our JAG receivers.
  11. Capable? Yes. Is he Allen? Not even close. Allen and Diggs are the offense and keenum offers no threat of running. Teams will dare him to throw and we don’t have a run game to fall back on. If Allen misses time, we will be anything but ok.
  12. Where did I say anything bad about Shakir? My argument is he needs to play more. My point on Bernard is that we could gone another route like IOL or offensive weapon. Instead we took a small LB. As far as corner…I think I mentioned it in my post that McD is great at developing corners and could have waited. We didn’t “need” to take one in the first like so many wanted. Another argument I had was the staffs belief in Dane Jackson. He very well could start opposite Tre when he comes back.
  13. That’s my point dude…Allen doesn’t trust McKenzie. That’s obvious.
  14. My problem with Bernard is if they decide to keep edmunds. Milano is under contract. Where does Bernard fit in? A third round pick should be a starter.
  15. Where has Shakir been since? Imo he needs to take over the slot or at least be more involved, but the coaches are hiding him for some reason.
  16. No…ask anyone…I was opposed to a first round corner just cause we needed one. And I wanted IOL to learn behind Saffold. McD is a master at developing DBs and I didn’t think we needed one in the first when their were other perceived needs on the roster. But…yeah Bernard didn’t play well, but you’re right he’s a rookie. Let’s see what he does going forward.
  17. I agree. But I’m not gonna get into that cause certain posters on this board criticize any posts that talk about what could have been picked instead.
  18. I disagree about talent on the offensive side. Yes we have a highly ranked offense, but beyond Diggs and Allen, what do we have? Davis has been playing like a JAG and a guy that could be kissing a second contract goodbye. Knox is not making plays and is being paid. The line is patched together and other than Dawkins and Morse is very average in talent. McKenzie is just not good in the slot. Horrible miscalculation in thinking he could replace Beasley who was Allen’s safety blanket. It’s clear Allen doesn’t trust him. Sorry…I just think we all need to take a second look at this offense and ask ourselves some tough questions on it’s overall talent level past our top 2 guys.
  19. Totally agree. I was very vocal from the beginning about hating the McKenzie signing. I figured it would eliminate any chance we had at getting a top receiver in the draft and it did. Then again…most of the top guys were gone, but sky moore was there. Shakir might pan out, but right now mckenzie is holding this team back.
  20. Agree. Beane needs to get McD out of his head and draft some stud linemen to protect Allen and open up running lanes. Enough with the one year deals and late picks. This qb deserves better. The high picks (mainly first and second rounders) on d are getting old. I’ve said this in other threads, but I fully expect Beane to take a safety this year in the first round if we lose poyer.
  21. Or maybe it’s a real issue…
  22. Maybe it’s dude to our qb doing most of the work and not having a great supporting cast too. Diggs is the only guy on this offense I wouldn’t consider upgrading.
  23. Maybe he would prioritize offense and the oline?
  24. I don’t disagree. The crappy effort at building a nasty line has caught up with them. This is what happens when you build a line with late rounders and short term deals. I really like Morse and Dawkins, but everyone else can be upgraded. The jury is out on Brown. He has all the athleticism in the world but he misses a ton of games. This regime needs to go offense heavy this off-season. We have built a good to great defense and now it’s time to do right by Allen and get him some more help. Thinking a guy like McKenzie would do well in an increased role in replacing Beasley was a huge mistake. That said…you can bet that the scouts are looking at all the top safeties in the next draft in anticipation we lose poyer. It’s gonna be rinse and repeat. A guy like Zach Wilson looked really good yesterday cause they schemed quick hitters for him. Our pass rush had no chance to get home cause the ball was out so quick.
  25. No…the personnel just isn’t very good outside of Diggs. Davis and knox have been underwhelming and McKenzie sucks.
