  1. We could get a stadium twice as big, nice, and expensive as SO-FI out in LA (the jewel of them all IMO) and there would still be no chance in hell of the Super Bowl coming to WNY.
  2. For real? That's interesting if there's any truth to it. Unfortunately, Terry fancies himself a "hockey guy" first and foremost. I still think with more Bills success and more Sabres failure, he could be persuaded to downsize and focus solely on the Bills--which is the real jewel in his sports ownership crown any way.
  3. To the OP: You pose a good question. Why aren't we trying to do more of this type of thing? Another interesting question: why has Matt Breida gone undressed for most of the season? Fans were calling for that the last few weeks as well; the coaching staff finally changed their position, and it seems to be working.
  4. Absolutely! Only fans love to come up with these emotion/psychology driven story lines. Here's what I think: Tre out for the year will be an enormous hole that will hurt us far more than it helps us via "the team becoming galvanized in his absence" or whatever nonsense the OP is suggesting. None of this type of stuff has anything to do with reality.
  5. People say that, but it assumes there is some master list comprised of perfectly correct, objective information, listing the players in order according to quality. There is no such list! My point is the Bills (and everyone else) have NO IDEA who the "best player" available is at any level. We need to address specific needs anyway. A DB is always a great idea; after QBs and WRs, it's arguably the most important position on the team. The OL needs attention as well, and I would prioritize that over DB at this point, notwithstanding the injury to Tre.
  6. That's b/c its filled with former BBMB people.
  7. Been both places; Savannah is a great place, though nothing like New Orleans IMO. I think of the great Tennessee Williams who famously said (allegedly): "America has only 3 cities: San Francisco, New York, and New Orleans. Everywhere else is Cleveland." You have to take NOLA as you find it. It's absolutely unique.
  8. Here we are just a few days away from the start of December. How about keeping a detailed weather log for all remaining home games in 4 places: Buffalo, Chicago, Green Bay, and Foxboro. I would suggest the weather will be equally CRAP in all places, on balance. And that's just a few places; it's not like the weather will be nice in Philadelphia, New Jersey, Baltimore, and many other places. And I haven't even mentioned Minneapolis, who magically gets removed from the conversation due to the dome. You want bad winter weather? Move to Minnesota for F's sake.
  9. Yeah but what the rest of the country doesn't know is that the lake effect stuff mostly pounds the snow belt which is not Buffalo at all. It's the South Towns and places like West Seneca, Orchard Park, East Aurora, etc. Of course ANYWHERE in WNY can be slammed with snow on occasion, but it's funny how the national media will start up with the "Buffalo Gets Slammed" story and I'll talk to my sister who lives right in the heart of the city....and she'll say "We have a light dusting of snow on the ground." As for GRAY SKY? NO DOUBT! That stuff will KILL YOU and WNY gets a ton of it. Then again, so does Seattle and lots of other places too.
  10. I said last off-season the No. 1 thing that would improve our team is the arrival of a stud running, catching, athletic TE in the Kelce mold. We may have found one, and he was already on the team! Knox keeps improving all the time.
  11. It's going to be as big and important of a regular season Bills game as we have seen in a couple of years. You can't overstate how huge it is. I will be a nervous wreck.
  12. I can't wait for this upcoming draft, and for the analysts to be describing that guy we just took by saying "This guy is your classic, mauling, Guard. He's extremely physical, great run blocker, good in pass blocking, he can do it all; he should be a blue chip OL in the NFL." And then we need to get bodies during free agency too.
  13. As a native WNYer, I have said for years: the rest of the country thinks typical BUFFALO weather is the type of thing that is, in reality, typical WATERTOWN type weather....which is WAY worse than Buffalo.
  14. I have to say, this seems so over-played. In December and January, MOST of this country is cold and crappy. I'm not sure it's any worse in Orchard Park, especially if there is no storm at the moment. Also: parts of this country (Green Bay, Chicago, Minneapolis) are FREAKING COLD in the winter time...they routinely get much colder air than Buffalo does, thanks to the lake. On a non-storm kind of day, I'd rather be in Buffalo than Green Bay or Chicago, with minus 3 outside air temps. It just doesn't get that cold in WNY typically.
  15. The ineligible man downfield can't be beyond the line of scrimmage at the time the ball is thrown, without blocking an opponent at the time of the pass. That's the infraction.
  16. Don't think so. We don't look close to being a SB contender. Speculating that he'll be gone for a long time/season is not "overreacting". The good news is we don't look close to being a SB contender, so this injury isn't going to kill our golden season, if that what some fans are afraid of.
  17. Sean McDermott Post Game PC: "Don't know at this point. We'll know more the next couple of days." "To be honest, I care for all of the players the same; we pray that he's back and we'll see where it goes."
  18. That crap goes both ways; the kool aid drinkers disappear when we get killed, too.
  19. Well, well, well.... BIG TURK NAILED IT. Honorable mention goes to frostbitmic and HOUSE, who were close!
  20. Aaiden Diggs. The kid had as much on-screen time today as Josh Allen.
  21. In many ways, this game reminds me of the first game against Miami. We won 35-0, and yet there were so many bad mistakes and sloppy play in that game. McDermott in his post-game PC said "We have a lot of work to do." I'll take the win right now though, big time.
  22. You kidding? The 2 Patriots game will decide who wins the division. Game is HUGE.
  23. The problem is, Tre is a huge part of what makes the secondary great. I love the safeties though too.
  24. Would like to see us get into the 40s..that would be ugly.
