That's brilliant, man. 👏

So the whole premise of this thread was to basically suggest we might be playing on MNF--if the Chargers win. But we play on Saturday night at 8:15pm, and the Chargers lost. Can we let this die in peace now?

It would be nice if the TV broadcast crew would comment on useful information like this and show us the heater (if there is one) or tell us the process for keeping balls warm. Instead we get weird on-screen cartoon graphics that are just stupid and presumably designed to entertain an 8 year old. ESPN always does that stupid graphics thing too on MNF with little cartoons and what not. TV sports broadcasting in America is just horrible.

It's easy to keep balls dry and rotate them in for rain games; not sure how you keep them warm. I'm not aware of any heater or process for doing that. And if they did do that, Jim Kelly wouldn't have gone off on the problems with a cold ball. Maybe it's changed since he played?

Bills Play Saturday Night at 8:15pm on CBS
Nextmanup replied to Nextmanup's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don't be so sure. Look at what the Pittsburgh front 7 did to US! Would be AWESOME to see them somehow knock KC out of the playoffs for us! It will be a fun watch at least until KC goes 3 scores up on them. LOL I'll be pulling for Pittsburgh like never before. And I hate that franchise. -
If its in the F-ing TEENS at game time, the weather will most certainly have an impact on the game. Jim Kelly was talking about this the other day. He knows a thing or two about trying to QB an NFL football team in Orchard Park, NY in bad weather. Ball gets too hard; it won't compress; hard to squeeze; hard to throw; hard to hold; hard to catch. We've probably all goofed around with a football in cold weather; the thing is like a brick. The kicking game will be greatly impacted too.

Meanwhile…on the Patriots Board /Update: thread deleted
Nextmanup replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think this board wants to engage in a battle of wits with Boston sports fans. We'll lose. LOL -
This just adds fuel to the fire: I don't expect Beasley to back with the team next year. It's like things have broken down between him and management at this point, perhaps irreparably.

Bills fans complaining about coaching...
Nextmanup replied to HerdMenatlity1's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tolls huh? And then the trolls come out in threads like this saying "I told you so" with all the rah-rah kool-aid krap. The general atmosphere at this forum is utterly toxic. Makes you wonder who your typical Bills fan is! I know lots of Bills fans who straight up won't interact here b/c it makes them feel dirty. -
It seems like the NFL sticks lousy teams with those games, for the most part, knowing the disruption the travel has on any team. I'm hoping we are immune from one of those games for a while. They are the worst thing in the world.

I give you high marks for trying, but with this crowd what you're doing is like trying to nail Jello to a tree. Lots of folks are very vocal about how they find analytics or any type of intelligent analysis useless. Maybe we just didn't want those games badly enough to win by more? Perhaps the team wasn't tough enough to win by more! 🤫

Should Something Be Done To Fix The Pro Bowl?
Nextmanup replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall
Where there is money to be had, the NFL will be there. For me, the whole concept of "pro bowl" or "all star game" is a weird, dated, old fashioned thing that shouldn't exist anymore. I find it pretty bad in all sports. I think kids like them; I used to enjoy the whole thing when I was a teenager in the 1980s, and remember getting all excited at the number of Bills who made the Pro Bowl back when we were great in the late '80s and '90s. -
The good and the bad (just one each) for you in this game
Nextmanup replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree it's crazy to skew reality into this being a good game for Josh--it wasn't. The question is how much blame should he take for it? And how much was caused by the wind. Right after the game one of the Bills players (Poyer? Can't remember now) said the wind in the game was AS BAD as the MNF game against the Patriots. Like it was a major factor, all game long. If that's true, it takes Josh off the hook in my mind. -
Calling it now: Devin will be a 1000 yard back this year
Nextmanup replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
And an extra game to try to get there, too. -
Lots of us called this. I called it 5 minutes after we LOST to Tampa Bay and lots of folks here wanted to start rebuilding the team and/or fire McDermott...and I got a bunch of laughing emoji things on my post! That was in the Tampa post-game thread. This fanbase has a memory 1 game long, most of the time. Thank God they don't have any say whatsoever in team decisions.

Should Something Be Done To Fix The Pro Bowl?
Nextmanup replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the game itself should have disappeared a long time ago. If they want to name a "pro bowl" team as a way of honoring exceptional players around the league, that's fine, but get rid of the game. I haven't even thought of watching one in probably 30 years. -
Looks like temps will be in the 20s at game time and there is a decent chance of up to 3 inches of snow accumulating throughout the day. The weather will probably be pretty lousy for the game, but pray it isn't windy. The worse the weather the more Josh's advantage over Jones is eroded.

Yep, but it's worse at night when the sun goes down. -

They're playing at 4:30 on a Sunday. That game will have as many viewers as any time slot of the weekend.
