Peterman really needs to be off this team.

How many coaches/GMs survive a tank?

They only tanked in the playoffs -
Is anyone pulling for Nathan Peterman?
Phil The Thrill replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep same here -
Nathan Peterman gets a lot of hatred from the Bills fan base and is a laughing stock in the media. He’s looked totally out of his league in the games he’s played in the NFL. This may be unpopular but I am pulling for Peterman and hope for a miracle on Sunday that he can turn things around. I know it probably won’t happen, but from all reports he’s a pretty good guy and while he’ll never be a star in the NFL, I’m hoping a few good performance can help jumpstart a decent career as a backup QB

John Wawrow on the QB situation
Phil The Thrill replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’ve wondered about this too. While McDermott doesn’t really answer questions, the media has to expect that and be prepared to ask a follow up question. I never understand why they don’t do that. To Warrow’s original point, I do think the Bills should have been more aggressive in finding a veteran either through FA or a trade. I do agree that the options were limited -
McD - Allen isn't too far off in throwing again
Phil The Thrill replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Im thinking the week after the bye might be the most logical place for him start. Maybe the week after. Schedule actually gets a bit easier -
I know that rule changes this year have led to a lot of penalties of defensive players for helmet-to-helmet hits. But if I recall, werebt offensive players supposed to be penalized too for leading with their helmet. Case and point - watch Mike Devlin run and directly lead with his helmet. You’ll see him concuss Tremaine Edmunds and Also hit Matt Milano in the head as well - which looked pretty bad watching it back. You can see Devlin almost using his helmet as a weapon Great to see the #NFL is still penalizing players on both sides of the ball for leading with the helmet... I guess I don’t get why you try to protect players on offense from helmet-to-helmet hits but don’t protect players on defense from same offense.

Which Trash-Heap QB Would You Have Signed?
Phil The Thrill replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sal on WGR said that Chad needs to be out of Buffalo. He has too many bad connections around Buffalo and will likely find trouble. He needs a fresh start and it’s really too bad Denver didn’t work out -

I would seriously take Chad Kelly. He’s a better prospect than a lot of #2 QB’s but there has to be a reason why Denver released him so quickly and why other teams won’t touch him. I agree...I thought that Miami should have started MM over Cutler last year. I also think he would be a better option than Anderson -
Sean McDermott is Out of Answers
Phil The Thrill replied to Straight Hucklebuck's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Right - but to his defense many NFL coachez do the same sort of thing. Rex was one of the few that actually answer honestly and ended up shooting himself in the foot -
Is our defense actually good?
Phil The Thrill replied to uticaclub's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Disagree....I think if our QB was a Ryan Fitzpatrick, Josh McCown, or Teddy Bridgewater this would be a 5-3 team. Also many NFL analysts are praising the Bills defense and the next gen stats evaluate the Bills D strongly. They are a good defense -
IMO Sammy is an underachiever. Not a #1 and never lived up to his hype. Still, declining the option on him was a big mistake. Even if they wanted to trade him, the 5th year option would only have driven up his value even higher. And if they wanted to move on after year 5, they could have always tagged and traded him like a Jarvis Landry. Again, you can fault The Pegulas for keeping Whaley around as a lame duck. If Beane comes on in Jan, we could be looking at a much different roster

Golden Tate traded to Eagles for a 3rd
Phil The Thrill replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Looks like they won’t make a move for McCoy. Can’t see them giving up a 3rd and 4th this season for 1 rental and and a 30 year old RB -

In 2018, you don’t have defense like the 2001 Baltimore Ravens. Every “good” defense in the NFL gives up yardage and points. The Bills defense is very good and when you consider how little support they have, it makes you feel even more for them. Also I don’t buy the conservative argument. When they were playing bad, Baltimore didn’t exactly take it easy on them -
They should’ve picked up his 5th year option. There’s no doubt Sammy would have jumped at the chance to leave Buffalo when FA starts and there’s no way in hell he would be worth the price tag. As he demonstrates time and time again, Sammy is not a # 1 WR and should not be paid like one. He is a very good decoy though Sammy wanted the ball in Buffalo. I can’t really blame him for that. He was embarrassed that players taken lower than him in the draft (and considered lesser WR’s) outperformed him both on the stat sheet and on the field. I will will never buy into the fact that Sammy that Sammy is one of the best WR’s in the league. He’s on a second....maybe a third tier. Not a #1 WR

Bills Rumored to want a 4th for McCoy
Phil The Thrill replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
4th round pick seems very fair. Carlos Hyde was dealt for a 5th. Never made a Pro Bowl or rushed for 1,000 yards -
Jordan Phillips: RETAIN the BEAST.
Phil The Thrill replied to EasternOHBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Very good chance of this happening. He is a good fit for the defense. -

I agree...Crooked Mike Rodak said that he reminds him a lot of CJ Spiller (or maybe a Willis MaGahee before him). He danced around in the backfield when there wasn’t any where to go and ended up losing a lot yardage -
If Anderson is sidelined due to injury......
Phil The Thrill replied to longtimebillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anyone who thinks the Bills are willing to trade a significant draft asset for a player under contract for one year is mistaken. They know they are taking this year and won’t make a big trade to win a few more games. Also so there is no way in hell they would bring Tyrod back -
Bills need to build around their centerpiece.
Phil The Thrill replied to Tatonka68's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not really....the difference is Peterman is among consideration for worst QB of all time and Anderson was out of the NFL 2 weeks ago. -

Phil The Thrill replied to Tatonka68's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Right....the difference is the other 3 were accurate QB’s in college. Allen never was. Also the offensive production on the other 3 teams is much better than the Bills. This is my concern. -
Brandon Beane deserves to be fired tomorrow
Phil The Thrill replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People can say “fire Beane. Fire McDermott. Fire Daboll.” None if this happen tomorrow and probably won’t happen in January. The one guy I can see getting the axe is Denny Crossman. -

My only concern is his accuracy. He’s never been an accurate QB in college or the NFL. Also the game seemed to be moved pretty fast for him.
