  1. This is a very interesting take.... Problem is when McDermott was hired, Reich was not the commodity he was after winning the SB. I believe he was fired as OC in San Diego, and while respected, he was hardly considered a rising star fir a HC position. I always thought he was a quality coach and I know from experience he’s a great person. At least he was 20 years ago and I’m sure he still is
  2. He was not good for two weeks in a row. Best thing he did was get a lucky bounce on a punt inside the 20
  3. I agree....that guy that said Colton was “excellent” is out of his mind. He has not punted well.
  4. Remember after the Bills 10-3 playoff loss, Jags DE Yannick Ngakoue claimed that Richie Incognito called him a racist term? Eric Wood, Dion Dawkins and Incognito himself denied it. Yannick made these claims and said he “couldn’t remember” what racist language Incognito said. I remember reading that Incognito and Yannick made up at the AFC Pro Bowl. Still the NFL said they were investigating the matter. Then nothing happened. No more news on the matter. What exactly happened? Did the NFL determine it was BS? Or did they just drop the investigation when Richie lost his mind?
  5. He had one good punt which was downed inside the 5. His 6 punts were far from excellent. I think he has a 40 yard average which is not good. He has struggled since returning to the roster
  6. I agree but the difference is Castillo and Culley have connections to McDermott. Crossman did not.
  7. My understanding with Rapoport’s comment was that Doug was safe for next season too.
  8. One thought that went through my mind yesterday: “Wow the Bills special teams have been horrible.” Stephen Hauschka’s been $$$ but every other. aspect of special teams has struggled including punting, kick returns and kick coverage. There were several times this year when the ST’s significantly contributed to a Bills loss. Does anyone think Crossman could be fire. Remember, he’s the last holdover from the Rex Ryan regime. He doesn’t have a connection to McDermott like a lot of other coaches do. I’m wondering if he suffers the same fate as another non-connected coach who struggled last year - Mr. Rick Dennison.
  9. Rapoport is reporting that Marrone is in no danger of being fired. I think this is atrocious and if I were a Jags fan, I’d be fuming. I think Doug really botched this season. How can he not be on the hot seat when a Super Bowl contender goes 3-8? Pathetic
  10. Make no mistake about it....St. Doug is trying to save his ass
  11. The problem is the Bills have a lot of losses in the AFC, I think even at 9-7 winning a tiebreaker will be really hard. Playoffs are pretty much out of the question, but I’m just hoping to see continued improvement from Allen
  12. It’s just a funny bird walk that Joe and Matt went on during the Bills Beat from yesterday. It was a funny conversation that I thought would be fun to share.
  13. Yes! I agree which I would think McDermott would be in consideration for toughest coach. His wrestling experience and the fact that he’s in great shape make him a contender. Vrabel and Lynn are decent choices too. I think Ron Rivera is too old and broken down to fight.
  14. Only thing against Ron is his physical condition. He does look like a bit strong guy but one who is feeling the aches and pains of being a former LB
  15. Tomlin was Fairburn’s pick. He does look like a fighter though he seems a bit out of shape. Plus McDermott has a wrestling background where he could wear him down. I think this matchup is a toss up
  16. And now for a ridiculous but very entertaining topic....I was listening to Joe B and Matt Fairburn discuss the brawl during the Bills/Jags football game. At one point the conversation goes off the rails, they joke about a fight breaking out between Sean McDermott and Doug Marrone. They say that McDermott could easily beat Marrone in a fight which leads them down the path of discussing whether McDermott is the toughest coach in the NFL in a legit fight, and if he isn’t, which coaches could possible beat him. Joe B believes that McDermott might very well be the toughest coach in the NFL. Fairburn thinks Mike Tomlin could take him because he looks mean. Both men agree that McDermott would beat Doug Marrone. They also threw out a few other names that could challenge McDermott Sean McVay: Young but too easy-going Gregg Williams: Old but crazy, could pull a lead pipe in the fight Ron Rivera: Looks like a tough guy Steve Wilkes: Looks like he could crack some heads Jack Del Rio: A formidable foe for McDermott but is now out of the NFL. Bill Belichk: Not beating anyone in a fight. Tom Coughlin: Old and mean but not a tough guy It’s a hilarious segment that you can check out below it’s around 41 minutes or so: So what do you think? What other coaches could give McDermoty a run for his money and who he destroy?
  17. Check Jerry’s twitter feed from today. It seems as though he’s resorted to trolling fans like Dan O’Shaugnessey in Boston. Kinda sad
  18. I can’t figure out what the deal is. I do think part of the problem is the blocking. He doesn’t have the space he needs to make players miss. The other problem is his reluctance to hit the hole hard like Chris Ivory does.
