  1. The OP does have a point. 2 weeks straight where the defense did not close out a game in crunch time and allowed the opposition to score a TD. I think there may be something to it, but the past few weeks have shown that this defense has been dreadful in the clutch
  2. Its looking more and more like that’s a possibility
  3. How do you explain the other games this year when the ST’s was terrible then? So true... to his credit he was able to put together a few good years with the Bills
  4. If it’s a promotional thing, I love the idea of hiring Steve Tasker as Interim Special Teams Coach LOL Yep they were a huge factor. Score should have been higher in the 1st half. But the Bills got outmatched on the OL and DL. Credit the Jets for being more physical and controlling the game in the second half.
  5. I don’t think so. It is not McDermott’s style to fire coaches during the season. Plus, the team is already out of the playoffs. His job is safe. If Crossman gets fired, it’s after the season. I fully expect it
  6. Yes I think he’s a good coach. The talent level on the Bills was considered to be among the worst in the NFL. He lost today, largely because of special teams and because his OL and DL got owned today. Also star CB Tre White was owned as well.
  7. Listen to McDermott’s post game presser. He sounds angry at Crossman and the Bills special teams. I think that Crossman is a goner at the end of year.
  8. If I’m Vlad, I ask for my release. Guaranteed that teams would pick up him up. Line play in 2018 is dreadful. Vlad is at least slightly average.
  9. How bad are things when your starting OG is healthy scratch in December?!?!
  10. I find it facinating that Vlad, yet again, is not active. I also don’t remember hearing that he was injured. So is Vlad hurt or are the Bills giving him the Kelvin Benjamin treatment?
  11. Funny but when has Charles Clay ever lives up to his hype for the Bills? Maybe once in the Christmas Eve game in Miami. That’s it. I’m thinking he bounces back with a 2 catch performance for 14 yards
  12. Believe it or not, the mock drafts are already coming out. Of course in December before Bowl games, Senior Bowl, scouring combines and player visits, these mean nothing. But there are a few trends that I’ve seen emerging based on players which are thought of to be high prospects: - This Draft has a lot of defensive talent rated high. - There’s not 1 overwhelming top prospect at QB (like a Baker Mayfield last year), but several “maybe” players which could high. - Several teams are expected to reach for a QB given their current situation (again this could change through FA/trades) - There is some first round talent at WR, OL, and TE but DL and QB may be a higher priority for teams. So given these early trends and the need for the Bills to improve talent on offense, would you support the idea of the Bills trading down to acquire an additional late 1st or 2nd round pick? Or would you stand pat (I’m assuming they’ll be drafting toward the top of the middle of the draft) and take a CB or defensive layer who might be able to start on day 1?
  13. That’s very much debatable considering that Kelly and Thurman are Hall of Famers. Isn’t that the definition of Elite? Yes this. Actually the Jacksonville and Pittsburgh games are the only two playoff games that I can remember thinking that Kelly “lost” for the team. This stat is garbage.
  14. Explain....because the stats and the scoreboard say otherwise
  15. Honesty, I didn’t even know about the religious affiliation but I could care less. It has nothing to do with the quality of the chicken product. Chic-Fil-A is delicious. Period
  16. Well to his credit, he did have a great season in 1988. It was a career year and also the year the Bills won the AFCE in many years. He did make several big kicks that year, so I think that endeared himself to Bills fans. The problem was he was not that great the rest of his career. I feel that during those years teams stuck with players and coaches for a longer amount of time. This is probably why they kept him 2 seasons too long.
  17. Lauren Hall... I’d be surprised if she doesn’t take a job in the Buffalo media soon. Very talented and a great look for TV
  18. Disagree on Norwood. He struggled mightily in 1990 and was far from his 1988 Pro Bowl form. The warning signs were there that Norwood was on the decline in 1990. In 1991 season it was blatantly obvious. Notice how he never kicked for another team after his release? Teams noticed.... he was done
  19. Check this classic game out. I was pretty young when it was played so this was pretty cool to watch. The Bills and Dolphins rivalry at its finest. So a few thoughts from this game: The atmosphere and energy in the old Rich Stadium was electric. Tons of people everywhere. Kelly and his receivers were at the top of their game. Andre Reed did a ton of damage to Louis Oliver in the middle of the field. The “Buffalo winter” advantage is a myth. Dan Marino and the warm weather proved that snowy conditions have very little impact at slowing a good offense and QB. Nate Odomos was just PNWED by Mark Duper time and time again. Don Shula was somewhat overrated as a HC toward the end of his career. Scott Norwood should have been replaced prior to the 1990 season. He was not good. You see the short FG that he kicked barey made it through the uprights and the ball traveled sideways. This came back to bite them in the arse at SB25. Bills D-line could get no pressure on Mario. Maybe it’s the field? Yet the receivers seemed to have no problem running on the snow. Andre Reed ran some awesome crossing routes. Disappointed that we didn’t see the clip of a dejected Marino nearly crying on the sideline when time was running down in the game. What are are your thoughts?
  20. You gotta admit though, Chic-Fil-A at the stadium would have been pretty awesome
