  1. Heavy reliance upon the use of technology to gain intelligence began during George Bush Sr's term and progressively worsened during the Clinton's term. HUMINT takes years and sometimes decades to foster. Without credible HUMINT, GWB was flying somewhat blind. Not an opinion, just a fact.
  2. Support the war or not....if the U.S. pulled out right now, it would create an enormous vacuum. It would be chaos.
  3. The telling question: To Wisconsin or away from Wisconsin?
  4. I'm fully agree that you are entitled to your opinion - heck that's what America represents - freedom. I would never deny anyone their thoughts or opinions. I have family that have fought in every war going back to WWI and have family in the Middle East now. My opinion (which you have every right to disagree with) is that you truly cannot stand behind the troops 100% when you do not support their cause - aka, You can't have your cake and eat it too. How disheartning it is for these guys and gals to be over there and read about the protests, op eds stating that it's a war for oil, etc. - Once again, these people have a right to their opinions, but if that's your idea of support - no thanks. I honestly may be so jaded in my beliefs that I'm not seeing something. Let me ask you this - how would you explain your view to an individual getting ready to deploy overseas in harms way? Secondly, do you think the individual would think you are supporting them?
  5. That's great - Hey soldier, I'm behind you 100%, but....errrr......when you go out every day and risk your life and see your buddies losing limbs and dying, it's absolutely meaningless - but hey, I'm behind you 100%, here's some sunscreen and lip balm.
  6. This is truly going to be an excellent adventure.
  7. I thought Ron Edwards looked pretty darn good last year. If I had my druthers I would go with Edwards but then try to pick up a stud DE. Because as someone mentioned before, our pass rush stinks.
  8. Doesn't seem fair not to include fumbles lost and sacks taken when your considering Drew.
  9. Here's Pollard's Stats (from CBSportsline) Statistics Year Team G GS Recpt Yd Avg Lg TD 2004 IND 15 15 32 339 10.6 31 6 2003 IND 14 13 40 541 13.5 70 3 2002 IND 15 15 43 478 11.1 41 6 2001 IND 16 16 47 739 15.7 86 8 2000 IND 16 14 30 439 14.6 50 3 1999 IND 16 12 34 374 11.0 33 4 1998 IND 16 11 24 309 12.9 44 4 1997 IND 16 6 10 116 11.6 28 0 1996 IND 16 4 6 86 14.3 48 1 PRESEASON FANTASY OUTLOOK Pollard is one of the more talented tight ends in the league. He posted his fourth consecutive season with 400-plus yards in 2003, despite missing two games due to a knee injury. Pollard also excels as a blocker, but that will have a negative impact on his value this season. Designated to block on the line of scrimmage in certain sets, Pollard will lose receptions to Dallas Clark. The limited number of productive tight ends in the league still makes him valuable, so owners should consider him in the middle rounds as a No. 1. (Updated 6/14/04)
  10. Scarf comment cracked me up!! I'm with ya......I don't want anymore patsy rejects.
  11. Ok - if this get's done there will be 28 regular season games. Will the schedule be as if the hockey season was just starting or will it be some altered schedule? With only 28 games - how many you play on the road and who you are playing is going to make a HUGE difference. If hockey's on, we are 100% going to the playoffs. DirecTV better offer a damn discount.
  12. Man, I would love to get a tall WR. Someone like Tyrone Calico or that schmuck from Jacksonville who skyed over all four of our players.
  13. Buy a $10,000.00 camera so he can see what the he!! is behind him - it's still cheaper than having two people in the plow. I'm sorry but if the police and sheriiff can drive around by themselves, a plow driver can do the same. Too many people in Buffalo being subsidized by the gov't. Get rid of welfare.
  14. Great Read - Thanks!! I just hope he doesn't run backward in too many games next year - doh!!!
  15. I know exactly how I feel about this. I feel the same amount of excitement in seeing Drew leave as when I found out he was coming to Buffalo. Great guy - good luck to him where ever he ends up!
  16. I'm with ya. I know there's going to be a protest, but I would actually take Jeff Garica - if he's cheap enough.
  17. Just out of curiosity...does anyone know what our strength of schedule was for '04? Looking at '05, I think our schedule is going to be a heck of a lot harder. If JP gets it done against tough opponents, I'll be all the more impressed.
  18. No argument there - Drew is the team leader......in sacks and int's!!!
  19. Not as much as I'm laughing watching your boy Drew get run out of town.
  20. I would love to get a Kurt Warner, Garcia or Flutie type guy - CFL, AFL or Europe. Does anyone watch these leagues and is there anyone worth considering? I just hate picking up re-treads on the NFL scrap heap.
  21. Given the fact that if we can't find a trading partner Henry will be back on our bench, I think TD is going out of his way to be very cooperative with him.
  22. Durability issue because Vincent Landed on his leg? Sorry, but that one doesn't cut it. J.P. hasn't impressed you much this year? He hardly threw any balls. The only game he played bad in was in NE when we were getting it handed to us. I would think most people would give him a bye his first season unless he is playing absolutely horrible. However, if he was the starter in pre-season and started all the games for us, I think he would have done just as well as Drew. We don't need a Messiah with our D and special teams - hell, I'll take a Dilfer. We just need someone that doesn't make stupid mistakes and can create plays when things break down. Not to mention - doesn't choke when it's time to nut up.
  23. Take heart KurtGodel77 and remember that the majority of liberals act on emotion, not intellect.
