Are the Jaguars a lock for the one seed?
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Trevor Lawrence is the real deal and that defense is extremely underrated. I don’t think they’ll get the 1 seed though, but will certainly be a top 4 team. -
Why did Isaiah McKenzie fail as starting Slot WR?
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
That’s just too small of a sample size to judge a receiver. -
Mitch Morse Talks With Pat McAfee

Pat McAfee the ESPN sell out -
With McD calling the plays, a healthy Von eventually, Rousseau’s steady projection, Leonard Floyd + a Hopefully a more inspired Ed Oliver. Not to mention a healthy Tre White this defense is going to close the gap between teams like Philly & San Fran. There is so much to look forward to this year and Buffalo is gonna start looking more like the team you saw the first half of the 2022 season.

Bills/Chiefs week 6 on NFL ntwk right now
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Bills fan since 87's topic in The Stadium Wall
That was a great call. My personal favorite from Nantz was the Indy playoff game. “Allen. He’s a runner. No, he’s a thrower! Touchdown Dawson Knox!” -
Look how badly the defense fell apart when he went out during the 2nd half of the Vikings game. I felt like he finally started putting it together last season. Expect much more completions over the middle next year.

What a joke. Should’ve spent that money on Edmunds ! 😡

His and family's financial future greatly depends on this season. I would be doing everything possible to ensure I have a good one.

There is only one team that wins the SB. All playoff games are big games and 13/14 of those teams end up losing them. I'm not sure what really constitutes a "bad" playoff loss from a good one? Should all of those coaches who lost be fired? I don't think so. I think if you're FO gives you a chance to challenge for the title every year then you should hold onto them, upgrade where they fell short, and push for one next year. I think it would be incredibly short-sighted to get rid of the 2nd best front office in the franchise's history. If they can't get it done within the next 5 years then I am with you 100%, but it's just too early. Too many people bought into the SB hype last year and placed enormous expectations on a team that still has some glaring issues on the offensive & defensive lines.

Why did Isaiah McKenzie fail as starting Slot WR?
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
IDK about that. A perfectly healthy Shakir should've been used more and I'm sure 90% of this board would agree. McD needs to start taking chances w/ talented rookies. -
Bills to workout WRs Preston Williams, Marcell Ateman
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to The Jokeman's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane does deserve some criticism though. He's made some serious errors for critical positions. I'm sure he would admit that as well. Guys like Epenesa, Oliver, Basham, Cody Ford, Roger Saffold, etc are living proof of that. You can't base your whole resume on the Josh Allen pick. This entire team lacks the physicality needed for winter football which should be one of Buffalo's strengths. Imagine having a defense like the Eagles or 49ers. Josh Allen with that cast is a recipe for a dynasty. Beane is a good GM, but some serious improvement needs to be made and his picks (especially on the defensive line) need to start panning out more. -
Someone made a thread about Beane's biggest off-season blunder. Well, this is it right here. You're offensive line is only as strong as it's weakest link. This proves it right here. SafFOLD folded in the biggest game of the year. That was a surefire TD to Diggs that would've greatly swayed the momentum of this game. So glad both Saffold & Frazier are history. Addition by subtraction.

Why did Isaiah McKenzie fail as starting Slot WR?
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
McKenzie wasn't used correctly IMO. He was a great "change of pace" slot guy and that is where he should've remained. What happened to those awesome Jet Sweeps we used to run? He was amazing at those. I think some players shine better in a limited role and I don't think Dorsey was creative enough to use McKenzie's strengths. He put him out there as a traditional slot which he never was his entire career. -
Yes, but the head coach has to give the green light before they make that call. Especially in crucial situations like that. Dumb call by Farwell, Incredibly dumb calls by Frazier, but McD could’ve vetoed either one. I love the guy and don’t want him to go anywhere, but one of the worst head coaching displays I’ve ever seen.
-
Rousseau is going into his 3rd season which is crucial for his position and showed flashes last year. He doubled his sacks from 4 to 8 in year 2. I fully expect him to add to that total and show more consistency. Some players just need more time to develop. Rousseau has showed steady improvement IMO

SI dumping all over McDermott at #22
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Toyo321's topic in The Stadium Wall
Once he wins a SB McDermott will be bullet proof, but until then there will always be pressure. This rating is BS to be honest though. He’s much better than that -
Who gives a *** ? He could be dating Ru Paul and I couldn’t care less as long as he’s performing on the field.
-
Off topic sorta, but what the heck was the point of adding Hines? Especially w/ the stupid new kickoff rule. If they wanna protect Josh then Dorsey better figure out how to use the plethora of RBs he has. There’s a lot of Talent there. Hines should be used in a Marshall Faulk type role. It’s just a lot of talent that was wasted last season. I’ll cut Dorsey some slack being a rookie, but he needs to take the gigantic weight of the offense off Josh’s shoulders or he won’t last until his mid-30s. Rant over

Beane's biggest blunder?
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Sammy Watkins' Rib's topic in The Stadium Wall
I credit Diggs for the elevation of Allen into the elite category. I don’t think he would’ve hit the numbers he did without him. Idk why there is this subset of posters that constantly sleeps on Diggs who will eventually go down as the best/most productive WR in Bills history. And idk why this doesn’t get brought up more often, but the guy has missed a total of 1 game since coming to Buffalo. -
That Pick at the end of the Vikings game last year in OT was horrific. At this point I don’t think he’ll ever totally clean up that part of his game, but it’s what makes him great at the same time so I can live with it. He can certainly cut down on them if Beane can put a better cast on the field so JA doesn’t have to constantly overcompensate . A lot of great QBs have had plenty of WTF moments. Nobody is perfect.

A really good read on Damien Harris

YPC doesn’t tell all. There are so many other factors. How good is he in pass pro? Pass catching? Short yardage? Special teams? Etc etc. -
