AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Buffalo can run against the Ravens, they are going to decimate the Chiefs. Everyone thinks this is going to be a Josh Allen superstar game. He’s going to have to make a couple huge plays, but I really hope to God that Brady doesn’t stray away from what’s been winning them games the whole postseason. Cook/Davis/Johnson need to be utilized in the run & pass game. Our RBs are by far our most stacked position. Don’t abandon that game plan unless they find themselves down 2 TDs or more. The one thing I DO want the Bills to do is play action pass on their first play to catch KC off guard. -
In all fairness, starting at 1 opposed to the 12 is a big big difference.

This is a good hire. Pete Carroll is gonna establish a winning culture there. He’s old but he still has plenty of life and looks great for his age.

How much time have you spent thinking about this game.
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Stroke 17's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean it’s the biggest game since I’ve been alive. All the countless hours posting on here, the old school BuffaloBills.com message board, all the podcasts, the arguments, stupid sports shows, etc. All the time I spend on Bills related stuff. Everything comes down to this. We may not make it to the AFC Championship for another few years. The AFC is so freaking stacked and we got lucky we don’t have to go through the Bengals. The bottom line is this is the year. We have some players out, but are still relatively healthy considering it’s the 20th game. Buffalo HAS to win. I don’t want to think about the possibility that they don’t. This forum is going to be upside down. I think Buffalo is playing w/ some real magic & swagger this year. I said if we made it past the Ravens then the Chiefs defense will be a cakewalk. Score 27+ and we win. We just need the defense to make some key stops and a turnover or 2. I’m gonna go Buffalo 27 - 24. Allen and the Bills lead a long time consuming drive to run down the clock and Bass redeems himself w/ the GW FG as time expires. Buffalo Bills are headed New Orleans to face the Eagles in SB LIX. Book it -
I think Taron Johnson is gonna have a big game.

How do people load photos on here so easily? Every time I do it always says the file size is too big
-
Time for Cole Bishop to show why he was drafted so high. It’s his 20th game. I’m hoping he’s learned something. Kelce is old, but him and Gray need to be accounted for. I hope they lay some shots on him over the middle

Yes. It all sorta makes sense now when you start putting things together. When you are in such a masculine environment like professional football is must be a living hell going through life closeted. I hope he finds peace and the courage to live life as his true self, but beating a guy on an elevator because he rejected you is not the way to go about things. No I think he tried finger blasting Josh actually
-
Something definitely happened in Buffalo. Maybe he tried grabbing Josh’s ***** edit: I can’t say D O N G ??? This video was posted 13 days ago so possibly

😂😂 Don’t shoot the messenger. It came up on my YouTube feed. I guess Stefon Diggs made a move on one of Drakes friend/stylist & marketing manager who denied his advances. Then Diggs sent his brother and a couple of goons later that night to beat the guy up on an elevator in order to keep his mouth shut. There is footage of it. One of the most bizarre stories I’ve heard in recent memory. I don’t really care either way, but if true, it could explain his anger issues.

The national media narrative since the Bills won
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills are going to take the trauma they experienced in the past and use it as fuel to come out swinging. They aren’t going to put the game in Bass’ hands this time around. Just like the regular season. They know they gotta go for KO. Hopefully they learned something from the Ravens game as well to not let the Chiefs hang around in the 3rd quarter. You’re absolutely right. It’s going to be a dog fight. We’ve been talking about Josh putting the cape on all playoffs and he hasn’t needed to do that. This time we are going to need a big game from him. -
The national media narrative since the Bills won
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
They aren’t the better team. Turnovers aren’t a lucky stat. Buffalo has been forcing them all season. That’s talent and preparation. The Bills didn’t even use their “queen” piece in Josh Allen. They had plenty of more tools in the bag if the Ravens happened to get that 2 point conversion. I don’t even think Baltimore would’ve sniffed OT. I expect they would’ve made the Ravens use their time out, take a little time off the clock, and then drove up the field quickly to get in FG range. -
Yep. If anything, it will sell tickets. I actually think it’s smart. These guys aren’t great on their own (I do like Vrabel though) but they function well as a unit. I’m sure Vrabel will have a direct like to Bellichick as well. Drake Maye is going to need stability & experience on the coaching side of things. Right now, his development is more important than wins or losses. He needs to keep showing progress. I came away very impressed after that first matchup against the Bills. He looked poised, accurate, and athletic. As a fan, he’s a fun player to watch all the way back to college. As a rival, I hope he busts and Brissett is starting by week 10. The Patriots definitely look like they are on the right track though. Mayo looked absolutely overwhelmed & incompetent on the side lines.

This has been an ongoing question for years. Mostly started in baseball, but migrated to all other sports. I understand the baseball part, but football penalties are way too open for interpretation. It will never happen as much as most people want it to. And NGL, I like when officials let the games become more physical. Just as long as both teams get equal treatment. Holding happens nearly every play (defensive and offense.) It will result in a flag fest every game. I hate when refs let that stuff slide the entire game and then decide to throw a holding flag during the most crucial drive. Pre-snap penalties, RTP, and FGs should all go to the “eye in the sky” for analysis IMO.

Dilfer didn’t have the physical ability to make those throws even if he wanted to. Flacco had an absolute Howitzer attached to his right shoulder

Legitimate Concern With Officiating This Weekend?
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes. Every time we play the Chiefs, officiating should be a serious concern. If I knew for a fact the game was going to be called fairly, I give Buffalo about a 75% chance of winning. Since it probably won’t be bc it’s the Chiefs on the road, I’m going with a 50/50 chance. To the people saying “don’t let the game get close enough for the referees to decide,” that’s going to be a tall task. The officials have the ability to extend a Chiefs 3rd and 20 to a 1st down with a little BS 5 yard defensive holding call. Also, it won’t be the amount of penalties which I’m sure their fans will point out. It will be the time & circumstances in which the flag is thrown. How many times have we seen ticky tack flags thrown to extend stalled out Chiefs drives that directly resulted in points ? I saw 2 alone against the Texans. This is a serious, serious concern. Buffalo might have to convert a ton of 3rd & longs on offense along w/ causing multiple 3 & outs on the same drive w/ their defense. It’s going to be the Buffalo Bills vs the Chiefs, the refs, and the home crowd. It’s a tall task. The only good thing is the NFLs entire fan base knows this so maybe the refs won’t be as inclined to throw BS flags. Their integrity is already being questioned enough along w/ the gambling. -
Lamar Jackson playoff numbers: 8 games, 1753 yards passing, 10 TDs, 7 picks, 641 yards rushing, 3 rushing TDs, sacked 29 times, 7 fumbles, 84.6 QB rating Josh Allen playoff numbers: 12 games, 3122 yards passing, 23 TDs, 4 picks, 629 yards rushing, 7 rushing TDs, 1 Rec TD, sacked 26 times, 9 fumbles, 101.5 QB rating Sorry, but it’s not even close. You can’t make that same argument against Josh who has had MUCH lesser talent to work with and is not directly responsible for every postseason defeat like your boy Lamar. It’s apples & oranges. As far as I’m concerned, these 2 aren’t even in the same stratosphere. Allen doesn’t need a system built around him to succeed. He made it all the way to the AFC championship in 2020 w/ Devin Singletary. Lamar has been gifted a top 10 RB of all time who was 80 yards short of a 2k season and MVP candidate in his own right. And I am NOT saying Lamar is a bad QB. Don’t get it twisted. He’s the most dynamic athlete I’ve ever seen play QB. But making any argument putting him on the level of Allen is just insulting. He’s just not even CLOSE as a pure passer. Take away Allen’s running and I think he would still be a top 5 guy.

Wow, did you even watch the 2011-2012 season or are you going off of selective memory? Flacco had the greatest playoff run I’ve ever seen. 1140 yards 11 TDs 0 picks. Then he capped it all off with the SB MVP which proves your bolded statement to be absolutely false.
