  1. I haven’t really seen Josh throw downfield in a very long time. Could be his receivers, but I’m not so sure. Slayton is going to be significantly more expensive. Cooks seems like a good bargain basement deal that could give Buffalo a year or 2 of good production. I definitely want to revisit this thread to see if either of us were right
  2. Hence the Brandin Cooks signing. Reliable, consistent, speedy and most importantly CHEAP. Has been a solid #2 his entire career. Draft a raw, fast WR with one of the two 4th rounders to learn behind him. I would not used another high pick on a WR unless there is a guy who fell that is too talented to pass up.
  3. It is not going to happen. The biggest complaint has been the lack of speed at the position and yet a huge percentage of this forum want to sign a dude who ran a 4.59 at the combine? This is the guy who is going to break open the safeties down field ? Tee Higgins is a good player, but benefits greatly from his QB and the WR who plays on the other side of him. He is nothing more than a Gabe Davis clone with better hands. My opinion on the WR Beane would actually go for? The more I think about it, I would actually put money down on this happening. Brandin Cooks seems like the type of vet WR the Bills would take in the mold of Emmanuel Sanders, John Brown, Mack Hollins. Cook’s production has dipped the past couple years because of an injury and the horrid situation in Dallas, but this is good as Beane will get a nice discount. He’s 31, but still has wheels, he’s a savvy vet who’s produced on every team he’s been. I think he’ll enjoy a nice career renaissance w/ an elite QB like Josh. It’s not necessarily the signing I want, but it’s the one that seems the most logical based on Beane’s track record. I feel like people have written off Amari Cooper and Keon Coleman wayyy too soon. One was dealing with an injury on a brand new team. The other was a damn rookie who still put up 556 & 4 TDs on a run heavy team. Both showed nice flashes, they just need to learn the system and gel with Josh more. People are entitled to their opinion about Coleman ever panning out, but I don’t think Cooper just all of the sudden forgot how to play ball. The last point I want to make for the people who want to throw big money at the position. You DO realize the Bills averaged over 30 points a game and got an MVP season out of Josh Allen with the current stable of WRs, right? You DO realize the Chiefs dropped 32 points on us in the AFCC and 27 the year before in the divisional, right? So what does that tell you as far as what the REAL problem is? It’s the defense. If the Bills are going to drop serious money & resources into a position this year, it damn well better be on the other side of the ball. Or else it’s going to be the same story year after year after year.
  4. Paying a RB 12 million+ is pure insanity to me. What do 3/4 of the bolded have in common? They are lethal receivers that can catch it out of the backfield or split out wide. Cook is an average (at best) receiver & pass blocker. He is one of the better pure runners in football and it is truly magnificent watching him “glide” through holes, but he is still not in the same league as Saquon. I love Cook’s style, he is extremely fun to watch, but I am NOT paying him that money. I would much rather Beane allocate that money towards more important positions like DE, DT, CB, and even Safety. If the Bills didn’t have any major holes then I think they could afford to spend $ on a luxury position like RB, but they do. The defense has YET AGAIN let us down in the post-season. I am extremely baffled by the posters who continually want to throw money at WRs when Buffalo averages over 30 points a game. The problem is so glaring & obvious, I just don’t understand it, but I’m done going off on a tangent. Do NOT give in to James Cook’s demands. Trade his ass if he refuses to honor the contract HE signed. The Bills do not need any distractions this offseason. Criticize Beane & McDermott all you want, but they have built a solid cultural foundation here. They don’t need one of their star players acting like a cranky little toddler w/ his equally idiotic brother chiming in. Sound familiar? 🤔🧐🤨
  5. If Beane even entertains this ridiculous crap then I will be extremely disappointed. Cook is nice, but RB is by far the most easy position to replace. Ray Davis has shown ability as an all purpose back and Ty Johnson is one of the best 3rd down backs in the league. I think either one of them could carry the load. Ty Johnson situation reminds me so much of Fred Jackson. He’s just never really been given the chance because of his pedigree and yet produces every limited chance he’s gotten. The numbers don’t lie, TJ has seemingly gotten better the older he gets. Career 4.6 yard avg and 5.2 last year. What really sells me though is his receiving ability & pass blocking. He has potential to be an all purpose threat in the mold of McCaffrey. I am very intrigued on what his numbers would look if given a starter’s amount of touches. I’m not sure why he went so late in the draft. He’s a pretty bulky RB with 4.4 speed. Johnson is only 27 years old and very little wear & tear plus Ray Davis taking some of the load. A 60/40 split would be ideal. I don’t think the Bills would miss a beat and might even improve through the air. The more I think about it, the more comfortable I am with this hypothetical situation.
  6. I would Go see a game in Brazil just for the women alone. I bet the players run through that country
  7. God, I hope not. That show is nothing but propaganda now.
  8. I wasn’t around for OJ, but I am going to take the word of long time fans so I voted for him. I think Josh had a more impressive season last year if I’m being honest. Those interceptions never amounted to much and that last stretch of games to win the AFCE was as clutch as you can get. 4300 yards 29 TDs 18 picks 524 rushing 15 TDs. Absolute monster season
  9. The players. McDermott/Babich work with what they got. Beane needs to do a better job of obtaining elite talent, he’s done very well at getting the most out of B & C level players, but no true game changers. Ed Oliver could be that guy, but he is constantly drawing double teams. Adding an elite DT or even DE like Crosby/Garrett could transform this defense into something truly scary.
  10. I thought it was common knowledge that a draft needs 3 full years to be evaluated. People thought Terrell Bernard (the TBD scapegoat lately) was a flop. He broke into the scene and is one of the best SPLASH PLAY linebackers in the league. I have a ton of faith in Coleman. His floor is Gabe Davis, but he could potentially be better. His body control, adjustment, and hops are all superb. Speed is insanely overrated. Give me a guy that can win jump balls and out physical CBs.
  11. She’s got natural beauty for sure and you can tell by the way she talks that she has intelligence.
  12. It’s a hard pass for me. Buffalo needs to get bigger and nastier. We already 2 smaller, elite LBs. I wish they would move TB and MM to the outside and draft a big bruiser to throw in the middle.
  13. Be prepared for weekly healthy scratches 😒
  14. You are not wrong. Elam is the worst pick of the Beane era if you are going by draft position vs production. He’s garbage and I hope he gets cut Oh yes, the defensive Wes Craven. How could I forget?
  15. Arm strength is the last thing to go. Allen’s arm will make him an effective starter well into his late 30s.
  16. Not straight up, but he could be part of a package. If he even considers holding out, I hope the Bills ship him out of there asap. RBs are in no position to do that kind of thing unless your name is Saquon or McCaffrey. Anytime a player takes to social media for contract issues, it is an automatic dealbreaker for me. Love his playing style, but his personality always rubbed me the wrong way. I felt the same exact way about pre-drama Diggs and my gut was correct. Package him w/ a 2nd & 4th and get Crosby (who I prefer because he is 3 years younger) or Garrett. If not possible, then get whatever you can get. His value is the highest it will ever be. Buffalo does NOT need another drama filled offseason. Have people not learned from Diggs? The over-inflated self worth, the NFL brother getting involved, taking to social media. Get him out here. Ray Davis & Ty Johnson are still a very formidable tandem. Both are better receivers as well and TJ brings elite pass blocking.
  17. Elam is my “not so surprising” cut this offseason. Guy is a complete waste of a roster spot. Honestly, would rather have Tre White if I had to choose.
  18. No it doesn’t. Ask the Chargers or Bengals. Takes more than a great QB. The real criticism is McDermotts performance against the Chiefs, but u can make that argument for any AFC team really.
  19. Then he could be due for an injury any time. In a tight AFC, I want a guy that can steal a win or 2 if Josh goes down for a handful of games. What’s Trubisky going to teach Josh? Draft a guy with potential and let him sit behind him to possibly be used as trade bait. The Patriots did it all the time. They got a 2nd rounder for Jimmy Garropollo and packaged Matt Casell for 10 year starter 3x SB winner Patrick Chung. Jacoby Brissett was also traded and ended up having a pretty good career although it didn’t work out in the Pats favor.
  20. Same here. I wanted him on the Bills prior to being drafted by NE. Guy oozes potential and would be a nice project for trade bait instead of proven losers like Trubisky (why is he ahead of Mike White on the depth chart?) Seems like they get Josh’s buddies as backups opposed to players with a higher ceiling. Homeboy def gives off “Children of the Corn” vibes. Very weird looking. Remember the movie the Mask? Not the Jimmy Carrey one. It’s got Cher and Sam Elliott, actually it’s pretty good, but he definitely could play Rocky Dennis if they ever made a remake.
  21. Thank you ! Allen knows he’s got it good here. He was developed PROPERLY and molded into a future MVP. He has an O-line that allowed the least amount of sacks. A fantastic running game and solid defense (unless it’s KC in the postseason, but who DOESN’T have trouble w/ them?) Teams are going to have games where they give up points, but Buffalo also has 6 games where they held teams under 10 points including the 49ers and Broncos. They also stopped the might Ravens who I think were best team in the NFL. He gets plenty of endorsements and was on the cover of Madden. Also, he is a GOD in western NY. I don’t think people understand just how hard it is to beat KC on the road where they have the refs on their side. It’s a game any team loses 7/10 times. If Allen has any gripe, it is the 13 second game, but I won’t get into that. He’s a household name and most likely going to be a billionaire when it’s all said & done. He doesn’t strike me as the diva kind of guy like Diggs. He’s going live or die with the Bills. The team just needs to keep improving and we will win one. I am 100% positive. Probably one in the next year or 2 and then another one late in his career John Elway style. We have another 10 years at the very least.
  22. Last 2 years as a project player. That’s tells you how truly horrible he was
