  1. Ice bowl, your good wishes reaching across the proverbial isle as a sign of solidarity are always timely. Unfortunate run of road games for your Pack, but you still have a great QB so there’s that ?
  2. My only quibble would be with Marvin Lewis; it was hit or miss for a minute before this season if he would be coming back so in light of the latest Bengals implosion I’d say move him back to DEFCON 5 hot. However, ownership has already given him more undeserved longevity than that enjoyed by the highway robber Hue Jackson (ironically now employed by the same FO so that’s about as guaranteed job security outside of a federal government job as you can get), so you’re probably right that your current group of 5’s still go first, especially Bowles, aka the anti-Batman of “Gotham City” ?
  3. Our QB’s elbow has been bionically re-engineered during the past 4 weeks to be a woke battering ram. That is all.
  4. Pre-Beane, and you also can’t win ‘em all. No one, not even Belicheat, bats 1000 on draft day, especially in the 5th round where NP was taken.
  5. Well, for awhile there last month especially, I couldn’t go a single commercial break with WGR’s stream on the radio app without getting to hear all about the kissmas bash 2018 (complete with the same annoying song snippets over and over) coming to town with tons of ✨ stars!! ??‍♂️? lol. If you build it they will come
  6. I don’t dispute the Oline issues. But what worries me is that even the great ones, once they hit that proverbial wall, it’s such a rapid decline off the edge of a yardage cliff—how many times in league history have we witnessed that movie playing out? The exceptions to the rule, like AP this year (who had some time off) or Sanders who quit while he was ahead, are few and far between. I’m sure he can still have moments like the Jets game, it’s just that stringing it together week after week consistently is the issue.
  7. Donuts? , if I could’ve awarded your post the Vince Lombardi trophy as well as the chortling guffaw which you already received, I would. While I fondly think back to our run of January playoff success shoveling snow against climate temperate teams in the 90’s, including the Fish, Raiders and Oilers for example, I’ll be happy and just fine reliving those set to the NFL Films trumpeting orchestral sounds in the background, while looking forward to JA putting up video game numbers in 70 degrees. Cheers!
  8. As much as I hate the idea of playing the Fish indoors in December, overall I’m also coming around to the notion that indoors is the way to go in order to maximize ROI throughout the whole year and bring in other events including possibly the SB which the NFL seems to award all new stadium projects these days? But that wouldn’t be the sole reason to do it that way, just a contributing one. Fan experience would be another.
  9. Won’t ever happen don’t think, nor would it make sense for our rebuild and trying to maximize development of youth going forward, imo.
  10. Became a fan of his ever since last year's miracle 4th down TD throw to get us the last little bit into the playoffs, as probably a lot of others here did as well--hate it for the guy, but looks like this season was well on its way to going in the tank anyway for them, so maybe not the worst outcome in the world for his long term health/longevity. Seems like a really good guy, even gave back some of the Buffalo donations made to his foundation from Bills fans, earlier this year to a Buffalo hospital before their preseason game as I recall. Good luck to him!
  11. Love it. You gotta love this kid and the fire with which he attacks this game, right?? And his teammates feed off this energy I feel like
  12. Doesn't strike me as much of a "process" team guy, but hey, McBeane may surprise us all yet! He also happens to play a position that is undervalued in today's NFL, and we should be able to keep finding good enough (cheap) RB talent through the draft process just fine, especially when we have so many other needs to fill, IMHO.
  13. I saw it as JA taking what the defense was giving him with the reads he had, and also making something out of nothing if the Oline wasn't giving him enough time to throw--that said, I do think that with more game reps and the game overall slowing down for him, we will see higher yds/game through the air and less on the ground for him. But heck, yesterday his runs were game-changers and helped us win, so I'm not complaining. It was shades of Steve Young out there at times! Also, as others here have already pointed out, this was TT in year 6-7, JA is just starting out, has a better arm and willingness to look at the middle of the field, and will even out IMHO.
  14. Honestly expected option #2 to carry the day so far, but #1 is rolling, good stuff!
  15. You don't want me to break out my really mean face sir!
  16. Ian Rapoport saying that Dougie Fresh is about to take more control of the offense = steady diet of Fournette 100% of the time, even more than yesterday. I'd rather have McD calling plays than Marrone, crazy as that may sound. And how can the Jags bring back Bortles at this point, despite the cap implications? That guy is toast, especially under that regime.
  17. Agreed--who came up with that "bold city" schtick anyway? I admit that I didn't mind seeing "Gotham City" on the Jets yesterday--too bad Batman was nowhere to be found to help pull off the upset of the villainous Hoodie and his sidekick Tommy Deflate...would have been the perfect football day then!
  18. Considering the roller coaster of where we've been this year at the position, I'm hoping and am optimistic we can finally get to some sustained improvement at the position as the last couple weeks have been an absolute 180 from where we sat once JA went down with the elbow in Houston! What say you?
  19. The new Rocketman, and I ain’t talking about the 3 foot dumpling who currently runs the DPRK...?
  20. ^^^^^^This. No need to mention any names, anyone who’s spent enough time on these boards already knows exactly who falls into the JA negative nellies group @The Red Kingis talking about. While still early, the fact is there is something different, an intangible anything’s possible type quality to this kid in a good way, that gives an old 90’s SB era fan like me a jolt of optimism that’s been sorely missed for way too long. Go Bills!!!
  21. I was responding to Jalen in the hopes he reads our boards after this one ?. Def not aimed at you bro
  22. Love the optimism!! I would definitely have to pause and at least think about it a little bit, because JA’s an athletic freak who once harnessed could be the thoroughbred that blows everyone out of the water—he did nothing today but reinforce that, setting a franchise record in the process with his legs. I’m hoping he will become a hybrid between Jim Kelly’s arm strength and Flutie’s legs—that is basically unstoppable
