Just another hill for our boys to climb in trying to get a W this week with a stacked deck against them. Have to admit that ever since the whole Hughes incident a couple weeks ago, I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop on a call that costs us the game before the end of this year as a "solidarity payback" from the zebra brotherhood. <sigh>.

Bellychick has always prided himself on being able to scheme away for the entirety of a game, at least one of the main attack patterns of the opposing offenses (be it a specific playmaker, or style of play such as run-heavy or pass-heavy). I can't wait to see what he dials up for this game and how Allen will respond. Now that Hoodie has seen what Patricia did, will he try to emulate that and rely on TB12 being better than Stafford to pull out the W? IMHO the Pats D is no better than the Lions in terms of shut down personnel, so there should be opportunities for Allen to make them pay, whichever way they decide to play him. Can't wait for this game to start!!!

I appreciate where you're coming from and the overall sentiments in your post. Normally would agree 110% in fact. However, you can't help but question the timing/motivation of this announcement/voluntary pullback by JG, given Blitz's inclusion of this: ...is facing another indefinite suspension for violating terms of his reinstatement under the substance abuse policy, per source. That said, I truly hope from a human standpoint, that this becomes a turning point in this young man's life and he can pull it together. Because he has to want it, for himself, and not go through the motions of something that won't stick if he was forced into it in the first place. Good luck to him.

My attitude/outlook have both markedly improved since Josh’s return, as I have been pleasantly surprised by just how fast he appears to be owning leadership of this team and not finding the stage/bright lights too much for him. For the rest of the team, admittedly the bar was dropped so low at the beginning of the year and then through historically awful offensive ineptitude, that we could only go back up, and that’s what’s happening now. Our D held firm, our O is catching up with contributions from the unlikeliest of sources, and the future looks much much brighter IMO. We have an opportunity to go into NE this weekend and drive a stake through the heart of the undead Hoodie and his minions, capping our comeback from laughingstock to relevant. What’s not to love about the possibilities? Go Bills!!!

Why is it that the OL is always the group receiving presents? Wouldn't they want to give JA and the rest of the QB's in that room something nice, as a gesture for all the "lookout, here they come!" blocks given up this year? Maybe a little something to take the edge off of endangering his life and limb every time they set foot outside the tunnel on game day?

Will they also spring for some genuine astroturf in the backyard? Wonder how many road rash type burns/twisted ankles the actors suffered during the outside shots playing catch or whatever out there...classic TV magic!

Good for Nate. He's none of our concern any longer, and I will wish him well because, good grief, why not? He blew up spectacularly on the field of play, but I appreciated his willingness to put in the time and effort, and also answer every single last idiotic question posed to him by the press corps post-game each week, unlike some of our other "stars" during the dog days of this season. I will take everything negative back I've said or thought about Gruden if he can competently salvage this man's career in football. But I won't hold my breath either.
