  1. Jack Kemp, 1996. Nominated as his party's candidate for VP.
  2. I heard Yolo signed with a team in the Mexican League.
  3. Like Sean McDermott, for instance? Those are Rooney Rule check the box interviews. I've maintained for a long time that Leslie and Anthony Lynn are harmed by the Rooney Rule because it turns them into tokens who get paraded before the cameras before someone else (white) gets hired.
  4. EJ can't come back, #3 is already taken.
  5. Dear Giulio, I love Italy and I love your enthusiasm for the Bills!. But I have to say I really prefer southern Italian food, not what you have up north. Being from Western NY, all my Italian friends from school were Sicilian and they introduced me to cannoli. It's OK, we can still be friends.
  6. Jeff Fisher was a useless coach. What a dumb move, in a pre season game with his backup punter and referees dressed like clowns.
  7. I guess it's not just me... https://nypost.com/2023/02/02/cbs-execs-tried-intervention-to-address-tony-romos-slippage-in-booth/
  8. Let Sweeney go. There. I said it.
  9. No excuses necessary. The defensive coaching staff was awful two straight years in the divisional round. Whatever else gets fixed, it's the definition of insanity to try the same thing over and over and expect a different result. The fact that we almost won last year is a testament to the offensive coaching staff that has since moved on to New Jersey. Let's be honest here. Except for one game against the worst team in the league, the Bills didn't have a good game since the Pittsburgh game on October 9. That's more than 3 months. And now we can be sure that if the Damar incident hadn't happened, we'd have been torched by the Bengals on that Monday night.
  10. I remember it too, first game I ever watched. I should have known back then but I was only 11.
  11. Moulds once got flagged for "maliciously spinning the football." The unsportsmanlike conduct is without a doubt the worst rule in football. Taunting should be encouraged.
  12. Amen brother. The world would be a better place if NYT stuck to articles like this one.
  13. I'll be there, it's half as far for me as traveling to Buffalo. Just a warning: the Bills have lost every game I've been to, in 4 different stadiums (Rockpile, Ralph, Oakland and NE). Will this be the one to turn my luck around?
  14. No, it was Daryle Lamonica. But memories are short...
  15. Stopped running recklessly but went back to throwing recklessly. Choose your poison.
  16. OK, maybe I'm obsessed. I went back and rewatched the game so the rest of you wouldn't have to. I counted SIX plays when the play clock said "0" before Miami snapped the ball. Several of those times the snap came after the 0 was on the clock for a full second. If I was really, really super-obsessed I'd have taken screen shots of each one of them but you'll have to trust me on this (or rewatch it for yourself). I thought I was imagining things during the game but apparently this was a thing, and it didn't include the times that Miami had to call timeout to avoid a delay (twice I think) and the one time that they actually were flagged for delay (on the 4th and 1 play). The NFL needs to get this right. I have a vague recollection from a couple of seasons ago of Lamar Jackson taking a snap well after the play clock ran down and won a playoff game because of it.
  17. I actually went back and counted the plays when the play clock was at 0 before Miami snapped the ball. SIX TIMES this happened. It wasn't just my imagination.
  18. I think we should go to three or four digits after the decimal
  19. Big Al pronounces Etienne as E-T-N like it's an acronym. Here's how Etienne pronounces it: https://www.nfl.com/videos/travis-etienne-explains-correct-pronunciation-of-his-last-name-to-steve-smith-sr He also pronounces Ekeler as "Ek-a-ler" which is handy to remember for the next time we have Haiku week around here.
  20. Miami has lost four straight playoff games, each by at least 17 points! Its the first franchise in NFL history to lose four straight playoff games by 17 points each.
