The Ripoff Report 2023 Finale - Autopsy and Prognosis
Dan Darragh replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in The Stadium Wall
You're a big man, many posters would have snarked back. I'm not sure what other choice McD had for Kelce given the roster situation and his apparently low opinion of Williams. At night, as I'm fading off to sleep, I see images of Kelce being covered by 58... -

I wonder if Norwood phoned him to console him. That would be a nice story, especially after the way Norwood was treated as a fallen hero. -

I guess the coaches like Isabella. Maybe he returns punts and kicks if Harty doesn't stick around? -

Wow, you're easily excitable. Actually you completely misunderstood my point. I know everything you pointed out, which just emphasizes mine. Williams was such a disappointment that they actually preferred a slow Klein who was heading for a family vacation in the Keys to their 3rd round pick. Williams played a whopping 6 defensive snaps in the KC game. SIX. That's not "numerous" according to the dictionary definition. (Look it up if you own a dictionary.) McD said it was the first time he'd ever coached a game with only 4 LBs dressed and yet Williams only got on the field for 6 plays. Explain to me how that disproves my point that the coaching staff was disappointed in him. Do you even follow the Bills at all? Spector was hurt for a lot of the season so naturally Williams was playing ahead of Spector. The fact of the matter is that Williams had a lot of defensive snaps early in the season but the last time he had more than 7 in a game was more than two months ago, on November 19 against the Jets. I don't recall him being on the injury reports so it seems that the coaches simply weren't happy with his play. My observation is that the Bills used Williams far less than you might have expected from a third round draft pick on a team with a severely depleted linebacker corps. I think you didn't read my post very carefully but I understand that you're upset today. Relax. -
Would the Bills have beaten the Ravens?

You mean the SB ring he already has or the new one he'll get in 3 weeks? -

Not sure I agree on Williams. Given that he was a highly touted 3rd round pick, how did he end up at #6 on the depth chart? (Milano, Bernard, Dodson, Klein and Spector ahead of him) Apparently the coaches aren't impressed enough with him to prefer him to Klein who was on the couch, and who even several years ago was noticeably slower than molasses. -
McDermott will scapegoat himself using injuries as an excuse

He'll fire the ST coordinator and won't say a single meaningful word to the press (like always) -
Maybe all we did was put ourselves out of our misery a week earlier?

I've been here for many years and never noticed it. Are you related to Chris Berman?

How about the D-line? 1 sack in two playoff games
Dan Darragh replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's what Tua said. Although he didn't actually SEE him. -
The good news is our first round pick got more valuable last night. On a side note, did you really name this thread after yourself?

I'm with you, I thought McD should go after all the inexcusable losses this season, but these last 7 games it's been clear that these guys will play their hearts out for him, and "next man up" (which sounds like most of the meaningless BS that comes out of his mouth) may actually be a THING

Allen was legendary (even better than 13 seconds Allen)

That's what I love about this board, you can say whatever you want without regard to facts. -

Hey, Von made the stat sheet! -
If by "stepped up huge" you mean "actually forced a punt for crying out loud," I agree.

The Million-Dollar Question Sticking in My Mind
Dan Darragh replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
You have 4 elements to a great passing game: time for the QB to throw, a great QB, great receivers and an excellent scheme. The QB we already knew. And last night the OL was great. So it must be one of the other two elements that is failing us. -

Forgive me for thinking our luck had changed when: 1. Josh didn't get called for a forward lateral (RIP Frank Wychek and Kedarius Toney) 2. KC fumbles through the end zone 3. Refs get both of the aforementioned right. Then - wide right. The football gods were just effing with us. -

This has been a problem all season. Josh used to be deadly on those crossing routes over the middle. Last night I don't remember a single complete pass that traveled 10 yards in the air -
