  1. Mantle and Maris were the huge stars of the day. I had both cards but I suppose everyone did. I hate to think that I destroyed those legends biking the streets of Rochester.
  2. I've often wondered what baseball cards I clipped onto my bike back in the '60s that would have been worth a fortune if only I'd have saved them.
  3. I would argue that the one-point safety is not "equally-obscure" but rather FAR MORE obscure. I believe there has never actually been one in the NFL.
  4. WHAT? The pronoun police are on TBD now?
  5. I think I actually like this one. I've hated the red PJs for years.
  6. A-Rod won the MVP when his Texas Rangers finished in last place. Think where they'd have been without him!
  7. WHEN IT'S TOO TOUGH FOR THEM - IT'S JUST RIGHT FOR US!
  8. If that's really a "type of thing" I think we need a new defensive coaching staff.
  9. Do you think Ed Oliver reads this board?
  10. NBA is terrible. Have they removed the moral sermons from the floor yet? I haven't watched since Covid.
  11. Moulds once got flagged for "maliciously spinning the football." What do you expect from a guy like that?
  12. Here's another issue: at one point we had EJ (Manuel), TJ (Graham) and CJ (Spiller) on the team all at the same time. It gave me vertigo. And what's up with all the Williamses? One year we had 5 of them! Should have just renamed the team the Buffalo Williams!
  13. I just say "Oh God" which is more or less the same thing.
  14. I have to admit that I still can't get two Bills players straight in my mind: #43 Terrel Bernard #47 Christian Benford For one thing I still haven't gotten used to the new numbering scheme. In my rusty worldview, 43 is not a linebacker number (although those as old as me will remember #32 Mike Curtis, an all-pro linebacker for the Baltimore Colts). And the names are too similar for my addled brain to sort out. I think (again, for the older crowd) that I'm still confused because of the famous surgeon who performed the first heart transplant, Christian Barnard, and I have that name stuck in my head. But that was back in 1967 so by now... well never mind. I forgot what I was going to say. Anyway, Go Bills! And Go Heart Transplants!
  15. Sean still owes us an explanation of the 13 seconds. No accountability whatsoever, and now each new game management blunder is magnified 100-fold.
  16. Yeh, sort of like the Texans game after the Ravens game.
  17. I don't buy the no giveaways bit. IMHO the blocked punt was a giveaway.
  18. Brady is a very good analyst. I enjoyed his insights throughout the game especially regarding pass routes. The fact that he was able to make the right call in the goal line situation instantaneously while our OC and HC were scratching their heads is troubling. He may be the GOAT but even a career mediocrity QB like Dan Orlovsky would have known what to do as would any 14 year old who plays a lot of Madden.
  19. Rumor has it that Mitch actually had to shower after the game, another Bills first.
  20. He'd have been a hall-of-famer if the end zone was 12 yards deep instead of 10.
