  1. What I don't get is why nobody is calling him Justin "Marshall" Fields. If you don't get it, never mind, it's a Chicago joke.
  2. Not really an issue because I don't think the Bills are losing this game.
  3. yeh, sounds like a paper I wrote in college (which I didn't write either)
  4. Oyster cards are still there and are still an option, but no need to get one if you don't already have one and if you have a contactless credit card. Since you need to tap in when you get on the train and tap out when you get off (unlike NYC where you don't need to tap out), you and your beloved should use separate cards, either separate credit cards or one Oyster and one CC By the way you can use Google Wallet, Apple Pay etc and you can pay with a smart watch which saves the trouble of fumbling for cards in a busy station. Forgot to mention is that there is a daily cap above which you ride for free. Check the TFL website (transport for London) for details.
  5. Them and the Jets. How many high picks and trade ups have these two sorry franchises burned on QB busts?
  6. You can tap in with any credit card that works for contact free payment. You can use up your old Oyster cards if they have a balance and haven't expired so try them first. Elizabeth Line is like any other Tube line, payment is the same.
  7. For those of you who haven't been to London recently, the Heathrow Express (the most expensive train ride per mile in the world) is now obsolete. The brand new Elizabeth Line (which is part of the London Underground) goes from Heathrow right through the center of town including Paddington and points east, and it costs the same as a tube ride and takes only about 10 minutes longer. The Heathrow Express costs about $30 and the Elizabeth Line costs less than $7 for a single ride, even less if you get a daily or weekly pass.
  8. When your QB starts writing tweets like this one, time to have him miss the team bus.
  9. Younger brothers are always bad QBs. Just ask Eli Manning, Derrick Carr and - oh never mind
  10. Lots of guys on this board could do a much better job than either Dorsey or Daboll. If you don't believe me, just ask them.
  11. It would have been OK if he hadn't started yelling "MAY DAY! MAY DAY" when AJ scored.
  12. Give credit to Milano (who else?) for getting downfield and making a key block to allow AJ to score.
  13. If a pick 6 is 7, why don't they call it a pick 7?
  14. Sorry, that will never get old. And it wasn't lack of physical tools that caused the safety, it was his "football analysis"
  15. We're taking football advice from this guy? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0OkR986LL4
  16. I'll be heading home (I live overseas). I figure by 9:30 I can see the first half at least, and then I have a 4 hour layover so I can record and watch the second half. Unfortunately European airlines don't show NFL games, and if I ask the pilot about the football game he'll say "you mean Messi's game?"
  17. For a variety of reasons, I booked a nonrefundable transatlantic flight leaving JFK at 9:30 PM on Superbowl Sunday. Given the reverse karma that seems to have worked so well over nearly 60 years as a Bills fan, I believe that this guarantees that the Bills will make the Superbowl. You're welcome.
  18. The 40 minute version of Thursday night's game was abysmal. There were several penalties called in the second half that were not shown so it's impossible to know what happened. Not sure if this is on DAZN or on the NFL although I'm inclined to think that the NFL puts together the edited version.
  19. Am I mistaken in thinking that the Bears traded up to get both of them? I think they took Mitch over Mahomes. In the Fields draft, all the QBs were trash except Trevor Lawrence.
  20. Antonio Cromartie should make the Hall just for this: https://youtu.be/EhOPlYWEEK0?si=Wp6F_S7cfbgQsOaS&t=30
  21. I've got some bad news for you, chongli. That song came out in 1965, not the seventies. I saw Sonny & Cher (who were already big stars) opening for the Beach Boys at the Auditorium Theater in Rochester in 1967. They sang "I've got you babe". The Beach Boys sang their new hit single, "I Wish They All Could Be California Girls" - first time I had heard it.
