WR trade candidates, who do you want?
BritBill replied to Einstein's Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cheers. It could also be a tough spot for McLaurin who's hurtling towards 30 and hasn't had a sniff of a championship yet. He's put up very good numbers with a precession of ne'er do wells at QB. There might come a time in the very near future where he starts to get angsty and wants a good go on a challenging team. Washington are miles off and might still be for 2/3 years. All depends on McLaurin's motivations of course. -

I struggle with cap numbers and that but I've always wanted Terry McLaurin on the Bills before he goes beyond 30. -

The strongest rumours for the London games are: Jets @ Vikings - Tottenham - 6 October Jaguars @ Bears - Tottenham - 13 October Patriots @ Jaguars - Wembley - 20 October If true 2 division foes having to cope with the disruption and NE having to play Jacksonville after they've been here for over a week. -

It'll make a mockery of the saying "you play for the name on the front of the jersey and not the name on the back". -
Bills trade Diggs. He's headed to Houston. An absolute abomination.

I live in a city where tourism is huge and often see folk in Bills gear. Always give a "Go Bills!". I get mixed responses. I also see gear of plenty of other NFL teams but just mutter disgusting words under my breath at them.

Odds on his funeral procession moving faster than his car chase?

The soccer finals, as a general rule, tend to disappoint. The 2022 World Cup final being a brilliant exception. However, the tournaments themselves are brilliant and will be in my top 5. As much as I love football and the Bills the Superbowl isn't an event I've ever been to or will likely get to so I struggle with it. Especially as it's usually preceded by disappointment with the Bills being knocked out a week or two earlier. When the Bills play in it and it's in London I might change my mind 😜 I think it's a cultural difference between the US and the UK. I'll throw The Ashes in there as an event which has the history, build up and in the last 20 years or so, produced some of the most memorable matches ever. The last series was immense.

I'm no gambler but I bet Beane isn't as confounded as Greg Tompsett.

Give it time. They'll still be working out how to get out of bed. -

It's worth a watch. Colin Farrell and Hugh Grant are excellent. In fact, I think it might have been Grant's finest acting moment since he told the cops the prostitute fell into his car as he was driving. The scenes with Farrell in the take away and the gangsters trying to get mobile phones off of street urchins are brilliant. It also has Michelle Dockery in who plays a very fine gangster's wife. I'll try and catch a couple of episodes of the series over the weekend. -

Have you seen the movie this series was spun from? -

After posting Dub Be Good To Me by Beats International it got me thinking about musical links. Dub Be Good To Me was co-written by Norman Cook. Cook who was a member of The Housemartins before Beats International and after that he re-invented himself as disco biscuit hero Fatboy Slim. An added bonus of of Fatboy Slim is Christopher Walken in this video. And then, also in The Housemartins was Paul Heaton (who I've been asked if I am 2 times in my 44 years on this planet) who went on to form The Beautiful South with Jacqui Abbott.

I've always liked this song. There was a British TV drama in the early 90scalled "Civvies" which told the story of a group of servicemen returning to civilian life after leaving the army. Brothers in Arms was the them tune to the show and it has always stuck with me since then. The show was written by renowned TV drama writer Lynda La Plant. I recommend it if you can find it somewhere.
