  1. I tried to put this in an Ertz specific thread but see it was locked. Nothing major... just more chatter from the Eagles side... https://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/2021/06/bills-close-to-a-deal-for-zach-ertz-says-eagles-play-by-play-man.html
  2. Hope: Marquez Stevenson makes an impact by being a dynamic kick/punt returner and Brieda gives us something as a speedy back. Think: Efe Obada will surprise a lot of people and despite the crowded DE room he will make a significant contribution to this defence. If all 3 of those guys come good that'll be a nice boost on all 3 phases.
  3. "That's it... just keep standing like this and nobody will ever know I've ripped the backside clean out of these damn shorts."
  4. Thanks for the timestamps MJS... do you have the time for Peterman's bombs?
  5. Great thread to read guys... I visited Buffallo in the early 90s when I was 12 or 13... too young to sample and appreciate all of the delights discussed here. I'll be back in the not too distant future though all being well and will do as much as I can. I'm one of those really annoying people that can eat whatever they want, and however much they want, and never put a pound on... so I'm made for this! 😂
  6. I do the even volume thing too ... but over the past couple of years I've started to allow exceptions for 17 and 27, due to the form of Josh and Tre. Seems like utter madness as I type it, but seems perfectly logical in the car. 😀
  7. Yes, they really do go off on some very strange tangents to fill time in the absence of actual football to talk about. They could condense the show into an hour in the offseason and do a better job. Mind you I still watch a fair bit of it! 😃
  8. I havent read all of this thread... so apologies if I'm just repeating someone else's point... I sleep well at night in the knowledge that Beane knows EXACTLY what this team team needs to match/defeat the chiefs and other top/emerging AFC teams and will do everything under his control to address those needs. So... yes he is painfully aware that Wallace/Jackson isnt the answer at CB2 and that will most definitely be address in FA before week 1.
  9. It'll help him get the ball back in his hands quicker. We can draft extra weapons for Josh later in the draft. Premium starting talent at CB and DE might be gone by late first round.
  10. All for trading up... but not for Etienne. One of the top CBs or DEs I could see the justification in moving up for.
  11. As we get more of an idea of the first 20 or so players to come off the board, I think a trade up just a few spots would be worth it. The quality of remaining Edge or CB at say 25 compared with 30 could be telling.
  12. Just dropped in to make sure Mitch Morse was mentioned in a few posts! 😂 Good work.
  13. With TJ Carrie visiting with the Bills then signing with the Colts again... do you think, in the time he spent talking to Bills recruiters/coaches, he would have gained any key insights into the fine detail of how the Bills defensive scheme works? Information that would be used by the Colts offence next time we play? Genuine question as I'm not sure what format these visits take or what gets talked about.
  14. Given how close Beane and McDermott work, I'm not sure any defensive players would be recruited by Beane without the seal of approval from McDermott.
  15. Yes I'll take a damn good QB for the next 10+ years thankyou very much over the fun, every time. Another bonus of having a QB when it comes to the draft (these days) is that premium talent in other positions fall down the board as QB needy teams over stretch to find 'the guy'. Here's hoping one of those premium talents fall all the way to 30. At CB or DE please!
  16. He still made the catch though, so I'm fine with it!
  17. Pats for me, home or away... hit them early before all those new pieces get a chance to gel. Not that I think that they'll be a massive threat in 2021, but I'll take any advantage we can get.
  18. Marlowe has now signed with the Lions. Quite surprising this one... thought for sure he'd be back. They must have a plan in place to replace him in FA or the draft as the safety depth is far from deep.
  19. Seems logical... we needed speed in the backfield and we now have it, and hopefully on a cheap 1 year prove it deal. Can he return kicks or punts? (Serious question!)
  20. Thanks Doc. Potentially excellent value. Also good news from a TV coverage standpoint for UK based Bills fans I think... the sky sports coverage often talked up Obada and had him on for a few interviews throughout last season. Having him and (maybe) Wade on the roster next season will mean plenty of Bills related discussion and hopefully live games.
  21. Have the financials been published for this signing as yet? Apologies if its posted somewhere already. I havent seen it as yet. Thanks.
  22. Thanks yolo for posting, Greg Thompsett has been, for me, the best Bills reporter/podcaster when it comes to cap and roster construction this offseason and probably a few before it. Always a good listen.
  23. An excellent upgrade at the backup QB. Which was much needed. And an even nicer contract. Fine work Beane.
  24. I'd agree with that. Keep him, but keep the cap hit as low as possible for 2021. You could likely get a better guard for just slightly more than $4-5M but what you gain in quality you likely lose in positional flexibility and the continuity/familiarity a returning Feliciano gives this O line. Get him back.
  25. late response on this I know ... but I would argue that this move, in comparison to releasing your entire O Line as the Chiefs just did, does get us closer to beating them.
