  1. What a night. What a team. What a performance. What a topic. Never enjoyed reading this forum more. I love you all!! Go Bills.
  2. The blocked punt vs Steelers was a factor in the outcome of that game. Not 100% his fault of course, but he didn't get that one away quickly enough, gave them a better chance at the block.
  3. I wasnt expecting much this game... but this is even worse than I feared. Rubbish.
  4. Not unless Barkley has learned how to play guard! (cant believe this hadn't already been posted!!) Serious answer: There's no doubt Barkley offered Josh Allen lots and was integral in his development and his performance levels last year. However Josh is in year 4 now and a self professed student of the game etc. At this stage of his career/development, he should NEED a Matt Barkley in order to perform. Maybe Daboll coming back down from his elevated perch to talk to Josh on the sideline on occasion is something to consider.
  5. Colts are middle of the pack with regards defending the run. According to this site... https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/opponent-rushing-yards-per-game
  6. I hope so... really dont like the idea of facing Taylor with Star, Edmunds and Milano out.
  7. its certainly a question worth considering after seeing how Klein played on Sunday. However, in my simple mind, I boil that question down to who do you want on the field, AJ Klein or Taron Johnson? In todays pass heavy NFL, and with how well TJ can read the play, tackle and cover etc., I'd opt for the nickel with TJ on the field over Klein the majority of the time.
  8. Crosby missed another field goal ... another poor hold by Bojorquez?
  9. Of course we cant be 'sure' the blame for poor O line play is on Bobby Johnson, but I agree that it's strange that all/most of the takes/opinions so far havent included him as a potential reason. I was listening to the locked on Bills podcast this morning and kept wondering why none of the listener questions about the o line mentioned him. Joe Marino (the host) didnt mention Johnson either which was surprising as he's usually thorough and extensive when it comes to diagnosing issues.
  10. Great watch. thanks for posting. I must admit I had my doubts early on as to whether TJ would become an integral part of this team. Very happy to be proven wrong on that and it looks like he will continue to improve. He's benefitted from great leadership both from the coaching staff and the likes of Hyde, Poyer and White. A great situation for any young player to be part of. Laughed out loud at McDermott saying that his main focus during the Ravens pick 6 was making sure everyone on the sideline remained calm and didn't end up getting a flag ... a good example of the attention to detail and mindset that is being discussed in the 'Sean McDermott is just killing it thread'. Go Bills, is it Monday night yet?
  11. Whilst there is always room for a JCVD gif in any post 😀 the movements that Milano is making in that vid are very possible to carry out with a hamstring strain, without experiencing much pain at all. I'm not saying the video confirms he is really struggling with the hamstring, but I would like to see movements where the leg is extended straight out more before being confident he will be able to play on Sunday.
  12. Poor choice of words and also very poor timing... not what this team needs to be dealing with in the build up to the most important game of the season so far. An excellent receiver, a very important part of the offence... but should have cut his twitter access along with his hair.
  13. Of course... I just wasn't fully aware of the practice squad protection process and wondered IF Anderson was the 4th protected player last week, would it have meant the Eagles couldn't have signed him.
  14. Could this have been avoided if there had been a 4th practice squad player (Anderson) protected last week instead of 3? That decision seemed strange at the time. At what point in the week does the protected status start and end? (Is it Monday to Sunday for example?)
  15. Roll on kick off. It's felt like a long week. Go Bills! Let's bounce back and get the season started. Dont really care how they win. Just win.
  16. Haven't read all of the thread, so may be repeating the views of others, but for me personally a defeat alters my week (in terms of consuming media, message board usage) as follows: 1. Avoid any game replays (I usually watch the 1hr summary of the game mid week) 2. I'd watch a few minutes here and there of shows like GMFB and Pro Football Talk with Florio and Simms, I usually watch 50% or more of that content on a winning week. 3. Reduction in the number of podcasts I consume in the week, however I never miss the daily Locked on Bills podcast, even after a defeat. With regards my usage of this message board after a defeat... whilst there is an awful lot of knee jerk takes and over reactions, I do find that there are a lot of well reasoned posters/posts and links to content here that helps me make sense of the defeat. Why did it happen, what went wrong, how can that be fixed, what was positive in the defeat. So I'd say I'm on here for the same amount of time on a winning week than a losing week. Sad, I know! Here's hoping for a more optimistic and jovial community from Sunday night onwards after we squish those fish. Go Bills!
  17. White on white I read earlier. Would have preferred white on blue. EDIT: Link below https://sports.yahoo.com/uniforms-bills-steelers-wear-week-165631993.html
  18. ... plus he mentioned that Fairburn would be back as a guest twice a year, for the Pats preview shows I think.
  19. Matthew Bové will be replacing Fairburn on the next Buffalo Beat podcast with Joe B... not sure if that is a permanent replacement or just for the Steelers game reaction episode. EDIT: Bové is in for the post game reaction shows only going forward according to Joe B on the latest pod.
  20. I think I heard on the cover 1 podcast that McDermott said Star was 'trending in the right direction' earlier this week, so he shouldn't be out for long. Yes we could use him against a likely heavy dose of Najee Harris on Sunday but I think we will be better off this year when Star is missing due to an improved Harrison Philips, who seems fine after that recent knee scare. We'll still have enough for Sunday and Star will be available soon after I would say. Lets see how Ed Oliver and Tremaine Edmunds do this week (who stand to benefit the most from a proper 1-Tech) and then compare it to how they do next week when hopefully Star returns.
  21. Shame, he was a good pairing with Joe B on the Buffalo Beat pod.
  22. That thought did occur to me last night Gunner... not sure what that says for us!! Yes I think I'll go for the Athletic, I've been putting it off for a while which is daft really given the amount of time I spend reading sports coverage ... might as well enjoy better quality content.
