Very surprised but very happy. Reasonable contract for both parties and a 2021 cap hit that doesnt prevent some FA moves. Plus removes a need for the draft which opens options up a bit. Just hope we can still keep Williams or Mongo. Williams for me if we have to choose 1. Well done Beane.

That is always the figure i was used to hearing however Gregg Thompsett (Cover 1 Buffalo podcast) did a good job of explaining it in more detail recently. The figure required is actually much lower than that. I cant remember exactly but I think less than $3m against the cap due to most of the draft class being at the lower end of the salary scale and not counting against the cap. (EDIT: The rule of 51 as explained more elegantly by YattaOkasan below)

Excellent news. As one of the leaders on the team, hopefully this sets an example and we see some savings made with other contracts too.

I would agree, if the article was suggesting that the Bills had emerged as THE favorite. The title is very misleading however and should have read 'Bills emerging as one of the favorites'. There're really no new news in that article. Maybe the picture becomes clearer toward the end of this week.

Joe Marino also mentioned he thought the Bills might well move on from Brown in his podcast (Locked on Bills) earlier this week.

Can it just be Saturday already ... I was off work last week and had time to read/watch every single bit of analysis/build up and the week seemed to go so slowly. Back to work this week, so thought to myself the week will go a bit quicker with distractions ... here I am though, ignoring work and knee deep in game build up again! Feel a bit more nervous for this one compared to the Colts game, but I keep coming back to the very simplistic logic that: 1. We did a decent job on Lamar last time around (from memory, haven't went back and checked the stats) so can limit them points wise to a manageable degree. 2. We have the QB and weapons to score points against anyone. 3. The playoff win jitters should be gone and we can play loose. Go Bills, can't wait.

Singletary IS Moss ... William's over Yeldon for me. He gives us a bit of burst plus yards after contact... IF the Miami game is to be believed. If Moss is injured is the big takeaway for me is that thank God we dont rely on the run the run game

Haven't read the whole thread.... but in to say Gave Davis deserves a game ball... massive plays when we needed them. Allen, Diggs and and some clutch plays from an obviously injured Beasley too. Well done Men... I'm a happy Drunk Bills fan tonight!

When that last play was snuffed out I jumped up and yelled in delight... my 10 year old daughter and 7 year old followed suit and did likewise...a great moment. Then... admittedly my emotions immediately got the better of me ... and I held my 41 year old head in my hands and shed a tear despite wanting to remain in control in front of my offspring ... My poor innocent daughter immediately thought the play had suddenly went the other way and the Bills had lost the game. I held her tight and told her that no.... the football gods are shining on us again and we have WON a HOME playoff game my darling! Let's GO!

Congratulations Brandon Beane, appropriate reward for a job well done. Love the continuity and stability this (along with McD's contract) brings the organization. Top marks to the Pegulas ... the ship has been steadied. Now all we need is for Josh to sign a half price 10 year contract and we are in business.

Decided to record the game and watch it this morning (after 1am start in the uk)... working from home on a tuesday has NEVER been sweeter. That was beautiful to watch. Even when Josh is on like that you are still waiting for him to try too much and give up a fumble/interception, which didnt happen... more growth and progress from #17. Time now to walk the dog, listen to a couple of bills podcasts and bask in this feeling with a big stupid looking grin on my face. Go Bills! Bring on the Steelers, WE. ARE. READY.

Suits us better if not repaired in time for tomorrow night... anything to slow Mostert/Samuel down a bit.
