  1. I've got it for my son, who's 10 this Christmas in the hope that the Bills are now good enough to make the gameplay enjoyable/manageable for him without having to play as a higher rated team to enjoy it - I couldn't possibly allow that! Madden 1990 is the reason I'm a Bills fan … I'm hoping he follows the same journey, he's taken more interest over the past couple of years and will be watching tomorrow night when Ed Oliver sacks Brady 3 times and we beat the pats!! Go Bills!
  2. That was superb. The in studio team on the UK broadcast were all about Dallas in the build up and during the 1st quarter.... how satisfying it was to witness their realisation that this Bills team are for real. Bring on the Ravens! Go Bills Happy Thanksgiving to you all from across the pond.
  3. Duke inactive again... was hoping he could be used a bit today to help the offense. Anyway... GO BILLS! Interested to see if this week's talk translates to a more open offensive performance.
  4. Locked on Bills for me... fits in nicely on the morning commute and Joe Marino gets straight into the content without any filler. All credit to him for his 5 days a week service. Also enjoy The Buffalo Beat as a once per week podcast. Podcasts like these allow the far away fan feel closer to what's going on with Bills and they are much appreciated. Long may they last.
  5. The following is not my take btw, heard it on a podcast this morning and it made sense... Our defense is limiting the opposition to so many 3 and outs, plus our pass defense is so stifling. This means that our D is facing fewer plays per game, and fewer high risk plays, therefore we have fewer opportunities to make interceptions etc. compared with other defenses.
  6. The breakfast in bed wasn't for her benefit... it was for mine, and the Bills! I'm trying everything possible to build up all the credit I can so the football gods will shine on us later!!
  7. I'm in the same timezone as Gunner... up a few hours ago... Lego building with the 6 year old... made wife breakfast in bed... told her I'll do whatever she wants me to do round the place until 5pm this evening, after that... I'm off the clock and don't even think about peeling me away from the screen. Mixture of nervousness and excitement for this one... I'm preparing myself for disappointment but a thread of hope lingers strong... so LETS GO!!
  8. If we lose that week 17 game to a late ficken field goal I'll throw the TV out the ficken window.
  9. Teams with 4 turnovers or more than the opposition had a record of 6-177 before tonight according to 'Around the NFL'. (Apologies if someone else had dug this stat out earlier in this thread...just heard it now on tv) Superb comeback ... the beer tastes great tonight! Great to see both Murphy and Lawson show up when we were so concerned about the production at DE other than Hughes. Promising signs for Singletary too... and Josh bouncing back from a first half he must have been fairly down over. Monday morning doesn't seem so bad anymore. Go BILLS!
  10. The team spirit and togetherness sure looks off the charts. There's no gaurantee that translates into wins but it surely cant hurt. Good to see.
  11. Plus no idea who the starting QB would be. Things looking much better.
  12. Such a shame we don't have an O to go with this D. Hopefully we can get it going this drive.
  13. Hi all, I'm a Bills fan from Northern Ireland. This MB has been a great read for me for quite a while now so thought I'd sign up for an account. I've been a fan of the bills since 1990. One of the UK TV channels showed some NFL games around then and I also started playing a bit of John Madden Football on a games console - Thurman Thomas was unstoppable in the game, which perked my interest in the real thing on TV. I went all in on the Bills since then and even visited the stadium when I was about 14 in the offseason - my family were visiting with my dad's sister near Toronto and I convinced them to drive me to Buffalo! I'm almost certain the super bowl losses affected my positivity levels as a teenager and my die hard interest admittedly tapered off just slightly for a year or 2 as women and booze become priority. I'm feeling quite positive with the current regime though and looking forward to some better times ahead. Like some/most of you, Josh Allen wasn't my choice pre draft, but I've really got on board with the pick the more I've read and watched about this guy. Plus Edmunds looks like a perfect fit for MLB. So I'm all in! That intro was not supposed to be long winded, so apologies for that. My question, relevant to this thread is... I know there's expected to be huge cap space next year for FA signings, but I haven't heard much talk of what money is available now to plug important holes at OL and WR. Can someone please provide some details on what money we have available this offseason and what class of player we might be able to bring in? Thanks guys.
