  1. I think I heard on the cover 1 podcast that McDermott said Star was 'trending in the right direction' earlier this week, so he shouldn't be out for long. Yes we could use him against a likely heavy dose of Najee Harris on Sunday but I think we will be better off this year when Star is missing due to an improved Harrison Philips, who seems fine after that recent knee scare. We'll still have enough for Sunday and Star will be available soon after I would say. Lets see how Ed Oliver and Tremaine Edmunds do this week (who stand to benefit the most from a proper 1-Tech) and then compare it to how they do next week when hopefully Star returns.
  2. Shame, he was a good pairing with Joe B on the Buffalo Beat pod.
  3. That thought did occur to me last night Gunner... not sure what that says for us!! Yes I think I'll go for the Athletic, I've been putting it off for a while which is daft really given the amount of time I spend reading sports coverage ... might as well enjoy better quality content.
  4. I can see that angle too and appreciate where you're coming from. I'm not suggesting, by any means, that this is high brow journalism and yes, some of it goes way over the top. When read without taking it all seriously though, (as I think was intended) I thought there were a few laughs in there. As far as the well thought out part goes... I just meant that the writer, who I'm assuming is not closely liked with the Bills, had a fairly good understanding of more than a few storylines and areas of discussion related to the team. Especially compared to some outlets that have based the majority of their off-season commentary on a handful of Cole Beasley tweets and ran with it for clicks. ... or maybe this really is a wake up call for me and I just need to start paying for the Athletic! ๐Ÿ˜€
  5. I'm really concerned this guy is going to cost us a few games this season with all this goofing around. Surely McDermott needs to put and end to this nonsense asap. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€I'm kidding, I love it. Keep it up. Bring on Sunday. Go Bills ๐Ÿป๐Ÿป
  6. A fair bit of thought and effort went into that. Had a good laugh. ๐Ÿ˜€ There's more factual and well thought out Bills insight in that article than some of the recent 'serious' Bills content I'm seeing (Allen will regress, Covid will be a big distraction for this team etc.)
  7. just watched the GMFB segment ... Mike Rob high on the Bills and Josh Allen as always. But why not?!! On to the game, I see TJ Watt AND Stephon Tuitt could be missing for this one for the Steelers.
  8. Long Snapper* * but only if you've spent your whole life trying to be a Defensive End.
  9. Great to see that confirmed for next Sunday Gunner, I was expecting our game to be covered live on Sky but was expecting their choice for that time slot to be confirmed early next week - well done on getting the info so soon. I have a nice new TV arriving on Monday and will be all set!! Can't wait. The Chiefs Browns game will be a good watch afterwards. Yes it was amazing how much coverage the Bills got on Sky Sports UK last season, hoping for more of the same this year. They love talking about Obada on their content shows so that can only help further.
  10. ...and Kim Pegula seemed to like it!
  11. If only Taiwan Jones could have hand delivered the document to the communications team we'd have found out at 4.01pm eastern time.
  12. Looks like Smoke requested his release from the Raiders. According to an article I intended to post a link to but can no longer find! Sorry.
  13. Yes... until I read this thread. Now I'd be expecting Ertz, a 2nd and next years 1st as well.
  14. "...then after the meeting Daboll stood up on the table and did this, horrifying... I threw up all over Ken Dorsey."
  15. I agree with your points OP and the team will be better for better depth at linebacker. However what this LB room REALLY needs is a leap forward from Tremaine Edmunds and a season long healthy Milano. Then we will really be cookin'.
  16. Good news... he looks to have some ability. Bad news... McKenzie injury may be bad.
  17. It's a similar story with the Bills and Rovers for me funny enough. The sporting gods would never let us have 2 successful and well run teams to enjoy. ๐Ÿ˜€
  18. Thanks Gunner. I've seen you mention North London in a post or 2, can I assume the Gunner part of the name is an Arsenal reference? I'm a Blackburn Rovers fan myself... nothing but misery these days.
  19. This thread has been a good read. Whilst I live quite a distance away (Northern Ireland) and cant attend games etc in person (but plan to attend many in future years), I'm not sure I could be much more of a fan. The Bills consume my thoughts all day every day. I spend countless hours on this excellent online community, news websites, daily podcasts (shout out to the excellent Joe Marino), online video content etc. That's every day during the season and in the off season. I wear Bills gear all the time, but have to constantly explain to people what it is! (Instead of getting a 'Go Bills' as I walk by ... that would be great). I couldnt fathom missing any portion of a live game. It's happened a few times and the panic it conjures in me surprises me everytime... if it is the fault of my wife it takes all that I have to remain a gentleman! A fine example of being Bills obsessed occurred this morning... today is the first day of attending a new school for my 11 year old daughter. As she was leaving the house I looked at her and said... "The one thing I want you to do today is go in there and be the best version of yourself" ! I'm surprised I didnt clap over enthusiastically as she walked up the road! I started supporting the Bills in 1990. Playing John Madden 90 is the reason for that... using Thurman Thomas and Bruce Smith was essentially cheating! I'm 42 now and seriously looking at planning my later years around being able to attend plenty of games. Lastly... a massive thank you to the guys that keep this message board alive and to the key contributors such as YOLO... fans like me who live elsewhere feel much closer to the action because of it. Go Bills. Let's win the whole thing this year.
  20. Certainly worth considering if we could get a retractable roof in exchange. (yes... sarcasm)
  21. Hopefully we hear more on the Harry injury today, I think/hope that the MLJ tweet was based off misunderstanding exactly what McDermott meant when delivering his injury update. ...and on the Diggs / McKenzie footage... that's not even a talking point for me. Diggs made a catch, is amped up to be back and more involved after a break, saw his buddy and give him a 'Let's Go!". No problems there as far as I can see. I've never trained football ... but have trained/played plenty of soccer and that's the sort of stuff that goes on all the time, between the very best of friends. In fact I think you need to be very comfortable in your relationship with your teammate to be doing that. All good. Expecting big things from McKenzie this year, but please field those punts cleanly.
  22. I agree on the Philips point and would really love to see him improve and contribute significantly this season. I know there is something like a $3.3m cap saving if we cut Butler, but is there any dead cap implications (or other negatives) involved with cutting him? if not, and if Zimmer keeps improving, then I would be in favour of cutting Butler.
  23. Despite being confident that Ed Oliver can be the player we hope... I would agree with you... Aaron Donald.
  24. Couldn't agree more... I say it each year but it's worth saying again how much I appreciate the work you, and others, do YOLO in compiling all of this great content in one thread. I don't use Twitter or Facebook so this is gold for me. ๐Ÿบ
  25. Living in Northern Ireland i never get to deliver, or receive a Go Bills. I do dream of such a day though! Strangely though, a couple of weeks ago I came out of a shop and got into my car and noticed a guy in a blue shirt with a 14 on it, he had a jacket on over it so it was hard to tell exactly, but I'm fairly certain it would have had a 'REICH' on the back. He probably wondered what the hell I was staring at from my car as he walked past. If I'd have left that shop a few seconds later I would have given him a Go Bills as a tester. Anyway ... Go Bills!
